One Piece: Take the Uchiha Clan to the Grand Line

Chapter 194: Stupid Vander Decken

-----

"You don't need to call me 'Sir.' Just call me Brother Kitaro. And this is your Sister Hancock," Kitaro said with a warm smile.

"Brother Kitaro, Sister Hancock," Shirahoshi replied sweetly. Her innocent charm melted Kitaro's heart.

In the Forest of the Sea, by a gravestone:

"Nine years have passed since that terrible day—a daylight assassination that rocked Fish-Man Island to its core. It feels like a blink of an eye."

"The princes have grown into strong warriors… though Princess Shirahoshi still spends her days confined in the tower. But that situation will soon change."

"Your ideals, Queen Otohime… no one has forgotten them."

"While I don't know if he's the one from the prophecy, this man has the power to liberate Fish-Man Island completely. He has the strength and the heart to make it happen."

"I want to place Fish-Man Island's future entirely in his hands. I don't know if this is the right choice. If I'm right, your dream will come true. If I'm wrong… Fish-Man Island might cease to exist."

"If you're watching over us from above, please bless us. Let everything go smoothly."

Suddenly, a voice called out:

"Big brother Jinbe!"

A Fish-Man riding a seahorse came rushing toward him.

"What's wrong?"

"Big brother Jinbe! Uchiha Kitaro—the president of Uchiha Security Company—has arrived on Fish-Man Island!"

"What?!"

Jinbe's face changed dramatically. He had witnessed Kitaro's overwhelming power at Marineford, where he had faced off against five Admirals and brought the Marine Headquarters to ruins.

His unparalleled strength made even Whitebeard in his prime seem small in comparison. The Uchiha Security Company had since surpassed the Four Emperors, becoming the most powerful force in the world, second only to the World Government.

Although Jinbe had invited Kitaro to visit Fish-Man Island, he hadn't expected him to arrive so soon. He had planned to organize a grand welcome with King Neptune to avoid showing any disrespect.

"Where is President Kitaro now?"

"He was last seen at Mermaid Cove, but I'm not sure now."

"Forget it! I'll go find him myself!"

Jinbe jumped onto his seahorse and raced off. He couldn't afford to keep Kitaro waiting.

At Ryugu Palace:

"Brother Kitaro, Sister Hancock, have you ever seen the sun? And flowers? Oh, and those fuzzy creatures called animals? What about forests full of green plants?" Shirahoshi asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.

"Shirahoshi, don't ask too many questions at once! You might annoy our guests," Prince Fukaboshi said gently.

Shirahoshi immediately looked like a scolded child. "Oh, I'm sorry!"

Kitaro smiled and waved it off. "It's fine. The sun is a big ball of fire in the sky, giving light and warmth. You can see it on land. Flowers, forests, and animals are everywhere on the islands above. They're not rare at all."

"That sounds amazing! I really want to see it all!" Shirahoshi exclaimed, her eyes sparkling.

"Then why don't you go?" Hancock asked, puzzled. "It's not that hard to visit the surface."

"Well… Father says there are lots of bad people on land. If I go, they might sell me to traffickers. I've heard many mermaids who dream of the surface get captured and sold…"

Hancock's expression darkened. She sympathized with Shirahoshi. She, too, had been a victim of human traffickers, sold into slavery to the Celestial Dragons. Even though the physical scars were gone, the emotional wounds remained.

"If you want to visit the surface, it's simple," Hancock said, her tone softening. "Your Brother Kitaro can take you. He has the power to travel anywhere in the world instantly."

"Really?!" Shirahoshi's eyes lit up with hope.

But just as quickly, her expression dimmed. "No… I can't…"

Suddenly, whoosh!

A massive axe shattered the window, spinning straight toward Shirahoshi.

"Watch out!"

Neptune and his sons turned pale. In the excitement of hosting Kitaro, they had forgotten about that man.

"Ahhh!" Shirahoshi screamed in fear.

Swish!

A figure appeared in front of Shirahoshi, stopping the axe with a single finger.

"Thank you, Lord Uchiha Kitaro, for saving my daughter!" Neptune said, bowing deeply.

"Thank you, Lord Uchiha Kitaro!" echoed the three princes.

Hancock frowned. "What's going on? Who's trying to hurt Shirahoshi?"

Shirahoshi trembled. "I know who it is… It's a man named Vander Decken. He's been angry ever since I rejected his marriage proposal…"

"He's the user of the Mark-Mark Fruit," she continued. "No matter where I go, he can always lock onto me as his target. That's why it's so dangerous outside, and I've been confined to the Hard-Shell Tower for nine years."

"Nine years?! You haven't dealt with him in all that time?" Hancock turned to glare at Neptune.

Neptune looked embarrassed. "They're slippery. Every time we move against them, they escape before we can catch them."

"Then why haven't you asked Uchiha Security Company for help?" Hancock pressed.

"Well… We've already relied on them so much. It didn't seem right to trouble them with something like this…" Neptune trailed off awkwardly.
