Chapter 48: Gible Training
Haru was looking at his Gible as he sighed again, from when the Gible came out of its Egg it looked like a true fight ready to fight which was interesting to see for a baby Pokémon, then he remembers this a Dragon Type Pokémon and then he once again Rember Gible Final Evolution is consider a Pseudo Legendary Pokémon.
James looked at Haru Gible. "Are all Dragon Type Baby Pokémon like this".
Haru just srugged as he spoke. "I don't know". He then remembers Zekrom from his past Life, as he though to him self. "Zekrom was a God, so I had no experience with other dragon type Pokémon in my past life so this is new for me".
Casey looked at Gible, who was currently trying to bite a rock. "Well, at least it's got a lot of spirit. You sure it's ready for serious training?"
Haru sighed, watching Gible chomp through the rock like it was a snack. "Ready or not, it needs discipline. If I let it run wild now, it'll be impossible to handle when it evolves."
Jessie raised an eyebrow. "Discipline? You make it sound like you're training a military recruit."
Haru chuckled. "Considering Garchomp is basically a one-Pokémon wrecking crew, yeah, it kinda feels that way."
He then crouched down and called out to Gible. "Alright, buddy, no more fooling around. Let's see what you can do."
Gible ran over, practically bouncing with excitement, as Haru set up a series of training exercises.
For the next hour, Haru worked with Gible, focusing on its moves—Metal Claw, Outrage, Sand Tomb, and Mud Shot. While Gible's enthusiasm was undeniable, its aim needed serious improvement, as most of its attacks ended up missing or hitting unintended targets.
James ducked as a stray Mud Shot barely missed him. "Maybe start with aiming lessons?"
Casey laughed. "At least it's got power. Look at the size of that crater!"
Haru nodded, wiping some dirt off his jacket. "Yeah, power isn't the issue. Precision and control, though? That's going to take work."
By the end of the session, Gible was panting but still looked ready to fight. Haru smiled, patting its head. "Good job, little guy. We'll make a champion out of you yet."
Jessie smirked. "Let's just hope your champion doesn't accidentally take out half the town before then."
Everyone laughed, while Gible let out a happy cry, clearly proud of its progress. Haru then looked at the Pokémon he trades in. "Ok Gible, hope your ready for your first fight, I am sure you and she will be good friends".
As he then sent out the newly catcher Teddiursa. The little Bare Pokémon looked at Haru and hugged his leg.
Jame looked at Haru. "Really?".
Haru looked as he spoke. "Swampert is too strong, Gyarados is a monster, Scizor will also destroy this little guy, Houndoom will probably accidentally crush the little guys spirit, Electivire she is too feisty, and Ursaring will she will get over protecting mother over the Gible, so you tell what other Pokémon I have that can give Gible a figthing chances".
Casey laughed as she watched Teddiursa cling to Haru's leg. "Well, you've got a point there. But, are you sure Teddiursa can even spar properly? It looks more like it wants to cuddle than fight."
Haru gently pried Teddiursa off his leg and set it down in front of Gible. "It's not about a serious battle. It's about getting Gible used to fighting and learning to control its power. Teddiursa's the perfect partner for that."
Jessie crossed her arms, smirking. "Fine, but don't come crying to us when your 'training battle' turns into a playground scuffle."
Haru ignored the comment as he knelt down between the two Pokémon. "Alright, Gible, Teddiursa. Let's keep it light and fun, okay? No going overboard."
Teddiursa looked at Haru and tilted its head, seemingly unsure of what it was supposed to do. Gible, on the other hand, grinned mischievously, clearly ready to throw hands—or claws.
Haru stepped back and called out, "Gible, start with Mud Shot!"
Gible excitedly charged up the attack but overshot, sending the mud flying past Teddiursa and splattering all over James instead.
James groaned, wiping mud off his face. "Great. This is exactly how I wanted to spend my day."
Haru winced. "Uh, sorry about that. Gible, try again, but aim this time!"
Teddiursa, meanwhile, hesitated for a moment before finally responding with a playful Scratch. The move barely made contact with Gible, but it was enough to excite the little dragon, who countered with a more controlled Metal Claw.
The two Pokémon continued sparring under Haru's watchful eye. While the battle was far from polished, it was clear both were enjoying themselves.
Casey smiled. "Well, I gotta admit, they're kinda cute together. Who knew Gible had a playful side?"
Haru nodded, a small smile on his face. "This is what training's all about. Building bonds and learning together. They're already off to a great start."
The session ended with both Gible and Teddiursa panting but happy. Haru knelt down and patted both on the head. "Good work, you two. We'll keep this up and make both of you strong in no time."
Teddiursa gave Haru another hug, while Gible let out a triumphant cry, clearly feeling accomplished.
James, still covered in mud, muttered, "Yeah, great. Just let me know when you teach Gible to not treat me as a target."
Everyone laughed as the sun began to set, marking the end of a productive day.
