Chapter 255: Ginny releases the basilisk

After that the metal door started to open with the serpents moving out removing the lock holes.

Hermione knew that it was time for her to leave here.

The next part is for Tom riddle to use Ginny to awaken the basilisk.

Hermione should not stay here and leave here quickly so that she would not fall into prey for the basilisk.

On the other hand she has even bigger doubt about the management of the college.

If they knew that there is such a dangerous creature they have to hunt it down and use any means necessary to catch the culprit.

They did not even bulge from their place and let a second year student handle this mess.

They also explain that there are some wizards like the Malfoy family who think they are better than everyone else because they are Purebloods. 

After they return to the castle, Professor McGonagall assigns Harry, Hermione and Ron their detentions. 

Harry is made to help Lockhart answer his fan mail, while Ron polishes the college's prizes and trophies. 

As for Hermione she was told to be in detention with Hagrid.

For that Hermione really became happy.
