Unlike ordinary white Silcoon, the shiny Silcoon had a creamy-yellow hue, with striking sky-blue eyes peeking out from the cocoon.

Looking at this unique Pokémon before him, Sato was immensely pleased. He retrieved the Friend Ball and returned the shiny Silcoon.

Based on its evolutionary cycle, it would complete its transformation and evolve into Beautifly within a week.

However, the shiny Silcoon's level clearly surpassed that of a typical Silcoon that had grown under normal conditions; it had accumulated energy far beyond the average threshold.

According to Sato's prediction, the shiny Silcoon might complete its metamorphosis within two or three days. It wouldn't be long before he had a powerful shiny Beautifly in his team.

Training continued as Sato checked on the progress of his Pokémon one by one. After ensuring all were on the right track, he sat down to focus on making PokeBlocks.

Earlier that morning, he had received several large orders and needed to complete them promptly.

Time flew, and by 7:20 PM, Sato emerged from the restaurant with his well-fed and refreshed Pokémon. They headed to a large Pokémon battle center near the Battle Tower.

After all, real battles were the best way to test the results of training.

While the Battle Tower was an irreplaceable institution in LaRousse City, the sheer number of trainers gathered there made it impossible for one tower to accommodate everyone.

Seizing this opportunity, savvy entrepreneurs had set up battle centers near the Battle Tower to provide trainers with facilities for Pokémon battles.

These unofficial training grounds served as a kind of proving ground for those preparing for the Battle Tower.

The climb up the Battle Tower was fraught with challenges. To progress swiftly, one had to put in far more effort than others.

Matches in the Battle Tower often involved long waiting times, and a loss would push a trainer back down a rank.

As a result, many trainers preferred to pause their climb when they hit a bottleneck, turning to these unofficial training grounds to hone their skills.

Sato was currently at one such facility, training his Nidoran, Marshtomp, Growlithe, and shiny Wingull. His goal was to maintain a balance in their levels, ensuring no single Pokémon overshadowed the rest.

"Good! Keep using Water Gun! Don't give your opponent a chance to retaliate," Sato instructed calmly, directing his shiny Wingull, who was darting through the air in a heated battle.

On the battle platform, Sato's shiny Wingull, now at level 20, was engaged in a fierce aerial combat with a level 23 Swellow.

However, thanks to its superior speed and the precision of its Water Gun, the shiny Wingull maintained an overwhelming advantage.

The Swellow's trainer desperately attempted to close the gap by using Quick Attack to trigger short bursts of speed, forcing a close-range fight. But under Sato's command, the shiny Wingull refused to engage directly.

Instead, it countered with its own Quick Attack or used Aqua Jet to create distance, ensuring a constant gap between them.

In this cat-and-mouse chase, the shiny Wingull also took advantage of its agility to land well-timed Water Gun attacks during its maneuvers, leaving the Swellow trailing in frustration.

The Swellow's only long-range move, Air Slash, failed to hit its nimble opponent.

As the intense aerial chase wore on, both flying Pokémon began to tire. Initially, the Swellow could expend extra stamina to close the gap using Quick Attack. However, the shiny Wingull's use of Aqua Ring to continuously recover stamina allowed it to stay strong.

Over time, the Swellow began to falter, falling behind the shiny Wingull's pace and succumbing to its relentless attacks.

Another perfectly timed Water Gun struck Swellow, drenching it further. Already slowed by repeated hits, its wet feathers caused its speed to drop even more.

"Darn it! Let's go for broke! Swellow, use Quick Attack combined with Brave Bird!" the opposing trainer shouted desperately.

The Swellow responded with determination. Although the combination move often failed during practice, it executed flawlessly in this critical moment.

The Swellow was enveloped in the white glow of Quick Attack, followed by a blue aura from Brave Bird. It transformed into a streaking blue bird of light, hurtling toward the shiny Wingull.

The Swellow's fierce momentum sent a chill down Wingull's spine. A deep sense of danger gripped it—if it couldn't evade, the battle could be lost.

However, Sato didn't issue any commands, silently observing his Pokémon.

Fortunately, the shiny Wingull recalled Sato's earlier advice, recalling previous evasion maneuvers in its mind. Clarity dawned in its eyes.

In a flash, the Wingull activated Quick Attack, followed by Aqua Jet, surrounding itself in a torrent of water.

The combination of moves gave it a sudden burst of speed, halting the Swellow's advance. Furthermore, the jetting water soaked the Swellow's feathers once more, further reducing its speed.

"Well done! Follow up with a series of Water Guns!" Sato praised, excitement evident in his voice.

The Swellow, having poured all its energy into the desperate combination, had no strength left to resist. After enduring three successive Water Gun hits, it plummeted to the ground, unable to continue.

"Next! Who's willing to challenge me? Remember, you can only use Flying-type Pokémon," Sato declared, placing a high-quality PokeBlock in the shiny Wingull's beak and stroking its head in praise.

As his gaze swept over the gathered trainers, a female trainer stepped forward to take the previous Swellow trainer's place.

She tossed out a PokéBall, releasing a Ninjask to face Sato's challenge.
