Chapter 12: chapter 12

Chapter 12 - Scaly

"I straightened unconsciously as I listened to them speak. 'Isn't this too much of a coincidence? I just decided to walk for a while and heard this. The artifact that can create coincidences from the novel I read exists here?' I pondered this seriously. According to the records of the tribe that killed my father, at least a month should have passed when they found the mysterious gem. 'Maybe that merchant is still wandering around this area and I got lucky,' I thought as I quickly closed the distance between us. One of the bandits suddenly swung a knife at the merchant's belly. I swung my legs wildly as the bandit's hand along with the knife was taken away. 'If you want to live, run,' I said in an irritated tone. The bandits ran as fast as they could to save their lives. When I looked at the merchant, the expression on his face was one of pure shock. 'It must be quite strange to encounter a child in this era. Even stranger for that child to make a hand fly with just one kick.' 'Are you okay?' I asked, hoping to calm him down. But he grew even more frightened. 'Y-yes,' he stammered. 'If you don't mind, can I take a look at that magical gem of yours?' I asked with a gentle smile. 'Y-yes, if you want, I can even sell it to you,' he replied, scared and a little greedy. When I took the red stone similar to his gem, I immediately knew it was fake and crushed it. I looked at him angrily as he flinched. 'What is the meaning of this?' I barked. He looked quite scared. 'Maybe this isn't the same merchant, but a different one.' 'Did you trade in the tribe near the source a month ago? Did you also show them this stone?' 'Y-yes, I went to that tribe last month. But I didn't sell those magic stones to them,' he replied immediately. 'Still calling these fakes magic stones.' I immediately pulled out the bag he had with him. Inside, many similar red stones were stacked on top of each other. 'This guy is a professional scammer.' 'What is your name?' 'Itzcali.' 'Well, Itzcali, what are you doing with these stones?' Soon he told this experience. He was a merchant under a rich merchant in the capital Tenochtitlàn. His job was to trade goods outside the empire. During one of his travels further north, he met a man named Silva. This man called Silva claimed to be a servant of Niccoló dé Conti. Silva reported that his master Niccoló dé Conti traveled from Europe to the land of gold, Asia. There, he visited many places, including India and China, among several other places. On one of his trips, he saw a stone of similar ownership. But the owner refused to sell it. Upon hearing this story, Itzcali found it interesting and planned to use it to deceive and make money.

He produced many cheap copies that looked similar. Using some mean tricks, he made the stone burn things by refracting sunlight.

'So, the possible location of the Red Aja Stone is in Asia. But I can't be so sure, as it could also be a hoax. But going to Asia now is very dangerous, as I have a great chance of encountering Muzan and his demons. Compared to Muzan, I'm just a child.'

This matter has to be put on hold for now until I have enough strength. I also have a strange feeling that the stone will never leave Asia.

As the sun was beginning to rise, I left the merchant and returned home. I also visited my father's grave for a while. My mother was still asleep.

I had nothing better to do, so I started studying astrology and science. It became one of my favorite pastimes, as there was no entertainment here.

My mother soon woke up in the morning and unconsciously left the house. I promptly reminded her before she turned to ashes.

'She's still adjusting to the weakness of sunlight.'

She went to take care of some tribe matters at home. Again, I was left in my room sitting lazily and letting my thoughts wander.

'It seems that even if I avoid it, I am destined to go to Asia and probably to Japan. I don't want to send other people to search for the stone. I doubt they'll even find it.

I am fated to meet Muzan and his demons, the powerful killer who was in Muzan's memory and the body of killers. I'm almost certain to come into conflict with the body. If I become powerful enough, can I make Muzan cooperate with me?

But for that, I should have the necessary strength. For that, I should unlock the elemental mode. I'm only six years old. Is my body lacking or something? It seems like I'm almost missing something.

Argh, I have a headache just thinking about it.

Maybe I should create a group of vampires to be my helpers. But what if they become addicted to consuming blood?

If this happens, humans will feel threatened, which may well lead to the start of the vampire extermination body. Maybe some genius will learn to control the hamon.'

I was getting more depressed, so I stopped my thought process. Even though I am strong, I seem to have more problems than ordinary people.

The day passed quickly, I was very depressed and did nothing productive.

'I need to improve my will. I think I'm weak-willed. I get depressed quite easily and don't want to face any problems.'

On the night I would again help train my mother.

'Even though she has become a vampire, she is not underestimating Acalan and is training.'

Soon we went to the cave and started our training. It seems that she is quite talented and has improved a lot.

"Mother, as I said, you can mimic the elements with your body. You need a greater amount of control for that. For example, you can increase the temperature of your blood to mimic fire. You can try." She soon tried and I was amazed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I got the timeline wrong 😅. The day Huitzilin reincarnated was changed from 1448 to 1458.
