Chapter 193: The Mermaid Princess, Shirahoshi
-----
Kitaro and his group stepped out of the company, entering a vibrant, picturesque area adorned with colorful coral and shell-like buildings. The entire place exuded the charm of a fantastical fairy tale world, with pools full of mermaids playfully frolicking.
"Kitaro-nii, I'm taking Itachi to explore!" Shisui, unable to contain his lively nature, dashed off before Kitaro could respond.
"Go ahead," Kitaro nodded. With his permission, Shisui took Itachi and disappeared in a flash.
Kitaro and Hancock strolled down Coral Street like a couple. The bustling thoroughfare was teeming with people, both fishfolk and humans, as well as pirates.
Fish-Man Island, being the gateway between the first and second halves of the Grand Line, was a magnet for all kinds of travelers.
"She's so beautiful!"
"How can someone be that stunning?"
Hancock's beauty was impossible to ignore. Everyone on the street—young or old, male or female—was captivated by her, their gazes magnetically drawn to the Pirate Empress.
"Hey! Isn't that… Pirate Empress Boa Hancock?!"
"And the man next to her… the Heavenly Emperor, Uchiha Kitaro!!!"
The street erupted as someone shouted Kitaro's name. The crowd's collective shock was palpable—none of them had expected a figure as legendary as Uchiha Kitaro to appear on Fish-Man Island.
The murmurs grew louder, like a sudden thunderclap echoing through the street.
"That's the world's strongest man? The Heavenly Emperor, Uchiha Kitaro?!"
"He's so handsome! Lord Kitaro!"
"Lord Kitaro is a savior to our Fish-Man Island!"
"Ever since Lord Kitaro gave the order, our island has been so peaceful. No pirates dare attack us anymore!"
"With Uchiha Security stationed here, even the human traffickers have vanished!"
"Lord Kitaro, I love you!!!"
A bold mermaid girl shouted her confession. Kitaro simply waved and smiled in response. He was quite enjoying the feeling of being treated like a superstar.
"Ahhh! Lord Kitaro smiled at me!"
"Lord Kitaro, I love you too!"
"Beside him is Pirate Empress Boa Hancock—so beautiful!"
"Only someone like Princess Shirahoshi could possibly compare to her beauty!"
At that moment, a male mermaid arrived riding a whale, accompanied by an escort team.
"It's King Neptune, the Grand Knight of the Sea, and his three sons!"
"Forgive us for the lack of a proper welcome! We didn't expect the esteemed Uchiha Kitaro and Boa Hancock to grace us with their presence!"
"It's fine. I came at Jinbe's invitation and thought I'd take a look around while I was here," Kitaro replied.
"Lord Kitaro, as Fish-Man Island's greatest benefactor, please allow me to host you at Ryugu Palace. It would be an honor to extend our hospitality!"
"In that case, I'll gladly accept," Kitaro agreed. The growing crowd had made exploring the area nearly impossible, and visiting Ryugu Palace—the island's most extravagant site—sounded appealing.
"Please, you honor us! Your visit makes Ryugu Palace shine brighter than ever!" King Neptune said with a mix of excitement and reverence. Uchiha Kitaro's reputation as a formidable figure was well-earned. Thanks to his influence, Fish-Man Island had become a safer place.
After Whitebeard's death, the island had faced a surge in pirate and trafficker activity, but Kitaro's Uchiha Security forces had swiftly eradicated the threat. His name alone was enough to deter troublemakers now.
King Neptune, who had always wanted to meet Kitaro, felt reassured to see the young man in person. Rumors had painted Kitaro as a ruthless demon, feared by both pirates and marines alike. However, the man before him seemed refined and approachable, a stark contrast to the frightening tales.
Soon, the group arrived at Ryugu Palace—a magnificent castle adorned with intricate decorations. Above it hovered a majestic Eastern dragon, exuding an aura of overwhelming power.
"Welcome, Lord Uchiha Kitaro and Lady Boa Hancock, to Ryugu Palace!"
The ceremonial guards lining the palace entrance shouted in unison, their voices echoing grandly. The royal treatment reminded Kitaro just how far he had come, from a mere shinobi to a figure revered as a living legend.
"Where is Princess Shirahoshi?" Kitaro asked as he took in the grandeur.
"Well… she became anxious when the king and princes left suddenly…"
"Fukaboshi! Ryuboshi! Manboshi!"
"Bring your sister Shirahoshi here to meet our honored guests!" Neptune instructed.
"Yes, Father!"
The three brothers left to fetch their sister, while Kitaro and Hancock were escorted to the main hall and seated in the place of honor.
Moments later, the brothers returned with an enormous, stunning mermaid. Princess Shirahoshi had long, flowing pink hair, sparkling blue eyes, and an exquisite face.
Her upper body was adorned with curves, while her lower half was a shimmering pink tail. She exuded a delicate, almost ethereal charm that even Kitaro, who was no stranger to beauty, found breathtaking.
"What a gorgeous girl!" Hancock exclaimed, her voice filled with admiration. As the world's most beautiful woman, Hancock rarely complimented others, but even she couldn't help but praise Shirahoshi's beauty. She had heard of the Mermaid Princess's fame, but this was their first meeting.
"Shirahoshi, greet Lord Uchiha Kitaro and Lady Boa Hancock," Neptune instructed.
"Greetings, Lord Uchiha Kitaro and Lady Boa Hancock!" Shirahoshi said shyly, her voice soft and sweet.
