Chapter 188: The Scariest Uchiha?
-----
Uchiha Kitaro froze for a moment. He thought the person before him was here to cause trouble, but to his surprise, he was trying to recruit him.
Even the Five Elders hadn't expected Figarland Garling to say something like that.
"If you choose to join us, I can arrange for you to marry into the Figarland family, making you a son-in-law of the Celestial Dragons. That way, you'd become one of us."
"Figarland?!"
Everyone present was shocked. None of them had expected Garling to propose such an idea.
Ryokugyu, in particular, was consumed with envy and hatred, his eyes red as he glared at Uchiha Kitaro.
To become a Celestial Dragon! That was an unparalleled honor. Celestial Dragons were considered gods in this world. For an outsider like this brat to ascend to godhood—it was infuriating.
Kitaro paused before replying, "Sorry, but I have no intention of marrying into another family. The Uchiha clan in my world is a prestigious lineage. Typically, others either marry into or are adopted by the Uchiha clan. Never has an Uchiha joined someone else's family."
Sure, the Celestial Dragons might be the rulers of this world, but compared to the Uchiha clan? They were nothing.
"Are you that proud of being an Uchiha?"
"Absolutely!"
Garling fixed his gaze on Kitaro and asked, "Then, if the World Government were to go to war with the Uchiha clan, which side would you choose?"
All eyes turned to Kitaro, eager to hear his response.
Ryokugyu silently cheered. 'Serves you right, you cocky brat. Let's see you talk your way out of this one.'
If he answered poorly, he wouldn't be leaving Pangaea Castle today.
Kitaro, however, remained calm. Smiling, he said, "I can't say for sure which side I'd choose. But don't worry—at least for now, as an Admiral of the Navy, I have no intention of turning against the World Government."
Garling narrowed his eyes and asked, "A vague answer like that... Aren't you afraid you won't walk out of here alive?"
Besides Garling, the room was filled with heavyweights: the Five Elders, Fleet Admiral Akainu, Admirals Kizaru, Fujitora, and Ryokugyu, as well as the Supreme Commander with his army, CP0 agents, and the Holy Knights.
This was the combined might of the World Government gathered in one place.
"Afraid? Of course. Who isn't afraid of death? But asking me to turn against the Uchiha clan? That's something I simply can't do. They raised me, and I won't bite the hand that fed me."
"You could all try to take me down and label me a spy for the Uchiha clan, someone who became an Admiral just to assassinate the Five Elders. But if you do, it'd be wise not to kill me. Lock me away somewhere no one can find me instead."
"Because if you kill me, my brother, Uchiha Kitaro, will stop at nothing to destroy you. To be honest, I'm a bit curious to see what my brother would look like when he's completely crazy."
"..."
The Five Elders' expressions darkened.
They had all seen Kitaro's terrifying display of power during his rampage at Navy Headquarters.
Even they, the most powerful leaders of the World Government, were wary of him.
At one point, they had considered using Akira as leverage, similar to how Ace was used against Whitebeard.
But Kitaro's (Akira) words forced them to reconsider.
Uchiha Kitaro wasn't like Whitebeard.
If Kitaro went berserk, the entire world might be reduced to ashes.
If he decided to attack, even Pangaea Castle wouldn't be safe. Attacks from Kitaro could obliterate Mariejois itself.
Could they even catch him?
Impossible.
His unpredictable movements and near-impenetrable defenses meant he could destroy Mariejois and leave unscathed.
If things escalated, it wouldn't be long before the Celestial Dragons faced extinction.
This was the fear that haunted them.
"You're bold, kid. Is this courage something your brother gave you?"
"Well... not entirely. Mostly, I just don't think you could stop me if you tried."
As he spoke, Kitaro activated his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. The five-point star design in his eyes was mesmerizing and terrifying.
"..."
The room tensed immediately. The atmosphere felt like it could explode into battle at any second.
Akainu and Kizaru's gazes locked onto Kitaro's eyes. Thinking "Akira's eyes aren't identical to Kitaro's, that's good news"
"But they carried the same overwhelming pressure."
"This brat had awakened his own Mangekyō Sharingan, meaning he could likely summon the same giant warrior that Kitaro had used."
Suddenly—
Laughter broke the tension.
"Hahahahaha!!"
Garling clapped Kitaro on the shoulder. "Not bad! Not bad at all! I like your spirit. We Celestial Dragons despise those who betray their roots. You've earned my respect, kid."
Jaygarcia Saturn glanced at Akainu, who immediately understood and said, "Akira, Issho, Aramaki—you three are dismissed. Prepare yourselves; the promotion ceremony for Admirals will take place in a few days."
"Understood. Farewell."
The three turned to leave.
Just as they reached the door, Kitaro stopped and looked back, smiling at the Five Elders and Garling.
"Oh, one last thing. A word of advice: unless you're absolutely sure of your victory, don't mess with the Uchiha clan."
"The strongest member of our clan may be my brother, Kitaro, but the scariest one? That's someone else entirely."
"Trust me, you don't want to know what his abilities are. If you did, you might not even have the courage to stand in his presence. This isn't a threat—just a suggestion. Take it or leave it."
