Quiz Game system: starting from Marvel Universe

Chapter 642: Is This What They Call Being Tsundere?

Adrian Toomes had already signed the contract, so shouldn't the Disaster Department provide some form of compensation if they wanted to take over the project? Both emotionally and logically, this would make sense.

However, the way things were handled was extremely crude, full of the arrogance and disregard that upper-class individuals often show toward the common people. In hindsight, if Adrian Toomes had been given fair compensation, perhaps the Vulture would never have existed.

Viewers, many of whom had faced harsh realities in life, couldn't help but empathize with Adrian's plight after watching the video. A sense of sympathy arose in them.

They began to wonder—have some superheroes flown too high? Their eyes are always fixed on Thanos, aliens, or dark wizards, while ignoring the ordinary masses, the everyday people below.

As the video in the light screen ended, a new question popped up:

[ Is all of Spider-Man/Peter Parker's equipment created by Tony Stark?

Hint: This is a buzzer question.]

[A: Yes

B: No]

Erik raised an eyebrow and asked, "In the previous video, didn't Happy provide Spider-Man with a set of equipment when taking him to the fight? That was likely built by Tony Stark, wasn't it?"

Charles nodded. "Tony Stark is an excellent scientist who's created many high-tech products. His title of Iron Man comes from the advanced armor he designed and built himself. It's reasonable that he'd create a suit for Spider-Man."

When Charles had visited the Multiverse Defenders Base as a guest, he had learned bits and pieces about Iron Man, Captain America, and the others from Dr. Banner. He was aware of their unique characteristics.

Logan scoffed, "Then this question's easy. Just pick A, right?"

"No."

Erik narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "We just answered the last buzzer question wrong and lost a point. If we get it wrong again, we might face a penalty. Logan, I assume you don't want to experience being electrocuted again, right?

We need to be more cautious!

You've participated in a question before, so you should know that a lot of these questions are designed to mislead you. Take this one—it seems obvious that the answer is A, but I have a feeling we'll regret it if we choose that."

Charles thought for a moment and agreed with Erik's reasoning, furrowing his brows. "The question says all of Spider-Man's equipment. From the battle footage we've seen, his main pieces of equipment are three: the suit, the web-shooters, and the webbing itself.

I watched the previous round of this quiz game. While the Spider-Man from that round and this one are from different parallel universes, they probably share some similarities.

That Spider-Man made his own suit, web-shooters, and webbing. Maybe this Spider-Man can do the same?"

Logan rolled his eyes, feeling that these two were overthinking things. He waved a hand dismissively and said, "Do whatever you want. But if you're not sure, I suggest not buzzing in at all."

Meanwhile, Team B's Doctor Strange and pietro also hesitated.

Though the question seemed simple on the surface, Erik had only participated in one quiz game before and could already sense how misleading the questions were. Doctor Strange and pietro, having seen more quiz rounds, were naturally even more aware of this. Plus, they only had one point. If they answered wrong, they'd face the penalty of electroshock therapy.

While the two struggled to decide, young Peter spoke up confidently, "Tony Stark is amazing, okay? He's my idol! I love the Mark suits! But I believe in myself—I'll definitely design and build beautiful and powerful suit and equipment in the future! I think the answer is B."

Doctor Strange was amused by his enthusiasm and teased him with a grin, "Alright, big dreams for a little guy. We'll listen to you and pick B for this one."

As soon as he finished speaking, the timer for the question began. Neither team was particularly eager to buzz in, but since it was a buzzer question, the system randomly selected a "lucky" participant. Team A got the chance to answer.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Erik chose B. Team B also picked the same answer. When the timer ran out, the correct answer was revealed: both teams were right. Team A gained 4 points for successfully buzzing in, taking the lead for now.

Once the question was over, the light screen began playing another video. It continued from where the previous footage left off—after the Civil War ended, Peter was being sent home by Tony and Happy.

Having participated in such a big operation, Peter was visibly excited. When he learned that Tony intended to gift him that sleek new suit, his excitement skyrocketed.

Tony clearly admired the young peter, though he acted a bit tsundere about it. With a "busy genius" attitude, he made Happy the kid's contact person and reminded the overly thrilled Peter to stay low-key and avoid big trouble. "With your small frame, you're only suited for handling minor issues for now," Tony remarked bluntly.

As they were about to part ways, Tony turned around and extended his hand. Peter immediately stepped forward, assuming it was for a hug.

But Tony, ever the tsundere, said, "I wasn't going in for a hug. I was just opening the car door for you. We're not that close, got it?"

Seeing the slightly awkward Peter on screen, the audience couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Stephen Strange smirked, "That guy really is as mouthy as ever. 'Not that close,' huh? At this point, everyone knows he sees you as his own kid."

Young Peter scratched his head, looking shy and bashful. "Everyone keeps saying that. I do really like Mr. Stark, but I have to clarify—he's not my dad... though, if he wanted to be my godfather, I'd probably be pretty happy."

Stephen raised an eyebrow and teased, "You should try it when you get back. My guess is, the first time you ask, he'll definitely say no. Then a few days later, he'll invite you to dinner. He'll say he's not interested in taking care of you, but then he'll reluctantly agree to be your godfather just to keep you from going astray."

Young Peter blinked in surprise. "Wow, Mr. Stephen, that really sounds like something he'd do. Do you dislike Mr. Stark? But you seem to know him really well."

Stephen shrugged and joked, "Haven't you heard the saying? 'Your enemy knows you best.' That's right—I don't like Tony, the arrogant loudmouth, but I do know him quite well."

At this point, Pietro chimed in with a grin, "Hey, kid, there's another reason. Your Mr. Stephen is actually a lot like Tony Stark—he's an arrogant loudmouth too. And sometimes, the stuff he says can be just as annoying. Don't glare at me, Stephen, you know everyone says that!"
