Chapter 191: The Giant Squad
(Shiroryuu meaning White Dragon)

Clap, clap, clap, clap!
The sound of thunderous applause filled the air.
Uchiha Kitaro gracefully descended onto the main stage, shrinking back to his normal size.
"Move," Kitaro said flatly, looking at Ryokugyu.
Ryokugyu's expression darkened. With nearly all the Navy headquarters' officers present, Kitaro's words were nothing short of humiliating. However, Ryokugyu dared not retaliate—he couldn't match Kitaro's strength.
Silently fuming, Ryokugyu moved to the side, clearing the central spot on the stage.
This display didn't go unnoticed by the observant attendees.
The ceremony moved on to the motivational speeches from the newly appointed Navy Admirals, a critical moment to sway the allegiance of the Navy's officers. Many hoped their new leaders shared their ideals and vision for justice.
Ryokugyu, an aggressive hardliner, spoke about eradicating pirates entirely and maintaining zero tolerance for criminals, aligning himself closely with Akainu's legacy.
Admiral Fujitora, on the other hand, was calm, straightforward, and deeply empathetic. His speech emphasized justice, the protection of civilians, and disdain for corruption, winning over many who shared his moral integrity.
Finally, it was Uchiha Kitaro's turn, their Akira Admiral.
"Hm... so, I'm Uchiha Akira. Now you can call me by my new codename: 'Shiroryuu.' Honestly, I'm not good at fiery speeches, so I'll just tell you a bit about myself."
"I was born in the Uchiha Clan of Konoha Village, a ninja village much like our Navy headquarters. Our mission was to protect our people and ensure the nation's safety."
"At the same time, we took on various missions—everything from pulling weeds and finding lost cats to bodyguard duties and assassinations. You name it."
"When I was just a year old, my parents died in the war. My brother and I were raised by the clan's orphanage. By the age of four, we were already on the battlefield. That was when I took a life for the first time."
"My brother is a genius without equal, and me? I guess you could call me a little genius."
"We quickly gained notoriety on the battlefield, though fame on the battlefield isn't a good thing. It only attracts stronger enemies and endless assassination attempts."
"So, we killed them. The more they came, the more we killed. It got to a point where the mere sight of us struck terror in our enemies. Some even issued orders for their troops to retreat at the sight of us, without fear of punishment."
"But fame brought fear from within too. Konoha's leaders began to see us as threats, using economic blockades and unjust measures to suppress the Uchiha Clan."
"We didn't want unnecessary bloodshed in the village we had protected for so long. So, led by my brother, we left and came to this world."
"Honestly, the Uchiha Clan isn't much different from anyone here. Sure, we're born with some unique abilities, but true strength comes from training and effort."
"My brother? He's a man who values our clan above all else. His motto is simple: 'Those who harm the Uchiha shall pay, no matter how far.'"
"As for me? I'm different. When I first arrived in this world, I saw things far more cruel than anything we experienced. It made me want to change this world. That's why I joined the Navy."
"Now that I'm an Admiral, the Navy's interests come first. If my brother ever threatens my comrades, I'll be the first to stand against him. Until my last breath, I won't let him harm even a single strand of hair on my subordinates!"
Kitaro spoke with a calm, almost casual tone, recounting his story as if he were having a normal conversation. Yet this authenticity resonated deeply with the audience.
The notion that Kitaro said about how he would stand against his own brother to protect his subordinates touched many. It also began to shift the perception of the Uchiha Clan, especially after the smear campaign orchestrated by the World Government.
With the speeches concluded, the Admiral promotion ceremony ended. Kitaro returned to his office, where Gion (Momousagi) wasted no time joining him, casually sitting on his lap in a show of intimacy.
Not long after, a Marine officer reported, "Admiral Shiroryuu, Vice Admiral Lacroix requests an audience."
"Lacroix?" Kitaro, unfamiliar with most of the Navy's officers despite serving for a year, furrowed his brow.
Gion explained, "He's a Vice Admiral and leader of the Navy's Giant Squad."
"Giants, huh? Tell him to wait in the reception hall. I'll be there shortly."
"Yes, sir!"
Turning to Gion, Kitaro said, "Let's go meet him."
The reception hall was grand and spacious, built to accommodate even the largest of giants.
"Admiral Shiroryuu! Vice-Admiral Momousagi!" Lacroix greeted them with a deep bow.
"Heh, this codename is still new to me. Feels a bit strange hearing it. So, what brings you here? Let's hear it."
"Admiral Shiroryuu, I'm here on behalf of the Navy's Giant Force. We wish to serve under your command."
"Oh? That's quite the proposal. Why me?" Kitaro asked with genuine curiosity.
"The Giant Force, like you, is considered outsiders within the Navy. Historically, we've avoided serving directly under Admirals—mainly because we couldn't bring ourselves to follow someone so much smaller than us."
"But during the Admiral battle and today's ceremony, when we saw your enormous form, it was as if we were witnessing the perfect giant ancestor of legend. The entire Giant Squad agrees—you're the only one worthy of leading us."
Lacroix's tone grew impassioned as he recalled the awe-inspiring sight of Kitaro's massive form descending from the skies.
Kitaro and Gion exchanged glances, both caught off guard by the reasoning.
"That's it? That's the reason?"
"Yes, that's the reason," Lacroix replied earnestly.
