Chapter 71 - The Thirteenth God
“Are you talking about her?” Du Ba Tianxia’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
Could it be that Qian Chonglang can invite the Dharma Saint?
The best way to counter these two bosses is with group attack spells and skills.
As one of the Twelve Gods, the Dharma Saint was rumored to have the incredible ability to turn any single-target spell into an area-of-effect attack.
There was this one time when she used a level 30 meteor spell that packed the punch of a level 80 group damage skill. The meteors and fire rain onslaught annihilated an entire 500-player guild – it was downright terrifying.
This mage was notorious for her obsessive pursuit of magical research. She had a knack for twisting spells and skills to produce unpredictable effects.
In the entire online gaming world, only the now-deceased Supreme God could rival her magical prowess.
Can Qian Chonglang really invite the Dharma Saint?
“Don’t misunderstand,” Qian Chonglang seemed to know what he was thinking and interrupted, “I’m not talking about the Dharma Saint, but rather a neutral boss.”
The neutral boss?
Du Ba Tianxia’s face went blank. “You can’t be serious. You mean the Blood Skeleton? You really think you can invite it?”
Although Qian Chonglang is one of the Twelve Legends and sought after everywhere, he can’t just spout nonsense, right?
The Blood Skeleton can be invited?
Qian Chonglang flashed a mysterious smile. “Others might not be able to, but I can make it happen. But have you thought about the reward you’ll need to offer?”
Du Ba Tianxia’s disbelief was still written all over his face. “You’re serious? You can really get the Blood Skeleton to show up?”
Although neutral bosses, like NPCs, are intelligent beings, the Skeleton is the lowest level among all neutral monsters.
Can the Blood Skeleton even understand what players are saying?
“I’m the exception, of course I can do it,” Qian Chonglang said with a confident tap on his chest. “You should think about what kind of reward you’re willing to offer.”
Du Ba Tianxia raised an eyebrow. “Hold up, Chonglang. Even if you can invite him, it won’t make a difference. These two bosses have ridiculously high physical defense and only take magic damage.”
Du Ba Tianxia’s brow furrowed, “I heard from players in the Tianxiu Guild that this Blood Skeleton seems to have no magic damage.”
Qian Chonglang’s face fell as he slapped his forehead. “Ah, I’m such an idiot. Sorry about that.”
He forced a sheepish grin. “Tell you what, I’ll reach out to some of the Dharma Saint’s disciples and see if they’re available to lend a hand.”
Du Ba Tianxia’s face lit up with gratitude. “Thanks so much, Brother Chonglang! You can count on a generous reward.”
Qian Chonglang nodded. “Alright, I’ll go make some calls.”
With an apologetic smile, Qian Chonglang slipped out of the restaurant, pursued by a swarm of admirers eager to catch a glimpse of the legendary gamer.
As Du Ba Tianxia watched Qian Chonglang flee from a swarm of adoring fans, he couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions.
“As expected of the Twelve Legends. Not only is he popular and highly skilled, he even uses the best equipment.”
He had noticed that Qian Chonglang’s entire body was basically equipped with level 15 gear, some of it even blue!
Only two days had passed since the server opened, yet Qian Chonglang had already acquired such extravagant gear, a testament to his exceptional skills.
But one question lingered in his mind: where had he managed to obtain such rare and valuable drops?
…
On a mountain trail in the Gloomy Woods.
Zhang Mengmeng was pulling a wooden cart and walking out of the forest with a mysterious gait.
Behind her was Jiang Cheng standing next to her, as well as Blood Raven and Dreadful Skeleton sitting on the wooden cart.
Zhang Mengmeng pulled with great effort, leaving a deep footprint with every step.
But Jiang Cheng didn’t let her stop.
His purpose in doing this was naturally to let her practice footwork and learn Phantom Steps.
He planned to train A Silly Cutie to become the Thirteenth God in the online gaming world!
