One Piece: Rising to Power as a Warlord of the Sea

Chapter 72: Chapter 72: The Smiling Idealist!

"Seven Warlords of the Sea? If it weren't for maintaining balance, we wouldn't need these useless trash!"

Upon mentioning the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Sengoku's face turned grim. The Seven Warlords, who were supposed to maintain world stability and fight against the four emperors of the New World, all had their own agendas—none of them were trustworthy.

"If it weren't for the navy not having enough personnel to maintain order on the seas, we wouldn't have resorted to such a measure."

The Pirate Era, which Roger's death had sparked, had truly set the world on an unpredictable course.

"Is this your grand strategy, Roger?"

"Crack! Crack!" In contrast to Sengoku's serious expression, Garp was busy eating and drinking, completely ignoring the situation.

"Garp! Get out of here!" Sengoku's veins bulged in anger, pointing at Garp and shouting in fury.

This guy spends all day eating, it's too peaceful for him—looks like I need to find something for him to do.

Sengoku stared at Garp's back thoughtfully. He absentmindedly picked up his teacup and took a sip. Hmm, the taste is quite good.

"I'll handle this matter. Tsuru, about the recent movements in the New World, I need you to personally supervise! Someone spotted Shiki the Golden Lion in the New World!" Sengoku sighed deeply, lamenting the chaos that seemed to be everywhere, with unstable figures emerging one after another.

"Got it!" Tsuru nodded, glancing at Sengoku's troubled face.

Chaos at Sea, in the Qunyu Pavilion.

Kumo was circling around a three-meter-tall robot, a curious look on his round face as he inspected the machine, poking here and there.

"Did it work, Hiro?" Natsu asked Hiro, who had been working on the project. He had expected it to be a fun experiment, but Hiro had actually followed through and created an intelligent robot.

"Yeah, it's the first prototype of an intelligent robot. The combat capabilities are still a bit clumsy, and it needs further research to be fully battle-ready," Hiro explained, though his face was still beaming with pride. This success had boosted his confidence.

"But as the first intelligent robot, it should have a commemorative name. Let's call it 'The Smiling Idealist,' Code 001," Natsu suggested.

In contrast to the Peacekeeper robots modified by Vegapunk, Hiro's creation, relying purely on scientific technology and without using human hearts or other special substances, leaned more towards humanitarian principles.

"Sounds great! From now on, you're called 001!" Kumo said happily as she watched the Smiling Idealist 001 open its eyes.

The Smiling Idealist's core power came from Enel's thunder energy, and it had a thunder storage device within its steel body. It carried a two-meter-long steel sword on its back and could unleash electromagnetic cannon attacks from its right hand.

After a simple test of 001's capabilities, it became clear that while its speed and strength were not extraordinary, ordinary pirates without Devil Fruits would have no way to survive even one shot from its electromagnetic cannon. If they managed to dodge, they would face another shot.

A month later, Hiro and his Science and Medical Team successfully manufactured a hundred basic versions and fifty upgraded versions of the intelligent robot.

The basic models, escorted by Gin, were sent to the Dark World's auction house as new weapons for sale. As for their concealment, that was left to Doflamingo, for without their cooperation, it would all be pointless.

When Doflamingo tested the Smiling Idealist, he opened his arms in excitement and laughed loudly. Even he hadn't expected the Smiling Pirates to have someone capable of creating battle-ready robots earlier than Vegapunk. With these powerful weapons, the world was sure to become more interesting.

"Captain, all of them have been sold. A hundred Smiling Idealists were bought by four countries. The total auction price was ten billion Berries," Gin reported to Natsu, who was feeding pet fish in the Qunyu Pavilion.

"Oh? Where did they buy them?" Natsu asked, lifting his head and speaking in a calm voice.

"The Sauerkraut Kingdom, Camel Kingdom, and White Elephant Kingdom," Gin replied.

"I see. You've done well, Gin. Rest well now," Natsu said with a smile.

"It's no trouble, Captain. It's my duty," Gin replied, a rare smile appearing on his usually cold face. Perhaps only Natsu could make Gin smile so genuinely.

After Gin left, Natsu gently raised his hand, and a black raven appeared on his arm. He wrote a few words on a piece of paper, tied it to the raven's leg, and let it fly away.

"Hehe, it's time for the chaotic war-torn countries to change their rulers. The opportunity for promoting freedom and peace has arrived, Father!"

In the Grand Line, Water 7.

The city had been turned into a workshop by the modified Franky, who had now taken the name Franky. Iceberg, the mayor of Water 7, secretly contacted his apprentice and handed over the Pluton blueprints that their mentor Tom had protected, instructing him with numerous precautions.

Though they didn't know exactly what the World Government would do, Iceberg was certain they wouldn't easily give up on the Pluton blueprints. Only Franky, now a changed man, could best protect their mentor's legacy.

In the Alabasta Kingdom.

In a hidden building, a middle-aged man with a golden hook and a cigar was exhaling smoke, pondering his next steps.

This man was the former Warlord of the Sea, Crocodile. Though he had been defeated by Natsu and lost his position, he hadn't given up on his ambitions. Now, with the addition of Nico Robin, the Baroque Works had been revitalized, and their members were scattered across Alabasta, awaiting a major event to unfold.

Elsewhere in the Grand Line.

A group of pirates had captured soldiers of the royal army and were threatening the royal family to relinquish their kingly position. However, they were discovered by the marine admiral Aokiji.

On this day, the sea froze for dozens of miles, and the pirates were turned into ice statues. The people cheered as the marines swiftly captured all the pirates.

The navy's justice was once again acknowledged and supported by the people.

In a war-torn country in the New World.

The revolutionary army had surrounded a city. Inside, the king, once ruthless and tyrannical, was now trembling in a corner.

A young boy with blonde hair dodged bullets with his Observation Haki and quickly reached the city gates, breaking them open with a single move.

Since Natsu, the former "Golden Lightning" of the Revolutionary Army, had gone into hiding, another strong new figure had emerged—Sabo's name began to rise, but without creating a major stir.

This year, changes were occurring across the world, old orders were being replaced, and the seeds of a new era had begun to sprout.