The next morning, Haru was up bright and early, determined to continue Gible's training. The little dragon was already up, gnawing on a nearby rock like it was a snack.
Casey yawned as she stumbled out of her tent. "You're seriously starting this early? We were up late planning your next gym challenge."
Haru shrugged. "Gible's a Dragon-Type. The sooner we get it trained, the better. Besides, this one's got way too much energy to sit around all day."
James groaned from inside his tent. "Wake me up when Gible stops shooting random Mud Shots everywhere."
Ignoring him, Haru called out to Gible. "Alright, buddy! Today, we're going to focus on accuracy and speed. Let's see how you do with some target practice."
Haru had set up a few makeshift targets using rocks and branches. He pointed at the first target. "Gible, use Dragon Breath!"
Gible puffed up its chest and released a powerful burst of purple energy—but it completely missed the target, scorching the grass several feet away instead.
Jessie walked over, smirking. "Wow, such precision. Truly a prodigy in the making."
Haru shot her a look. "It's called training. Mistakes happen. Gible's just warming up."
Gible growled in determination and tried again, this time landing a hit on the edge of the target. Haru grinned. "That's more like it! Keep it up, Gible!"
As Gible continued practicing, Teddiursa waddled over, watching curiously. Haru noticed and had an idea. "Hey, Teddiursa, want to help Gible out?"
The little bear tilted its head, then nodded enthusiastically.
"Great! You can be the moving target. Just run around a bit while Gible tries to hit you with Dragon Breath—but don't worry, I'll make sure it won't hurt you."
Teddiursa blinked, clearly regretting its decision.
Jessie burst out laughing. "This is going to be hilarious."
Despite Teddiursa's initial hesitation, it soon got into the spirit of the training, dodging Gible's attacks with surprising agility. Gible, meanwhile, started improving its aim, gradually getting closer to hitting its target.
By midday, Gible was hitting its targets with reasonable accuracy. Haru called for a break, handing both Pokémon some berries as a reward.
Casey sat down next to him. "You know, Gible's improving faster than I expected. You might actually turn this little guy into a powerhouse."
Haru smiled, watching as Gible happily munched on its berries. "Yeah. This one's got potential. It's just a matter of nurturing it."
James finally emerged from his tent, looking slightly less grumpy. "Alright, I'm awake. What's the plan for the rest of the day?"
Haru stood up, stretching. "We're heading to the next route. There's supposed to be a trainer out there who specializes in Dragon-Types. It'll be a good test for Gible."
Jessie raised an eyebrow. "You're seriously throwing it into a battle already? Isn't that a bit much for a baby Pokémon?"
Haru shook his head. "Gible needs real battle experience to grow. And besides, I'll make sure it's not overwhelmed."
Later that day, the group arrived at a rocky area known for being a hotspot for Dragon-Type trainers. Sure enough, a young trainer approached them, his Dratini coiled by his side.
"You there!" the trainer called out. "Are you here to challenge me?"
Haru stepped forward. "That's right. Let's make it a one-on-one battle. My Gible versus your Dratini."
The trainer smirked. "Alright, but don't cry when your little Gible gets crushed!"
Haru chuckled. "We'll see about that."
The battle began, with Dratini starting off with Thunder Wave. Gible dodged the attack and countered with Mud Shot, landing a direct hit. The opposing trainer looked surprised.
"Not bad, but let's see how you handle this! Dratini, use Twister!"
The swirling wind struck Gible, but the little dragon held its ground. Haru called out, "Gible, finish it with Dragon Breath!"
With a powerful burst of energy, Gible knocked out Dratini, securing its first victory.
As the trainer recalled his Dratini, he nodded in respect. "Your Gible's stronger than it looks. You've got a bright future ahead."
Haru grinned. "Thanks. Gible's just getting started."
As the group moved on, Gible walked alongside Haru, looking proud of its accomplishment. Haru patted its head, smiling. "You did great today, buddy. Let's keep this up."
"You Gible is strong".
Haru turned his head to see Clair. "Hi Clair, how have you been".
Clair walked up to him, as she kissed on the cheeks. "The date was fun Haru, hope to do it again".
Haru blushes a bit, it was like a universal balance if he is the one making Whitney blush Clari is making him blush. "Um yeah thank you Clair".
Clair then looked at Haru Gible, as she picked it up. "Strong one she is and a shiny as well".
Haru then blinked as he spoke. "Wait Clair do-".
He was too late, Gible has just learn dragon breath, and what Casey learned the hard way holding to hard makes so um, a blast do dragon enegry came out Gible mouth blasting Clair face.
Clair blinked, her face coved by smoke and sut, as she laughed. "Oh Haru yout so lucky I like you".
Haru winced, trying to suppress a laugh as Clair gently set Gible down. The little dragon looked up at her with an innocent expression, completely oblivious to the chaos it had just caused.
