"Why... Midoriya-kun..."

All Might was saddened by Izuku's words but still wanted to know why the boy would choose this, especially when he had wanted to be a hero more than anyone else.

"I can't ignore Mom's feelings... and..."

Midoriya Izuku didn't finish his sentence, but All Might understood what he was trying to say. After all, to avoid negative consequences, even Midoriya Inko didn't know the full truth...

After Bakugo's shout, the entire class surrounded him, anxiously asking what was going on. Everyone was clearly worried about Midoriya Izuku.

"Bakugo's right, Midoriya is no longer a student of the Hero Course."

"Aizawa-sensei!?"

Just as Bakugo was about to snap at the others, Aizawa Shouta arrived, stepping in to calm the situation and explain what had happened to Midoriya.

"Because Midoriya Izuku was kidnapped by the 'League of Villains,' his mother strongly wanted him to drop out. However, after All Might visited their home and talked things through, both sides agreed to a compromise."

"Midoriya Izuku is still a student at U.A. High School, but he will no longer be in the Hero Course. He will be studying in the support Studies course."

Aizawa's words caused the entire class to fall silent, but they understood the situation... after all, they had all seen Midoriya's terrible condition in the hospital.

"Everyone, let's stay positive. Midoriya may not be in the Hero Course anymore, but he's still here at school, still our classmate, right?"

"Yeah, let's all go visit Midoriya later!"

"Yeah, I made some delicious Victory Cakes. We can take them as gifts."

"Victory Cakes!? Wait, I want some!!"

Under Iida Tenya's leadership, the class quickly became lively again. It wasn't the worst outcome... in fact, it wasn't so bad after all.

Aizawa Shouta, rubbing his forehead, thought to himself. While it had been Midoriya Izuku's own decision to leave the Hero Course, his mother, Midoriya Inko, had been the first to make a stand. She didn't want her son to be looked down on by his classmates, so she used the last bit of influence as an overprotective mother to intervene.

"That idiot…" 

Clenching his fists, Katsuki Bakugo had just heard from his mom, Mitsuki Bakugo, that Izuku Midoriya planned to leave the Hero Course. The news had him fuming. 

He'd worked so hard, finally surpassing him, only for that idiot to give up on becoming a hero now… What the hell was he thinking?! 

Elsewhere, in the dormitory for Support Course students, Hatsume Mei and Togata Mirio were helping Midoriya Izuku set up his room. 

"Um… I can handle this myself," Midoriya said hesitantly. 

"Sit tight and stay put. You're injured, so take it easy," Mirio said as he gently pushed Midoriya back into his chair. Knowing it was moving day for the dorms, Mirio had come to help out. He couldn't ignore his junior's injuries as a senior. 

"Ta-da~ Midoriya-chan! Look what I've brought!" 

Hatsume, who had disappeared mid-room setup, returned suddenly, fully geared up. 

"…A mechanical suit?" 

Midoriya was stunned. The gear he'd wrecked during his fight with Muscular was now fully restored and being worn by Hatsume. 

"I haven't been slacking, you know. I fixed it for you," Hatsume declared with a grin. 

"Thank you… Thank you so much…" 

Midoriya lowered his head, tears sliding down his cheeks. Having reliable friends and classmates like them reminded him why he needed to come back, even if he no longer aimed to be a hero.
