"Eh? You're looking for me?"

Shanuo was genuinely surprised this time. When he saw Zhep nodding seriously, it didn't seem like he was joking, and he became a bit dumbfounded.

He pointed at Anderson next to him, then at himself, and weakly said, "I say, old man, you're not mistaking me for someone else after drinking too much at Uncle Ruur's place this noon, right?"

"Brat, don't look down on me!"

Zhep squinted his eyes, snorted coldly from his nose, and his golden, twisted mustaches twitched, giving a rather comical impression. "I did drink this noon, but with my drinking capacity, there's no way I'd be drunk enough to mistake someone!"

"Really not looking for Anderson?"

Shanuo was still a bit confused. Just as he was about to ask for clarification, Zhep suddenly stepped forward, bent down, and stared at Shanuo's face with wide, copper-sized eyes, examining it carefully.

Just as Shanuo started to feel uncomfortable under the intense stare, Zhep suddenly reached out and rubbed his head, laughing heartily. "Haha, it really is similar, you look exactly like that kid when he was young!"

"Hey, old man, just say what you need to, don't touch my head randomly!"

Shanuo's hair immediately became a mess when the rough hand touched his head, and he instantly became furious. He couldn't care about his attitude anymore, yanked Zhep's hand away, and yelled.

The reason for his agitation was twofold: first, Shanuo had serious OCD and couldn't tolerate his hair being messed up; second, as a person with a twenty-year-old soul who had crossed over, being treated like a little kid and having a "head-pat kill" thrown at him felt quite awkward…

"Such a hassle…"

Shanuo quickly rearranged his disheveled hair and finally remembered what Zhep had just said. He raised his head, confused, and asked, "What do you mean, 'exactly the same'?"

Zhep didn't expect that his simple act of rubbing the kid's head would cause such a big reaction. His hand was still frozen in mid-air as he looked confused.

Hearing Shanuo's question, he reluctantly withdrew his hand, stroked his mustache, and awkwardly said, "Cough, cough, what I meant was, you look very much like your father…"

"Father?"

Shanuo was taken aback by this unexpected statement.

His previous father, the one from the body he had taken over, had set out to be a pirate a year before Shanuo crossed over, and he hadn't heard anything about him since. They hadn't been in contact with Andrik Island either.

Therefore, Shanuo's impression of his biological father was limited to some blurry, fragmented memories from his childhood, knowing that his name was Costa and that he seemed to like drinking a lot, but not much else. There was no familiarity to speak of.

Although, truth be told, there was a bit of a resemblance in appearance between the two, but how did Zhep know?

"You know him?" Shanuo looked at Zhep in confusion.

"Ah, yes, your father Costa was quite a remarkable pirate," Zhep said, smiling as he glanced at the nearby little brat, who was happily eating lobster. Zhep seemed to remember something, his thick eyebrows furrowing as he sighed lightly. After a moment's hesitation, he spoke quietly to Shanuo, "Hey, kid, it's not convenient to talk here. How about we go to your house and talk?"

"Go to my house?"

Shanuo hesitated for a moment, but after seeing Zhep's sincere gaze, he nodded and said, "Alright, follow me."

The autumn weather was always so unpredictable. It was still sunny and clear earlier, but now dark clouds were gathering, and the sky had turned much darker. It seemed like a heavy rain was about to pour down.

Good times always felt so short. Less than twenty minutes had passed, and the entire large platter of lobster had been devoured by the three little brats, leaving only some red sauce and lobster heads on the plate. Even the shells had been chewed up and swallowed by the little devils.

"Eh, it's all gone? I haven't eaten enough…" Looking at the empty table, Roy scratched his head and grumbled.

"Haha, Roy, that's what you get for being slow. You only ate a few, but I ate half of it all by myself. You and Anderson together didn't eat as much as me. I was already full," Bill, the chubby boy, patted his round belly proudly and teased Roy.

"Hmph, eat, eat, eat, all you think about is food. Keep going, and one day you'll turn into a ball and won't be able to walk. Let's see what you do then," Roy sniffled and, feeling a little disdainful, shot Bill a glare. He muttered, "If that old man hadn't snatched a few lobsters, I would've been full."

"Tch, if that old man didn't take some, I would've eaten them all anyway. You wouldn't have had any left," Bill snorted, then seemed to remember something. He looked in the direction of the closed wooden door, confused. "By the way, didn't that old man go into the house with Shanuo? It's been so long, why hasn't he come out yet?"

"Who knows," Roy shrugged. Just like Bill, he had been too focused on eating lobster to pay attention to Shanuo and Zhep's conversation.

But when he noticed Anderson, who had been quiet the whole time, his eyes suddenly lit up. "Hey, Anderson, that old man seemed to know you. Do you know what he wanted with Shanuo?"

"I'm not sure, but I heard my dad say this old man used to be some big pirate," Anderson adjusted his black-framed glasses and looked worriedly at the little wooden house. "A guy like him may seem friendly now, but when he was young, he probably did a lot of bad things."

"Big pirate?"

As soon as Anderson finished speaking, Roy and Bill both took two steps back in fear. The more timid Roy even turned pale and trembled as he stammered, "No… no way… that old man, I just hit him. How could he…"

Bang!

A dull sound suddenly came from not far away, interrupting Roy's stammering words and causing the little group to jump in shock.

Carefully looking in the direction of the sound, they saw that the wooden door, which had been tightly shut earlier, was now wide open. The frightening old man they had feared was walking out with Shanuo, both of them talking in low voices, their expressions complicated.

But the voices were too quiet for Roy and the others to make out, leaving them all with confused looks on their faces.
