Parallel World Spider-Man

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: A Day with Two Spider-Men

"Um... Do I really have to jump down from here?"

In an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Brooklyn, Bi De stood on a beam about ten meters above the ground, staring down nervously. He couldn't help but swallow.

At the moment, he was still wearing the iconic Spider-Man costume—tight-fitting and specially designed for combat.

This was the suit Aunt May had given them before they set out.

It was said that the Peter Parker of this world owned over a dozen different versions of the suit, tailored to different eras. Knowing about Bi De's situation, Aunt May had lent him the most classic one, the red and blue suit that Peter first wore when he became Spider-Man.

Bi De was of a similar age and build to this world's Peter Parker. Since the suit was tight and highly stretchable, it fit him surprisingly well.

"Of course!" Spider-Man Noir stood beside him and said confidently. "Every Spider-Man starts like this!"

"It sounds like you know a lot of Spider-Man stories," Bi De muttered under his breath.

"Hm?" Spider-Man Noir shot Bi De a dangerous look, his hand already raised.

"Wait!" Bi De quickly stopped him.

"What's wrong?"

Bi De replied, "I think there's a bug in this testing method."

"Oh? What do you mean?" Spider-Pig chimed in.

Bi De continued, "You need to understand that not every Spider-Man can produce webs. What if I'm one of those who can't? Then I jump down and wham—I hit the ground!"

"Hmm, that is a problem," Spider-Man Noir glanced at Bi De, looking momentarily confused.

He thought back to how his own powers had awakened. He had been bitten by a spider that crawled out of a statue, and then he had met the Spider-God and received the power, instantly knowing everything. There was no slow process of getting used to the abilities.

Spider-Pig interjected, "With our physical capabilities, falling from this height shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Bi De: " What is this sorcery?!"

Spider-Man Noir: "You have a point!"

"Wait!" Bi De quickly raised his hands again in an attempt to fix the situation.

"What now?" Spider-Pig was eager to help, clearly ready to take action.

"But I've only been bitten by a spider for a day!" Bi De said urgently. "What if my abilities haven't even started to manifest yet?"

Spider-Man Noir: ...

Spider-Pig: ...

Spider-Man Noir sighed in resignation, "Alright then, what do you think we should do?"

Bi De suggested, "Why don't we start with something simple? Like combat skills or wall-crawling?"

"Okay, fair enough," Spider-Man Noir thought for a moment and agreed. He realized that he had been too eager to rush things.

Even though they were here to guide Bi De, and no matter how things went, they would keep him safe, rushing ahead without properly assessing his abilities would be counterproductive.

In comparison, focusing on combat skills felt more practical.

With that, Spider-Man Noir grabbed Bi De, shot a web from his wrist, and swung down from the beam.

Spider-Pig followed closely behind.

The three of them landed on the ground, ready to begin combat training.

Spider-Man Noir's style was somewhat like Marvel's version of Batman. But unlike other Spider-Men, he was not averse to killing.

His combat skills weren't those elaborate martial arts routines—just simple, effective techniques for real-world combat.

Though it might seem like a no-frills approach, it was highly effective.

It was also well-suited for a Spider-Man with high agility, high output, and incredible durability like Bi De.

Although Bi De hadn't yet demonstrated any enhancements to his physical abilities, there was no doubt that Spider-Man Noir's methods would work for him.

Oh, and Spider-Man Noir was also good with firearms.

He carried a small revolver with him, but considering the situation in Bi De's home country, he chose to keep his weapon concealed for now—focusing on learning combat skills first.

On the other hand, Spider-Pig didn't have much to teach Bi De.

But that wasn't because Spider-Pig was weak. Quite the opposite.

Bi De even suspected that Spider-Pig might be one of the strongest Spider-Men across all parallel universes.

Because he was a character from a comedic comic!

Spider-Pig could casually pull out a hammer from his pocket, one that was the same size as himself, and then just as easily return it to his pocket.

And the hammer wasn't inflatable—it was a real wooden hammer, possessing magical properties that allowed it to neither break nor change size at will.

Just completely illogical.

So, under the guidance of these two Spider-Men, Bi De began his journey to unlock his potential.

Meanwhile, Peni and her Spider-Mech were deep in the basement of the local Spider-Man's home, using high-tech equipment to search for information on Kingpin's particle collider.

However, Kingpin clearly valued this project highly, and the security measures were extremely tight.

Peni wasn't making much progress.

Later that evening, Bi De returned to Aunt May's house, feeling a bit down after a full day of training with the two Spider-Men.

Although Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Pig had both been dedicated to teaching him, it seemed that either his natural aptitude wasn't suited for combat, or his powers simply hadn't manifested yet.

In any case, the results were minimal.

Neither Spider-Man Noir nor Spider-Pig said anything to criticize him. Instead, they comforted him. "We were all beginners before becoming Spider-Man. It's normal to be slow at first."

They didn't add, "Combat is the best teacher."

When they started, they had no combat experience either. All their skills had been earned through countless battles.

But they knew that rushing things wasn't the way forward.

For some reason, though, other than his spider-sense, none of Bi De's other powers had shown up yet.

Or perhaps they had already manifested, but they hadn't figured out how to recognize them?

They also learned that Peni had made little progress as well.

So, once again, they found themselves back at square one.

Aunt May comforted everyone, suggesting they have dinner first, and afterward, they could think things over slowly.

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Ding-dong.

Everyone tensed, glancing nervously at the door.

Aunt May stood up. "Probably another fan. Stay here, I'll go check."

As she walked toward the door, she casually grabbed a baseball bat.

How can she handle that so easily?

Clang!

The baseball bat fell to the ground, drawing everyone's attention.

Aunt May stood in the doorway, her back to them. They couldn't see her expression, but her trembling body betrayed the shock she was feeling.

"Peter..."
