One Piece: Take the Uchiha Clan to the Grand Line

Chapter 195: Jinbe’s Plea

-----

"It's no trouble at all. If we, the Uchiha Security Company, were afraid of trouble, we wouldn't be in this business."

"What's troublesome for others is a profitable opportunity for us," Uchiha Kitaro said with a chuckle, casually tossing the giant axe aside.

"Really? You can really help?" Shirahoshi's face lit up with joy. If this problem could be solved, she would finally be free to leave the palace. It had been so long since she'd gone outside.

"Of course!"

At that moment, a minister entered and announced, "Your Majesty! Jinbe is here to see Lord Kitaro!"

"Oh, Jinbe's arrived! Let him in right away!" Neptune replied enthusiastically.

Soon enough, Jinbe entered through the grand doors.

"President Kitaro! Vice President Hancock! Your Majesty!"

Neptune greeted him warmly, "Jinbe! You're incredible for inviting Lord Uchiha Kitaro to Fish-Man Island. Why didn't you tell me earlier? I would have prepared a proper reception. Everything has been so rushed, and I fear we've been less than hospitable to Lord Kitaro."

"That's…"

Kitaro smiled. "Don't blame Jinbe. He contacted us this morning. Since we didn't have much going on and hadn't visited Ryugu Kingdom before, we decided to come straight here to enjoy the sights."

"This morning?!" Neptune and the others were stunned. Jinbe had contacted Kitaro that morning, and by midday, he was already on Fish-Man Island. That speed was unbelievable.

Few knew about Kitaro's Flying Thunder God Technique, though Jinbe was among them. He had witnessed Kitaro teleport Whitebeard during the Marineford battle.

But even Jinbe hadn't expected Kitaro to traverse such vast distances so quickly. Fish-Man Island was 10,000 meters beneath the sea's surface. For Kitaro to bring Hancock, likely from Amazon Lily, directly to Fish-Man Island was nothing short of miraculous.

"Jinbe, what do you want?" Kitaro asked, looking at him.

Without hesitation, Jinbe knelt before Kitaro. The sight stunned everyone, including Neptune and his sons. Jinbe had once been a Warlord of the Sea, yet here he was, kneeling.

Kitaro, unfazed, calmly sipped his drink as Jinbe bowed his head to the ground.

"President Kitaro, I beg you… Please move the Ryugu Kingdom to the surface!"

"What?!"

Neptune and his sons were shocked but quickly grasped Jinbe's reasoning. They fell silent, their expressions grave.

"Explain your reasons," Kitaro said, his tone neutral.

"Years ago, Fish-Man Island was plagued by pirates, and the people were destitute. Queen Otohime dedicated herself to bridging the gap between Fish-Men and humans, dreaming of moving the kingdom to the sunlit surface.

"Around the same time, we had another hero—Fisher Tiger…"

Hancock's expression changed at the mention of that name. She spoke with emotion, "You mean Fisher Tiger?!"

"Yes, Vice President Hancock. Do you know him?"

"…We've met once," she replied, choosing not to disclose her past as a slave.

"Fisher Tiger launched the attack on Mary Geoise, earning fame as the hero who freed slaves. But he also became a wanted criminal. Afterward, the Sun Pirates were formed to protect him from retaliation by the World Government.

"Queen Otohime's desire for peace directly clashed with Fisher Tiger's actions. This contradiction deepened the divide between humans and Fish-Men, reigniting mutual hatred.

"Later, Fisher Tiger was ambushed by the Navy while escorting a former slave child home. Gravely injured, he refused a human blood transfusion, ultimately dying because he wouldn't yield to the humans he despised.

"Before his death, he confessed that he, too, had been a slave. Though he knew his actions hindered Queen Otohime's efforts, he couldn't ignore the suffering of other slaves."

Hancock wept silently as she listened, recalling the man who had saved her and her sisters. She hadn't known the full extent of his tragic past. Fisher Tiger had chosen death over compromise, even after showing kindness to humans like her.

Jinbe continued, recounting Queen Otohime's tireless work to gather signatures for a petition to move the kingdom to the surface. She even risked her life to negotiate with the Celestial Dragons, securing their approval. But just as her efforts were about to succeed, someone burned the signatures and assassinated her.

Neptune wiped his tears, while his sons and Shirahoshi sobbed. They had all been by Queen Otohime's side during her final moments. Even as she lay dying, her dream remained unchanged—to see her people live under the sun.

Jinbe revealed that he had discovered the culprit was a human but chose to hide this fact, fearing it would undo Queen Otohime's efforts. However, the truth spread, deepening the hatred between Fish-Men and humans.

Despite this, Neptune and his sons continued working toward her dream, collecting signatures over the past nine years. They had gathered a significant number once more.

Kitaro asked calmly, "Are you certain a human killed Queen Otohime?"

"I… I'm sure…"

"Did you see the human pull the trigger?"

"No… By the time we arrived, they were already dead."

"Then why would a human kill her? There has to be a reason."

"President Kitaro, do you mean…"

"Have you considered that someone might have wanted to sabotage peace between Fish-Men and humans because of Fisher Tiger's actions?"
