Orion and the Primordial System

Chapter 35: Chapter 35: A Quiet Day?

After Pyralis left Orion and Lyra's divine realm, the castle returned to its usual rhythm. The primordial couple continued to observe the mortals with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. Wars and disputes between empires and sects filled the nights in the hall. Eryndor, in particular, was in conflict with a savage empire, something that kept Orion and Lyra entertained as they followed the unfolding events.

The presence of new ranks in the Empire of Eryndor seemed to bring a new balance, indicating the growth and evolution of its inhabitants. The cosmos itself seemed to react to these changes, and then a familiar sound echoed through the sacred space of the castle.

『Ding』

『Congratulations! The Eryndor Empire has achieved new rankings among its inhabitants:

— Nascent Soul Realm: 1% of inhabitants

— Innate Realm: 9% of inhabitants

— Core Formation Realm: 20% of inhabitants

— Foundation Realm: 30% of inhabitants

— Spirit Refinery Realm: 20% of inhabitants

— Mortal Realm: 20% of inhabitants』

Orion smiled as he saw the progress of his citizens, intrigued by the direction these individuals were taking. The divine system quickly interpreted the new rankings, and within seconds, the sound of rewards being generated echoed throughout the vast hall.

『Rewards Generated... Issuing Rewards...』

In the same instant, items of power appeared in strategic locations throughout the Eryndor territory, disguised as natural relics, awaiting the chosen ones who were worthy of finding them. Essences of divine energy, weapons, and mystical objects were bestowed upon the inhabitants of Eryndor, reflecting the advancement of their empire.

Lyra, watching the rewards unfold, turned to Orion with a contemplative look. "It seems that Eryndor is growing rapidly in strength. Soon, they may become a power beyond what any other mortal empire on that continent could imagine."

Orion inclined his head, a slight smile on his lips. "It is the cycle of evolution, my dear Lyra. They are ready for the next chapter of their journey. We merely watch... and perhaps, who knows, we may guide some of these promising souls."

As the divine couple exchanged glances, the cosmos conspired to ensure that the Eryndor Empire would continue to rise, and the fate of the new generations was only just beginning to unfold.

Orion lay lazily on his couch, his eyes intently watching the battles unfolding in the mortal world, searching for a way to make the spectacle even more interesting. He thought about how to improve it, until the sound of footsteps echoed through the room. When he turned around, he saw Lyra, who had just gotten out of the shower and had an almost surreal presence.

Lyra was wrapped only in a bath towel, her long, wet purple hair falling in disarray over her shoulders, leaving small droplets of water running down her neck and collarbone, highlighting the glow of her flawless skin. Her eyes, a mesmerizing mix of tones that alternated between black, purple, blue and gold, had a lazy glow, as if she were immersed in a serenity of her own.

Her voluminous breasts, of dazzling beauty, moved naturally and mesmerizingly under the towel with each breath. It was as if her presence dominated the room, radiating a mysterious and irresistible aura. The skin seemed almost ethereal, reflecting a subtle light, as if constellations of stars twinkled beneath the surface, illuminating it with an otherworldly softness.

Orion felt his mind wander for a moment, completely paralyzed by the sight before him. He blinked, trying to regain control, but his heart was beating faster than he cared to admit.

"Cough...cough...darling, are you...seducing me?" Orion's voice sounded hoarse and hesitant, the question escaping his lips before he could stop it, a slight smile forming on Lyra's face as she realized the devastating effect she was having.

Lyra let out a mischievous smile, trying to control the laughter that threatened to break out at the impact her presence was causing. "No, dear... but who knows, it could be," she replied, a teasing glint in her eyes. She adjusted the towel around her, smoothing her damp hair, which reflected the light like a constellation moving in its own universe.

"The truth is, it got very hot in here after you created that special flame and placed it in one of the rooms of the castle to fulfill your role as God to the Goddess of Fire," Lyra commented casually, remembering the recent incident.

Orion remained silent, watching her with an enigmatic smile.

"Besides... why create a flame that, technically, should have been brought by the Fire Primordial himself when he assumed his role?" She frowned, puzzled. "Shouldn't the balance correct that the Primal Flame existed before the time that the Primal Chaos decreed?"

Orion continued to admire her, finally answering with an eerie calm. "Who says that the Primal Chaos does not give rise to Order itself?" he murmured, his eyes glittering with an ancient glow. "Pyralis is the one whom 'I' decreed as destined to become what she must be."

Lyra tilted her head slightly, attentive to what he was saying, as he continued.

"Her destiny was rewritten by conquering the test I left in the Realm of Dreams. Since then, Pyralis has become 'fateless', an existence outside the Dao of Fate. She has control of the Primal Flame, but this power comes with one condition: she must prove it not just once, but every dawn and dusk from that day forward."

Orion paused, his eyes turning to Lyra with an intensity that seemed to cross time and space. "Perhaps she will be consumed by her own flame, and will never become what she could be. Even though she is 'destinyless,' she is still part of the balance of the multiverse and answers ultimately to the Primal Chaos. If she does not prove herself worthy, the power will pass to the next."

He shrugged, as if this were as natural as the passing of the seasons. "That is the true balance the multiverse demands of powers such as hers, and of all who possess gifts that challenge the very fabric of existence."