Clair wiped some soot off her face, her blue eyes glinting with amusement. "You really know how to pick them, Haru. This Gible is as feisty as they come."
Casey, who had been watching from a distance, burst out laughing. "Looks like someone else learned what happens when you squeeze Gible too tight!"
Haru sighed, picking up Gible and patting its head. "Clair, maybe next time don't hold it like a plush toy. This little one's still learning control."
Clair chuckled, crossing her arms. "Noted. But you can't deny she's got spirit. A shiny Gible with that much energy—she's going to be a powerhouse someday."
James leaned over to Jessie. "She seems oddly okay with being blasted in the face by a Dragon-Type. That's... dedication."
Jessie smirked. "Or maybe she's just that into Haru."
Clair turned back to Haru, her smile softening. "Anyway, I just wanted to check in on you. I heard you've got a big journey ahead, and I thought I'd wish you luck. You'll need it if you're planning to take on my cousin Lance."
Haru nodded, his confidence returning. "Thanks, Clair. I'll need all the luck I can get. But for now, I've got to focus on getting stronger—me and my team."
Clair leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a playful tone. "Just don't forget about me, alright? I expect another date when you're free."
Haru's face turned red again, and Clair laughed, walking away with a wave. Gible, meanwhile, let out a happy chirp, as if proud of itself for making such an impression.
Casey nudged Haru. "Looks like you've got your hands full—not just with Gible, but with your fans, too."
Haru groaned, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just focus on training for now, okay?"
The group continued on their way, with Haru silently vowing to keep pushing forward—not just for his own growth, but for his team and the challenges ahead.
The next few days passed, as Gible and Teddursa they both learned new moves, but then it doesn't mean that Haru other Pokémon slacked up each of his Pokémon trainer and kept switching them out so they can get equal amount for training, even the Ursaring, even if the Mama Bear didn't like him that much at start his Aura helped he also trained his Aura
Now Haru was able to punch a hole to a tree when coved his fist in Aura (Image Haki from one piece), he can even sense people and let out his blood lust which thanks to his past life he had an ungodly amount which didn't make him feel right.
Clair came here and there helped with the training of his Gible and used her Dragon Pokémon show him how to train more dragon types.
In total the squad of four spent about 2 weeks in this city, Clair even told that she knew Haru was dating sense Whitney accidentally called on the Gym leader hot line and told her everything
Haru just looked at her. "Oh so um".
Clair then looked at him. "I am ok with your Harem dream, just not happy I have to share still I love so I have to make do with this Ethan".
Haru just blinked as he looked at her. "Oh um, that was way to easy, Also I gess you can keep calling me by my first name".
Clair then laughed. "Also when is aid Gym leader hot line I ment, we actually were in the main call so all the gym leader in Johto now knows about over conversation and will especially about your um... Dream".
Haru then pulled out his phone seeing text from Bugsy that he had been ignoring for day, which all had Haha on then, they all were still flip phone, then he leaned that Bugsy got a smartphone something new that came from the Shino region. "Will um this is embarrassing".
Clair smirked as she watched Haru stare at his phone, the texts from Bugsy clearly annoying him. "Embarrassing? You're the one who decided to go for the whole 'harem dream' in the first place. Did you think people wouldn't find out eventually?"
Haru groaned, putting his phone back in his pocket. "I wasn't expecting everyone to know, especially not all the gym leaders in Johto."
Clair shrugged, leaning casually against a tree. "Well, Whitney did call me in the middle of her excitement. Guess she didn't realize the hotline was a group chat." She grinned mischievously. "It's not all bad. Most of us are just curious about how you're managing this... arrangement."
Haru sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't even know myself. Between training my Pokémon, figuring out my past, and handling... this, it's exhausting."
Clair walked up to him and poked his chest lightly. "Well, you better figure it out. If you can handle Gible and your Aura training, you can handle a few girlfriends."
Haru's face turned red, and Clair laughed. "Relax, Ethan. You're doing fine. But if Bugsy texts you again, tell him I said he needs to stop being nosy."
Haru couldn't help but laugh. "Sure, I'll pass along the message." He paused for a moment, glancing at Clair. "Thanks for helping with Gible's training, by the way. She's coming along really well."
Clair smiled, her expression softening. "She's got a good trainer. You're doing a great job, Haru." She hesitated before adding, "And for what it's worth, I meant what I said. I don't like sharing, but... I care about you, so I'll make it work."
Haru looked at her, a rare moment of seriousness in his usually lighthearted demeanor. "Thanks, Clair. That means a lot."
The moment was interrupted by a loud growl as Gible and Teddiursa ran up, clearly ready for another round of training. Haru chuckled. "Looks like our break is over."
Clair smirked. "Back to work, then. Let's see if you can keep up with me this time."
Haru grinned, his competitive side kicking in. "Oh, it's on."
With that, the group dove back into training, the peaceful days filled with hard work, laughter, and the occasional chaos that came with Haru's ever-growing team.
