"How incredible! Is this Milotic really only level 42?"

Watching Milotic effortlessly fend off the combined attacks of five Pokémon, Sato's eyes showed clear astonishment.

He had just checked Milotic's status earlier during its recovery and confirmed it was indeed only level 42.

Now, not only had Milotic easily blocked the coordinated assault of five Pokémon, each averaging over level 35, but it was also healing its own injuries as though it still had strength to spare.

This left Sato thoroughly impressed.

Such power was far beyond what a level 42 Pokémon should be capable of—this was the strength of a Pokémon at least in the sixties, effortlessly crushing those in their thirties.

"Wait, could it be the Blue Water Stones nearby? They shattered when Milotic unleashed its power. Could there be a connection? Did they enhance Milotic's abilities?"

Sato quickly noticed the environmental changes. All the Blue Water Stones around had shattered, and the surrounding Water-type energy had become exceptionally dense.

In fact, if Sato himself were a Water-type Pokémon, he would have felt it—the way Milotic now absorbed Water-type energy was like a black hole, rapidly drawing it into its body.

As the energy absorption intensified, a radiant blue glow enveloped Milotic. Waves of powerful Water-type energy emanated from it, and behind Milotic, a faint blue silhouette began to form.

The blue silhouette was hazy but resembled the outline of a fish. Once it appeared, an overwhelming and terrifying aura emanated from it.

On the battlefield, every Pokémon that sensed this pressure instinctively displayed awe, particularly the opposing Water-type Pokémon. They all lowered their heads in fear, their fighting spirits plummeting to near zero.

"Stop this theatrics! Crawdaunt, use Taunt on Milotic!"

The man in the black wetsuit with a buzz cut felt his heart sink but refused to back down. He shouted the command, his eyes red with desperation.

The next moment, a series of deafening crashes resounded.

Before Crawdaunt could even move, a massive torrent of water shot from Milotic's mouth. The high-pressure jet struck Crawdaunt with devastating force, slamming it into and breaking through more than ten rocky pillars.

This wasn't ordinary water—it was pure, concentrated Water-type energy. Milotic's Hydro Pump wasn't just a move but a destructive energy cannon.

When the water jet finally dissipated, Crawdaunt lay motionless on the ground. A single Hydro Pump had utterly incapacitated it, despite it being a fellow Water-type Pokémon.

And Crawdaunt wasn't the last. Milotic, now in a special empowered state, was unstoppable.

Without even pausing, it unleashed four more high-pressure water jets in quick succession, targeting the remaining four opposing Pokémon.

The two other men in wetsuits tried to resist, but their Pokémon were paralyzed under the oppressive aura of the blue silhouette behind Milotic.

They stood frozen, becoming easy targets for Milotic's devastating attacks.

Just like Crawdaunt, the four Pokémon fell with a single hit each. Within mere seconds, Milotic had completely reversed the tide of battle, single-handedly saving the situation from the brink of defeat.

"That fish-shaped silhouette… Could it be Kyogre? If so, how did Milotic summon Kyogre's image? This world isn't as simple as the background knowledge I gathered from 'games' and 'anime.' It's a mystical world with many unknowns."

Sato stared intently at Milotic. Even though the system data he relied on hadn't changed, he knew the system's detection capabilities weren't advanced enough to analyze Milotic's current state.

His instincts told him that Milotic's current condition represented the highest echelon of power in this world.

When Sato turned to look at Elsa beside him, he saw her eyes wide and mouth slightly agape. She, too, was clearly stunned by the power Milotic had just displayed.

After defeating the three men's five Pokémon, the blue glow around Milotic began to fade, and the blue silhouette behind it vanished in an instant.

Milotic then began writhing on the ground in apparent agony. Its face twisted in pain as it endured intense suffering.

It was clear that the immense power it had just exhibited was some form of forbidden strength, which had taken a heavy toll on its body.

Within seconds, Milotic succumbed to the aftereffects, collapsing limply on the ground. Its once-lustrous cream-colored scales had lost their shine.

"Milotic!"

Seeing Milotic in such anguish, Elsa ran over and held its now-weakened body, her face filled with worry. Milotic, however, was too weak to even make a sound, merely gazing at her silently.

Sato, witnessing this, released his Marshtomp and Growlithe to keep watch over the subdued men. He then rushed to Milotic's side, pulling out every healing item he had.

Despite using all his healing sprays and even a Full Restore—a precious item he valued immensely—Milotic's life force continued to fade rapidly.

"Damn it, how can this be? Even a Full Restore isn't working. What kind of injury is this?"

Sato placed a hand on Milotic's body, feeling it grow colder by the second. His frustration mounted as he realized he was powerless to stop the inevitable.

Milotic's breathing slowed, and its trembling subsided. Just before the light in its eyes faded completely, it opened its mouth, and something delicate fell silently to the ground.

It was the gem-studded starfish-shaped hair clip that Elsa had lost during the battle. However, unlike an ordinary clip, the gemstone at its center was blue and now bore visible cracks.

As the hair clip hit the ground, the light in Milotic's eyes vanished entirely, and its heart ceased to beat.

"No!!!"

Elsa stared blankly at Milotic for a few seconds before tears began streaming down her face like a fountain. Holding Milotic's lifeless body, she wept uncontrollably.

Watching this tragic scene unfold, Sato felt a lump in his throat and an overwhelming sadness creeping into his chest.

Unsure how to console the grief-stricken Elsa, Sato remained silent, staying by her side. His gaze fell on the starfish-shaped hair clip that had fallen from Milotic's mouth. Believing it to be something Elsa had lost, he bent down to pick it up.

The moment he touched the clip, Sato's eyes widened in shock, and his face showed utter disbelief.
