Rebirth as a Time Dragon: A DND Chronicle

Chapter 467: Chapter 467: The Fall of the Eternal and Time Dragon

"With the Beast Lord present, there are now six powerful beings in the Radiant Forest. It's becoming increasingly dangerous here, but that's exactly what I need."

Garon gazed into the depths of the Radiant Forest.

Terrifying divine power radiated in waves, crushing everything around. The space had become a void, with everything except the powerful beings vanishing.

Moreover, each clash between the dragon gods and giant gods caused the forest to tremble visibly. Even Garon, far from the central battlefield, could feel it clearly. Occasionally, divine power waves swept over them, forcing these mid-level gods to dodge frantically, fearing they might get caught in the crossfire.

This was despite the Beast Lord intercepting most of the residual energy.

Observing the battlefield of the powerful beings, one could see the Beast Lord busily moving, constantly changing forms among various beasts, repeatedly smoothing out the destructive forces spreading from the battle between the five powerful beings.

Even for a being of near-great divine power like the Beast Lord, this was not easy.

If there were only two powerful beings fighting, the Beast Lord might have intervened to prevent the Radiant Forest from being destroyed. However, with five powerful beings present, an overwhelming number, all fighting with full force and no mercy, the Beast Lord couldn't guarantee its own safety if it stepped in.

Sweeping thunderstorms in the sky.

A dark, ferocious steel dragon body.

Brilliant golden and multicolored ferocious dragon gods.

And relentless, space-tearing arrows.

Garon withdrew his gaze, splitting some of his attention to guard against the residual energy from the powerful beings while continuing to deal with the Cloud Giant God.

The situation had changed due to the chaotic battle among the powerful beings.

Both needed to be fully alert to avoid getting injured by the powerful beings' residual energy, adding unpredictable variables to the previously stalemated situation between Garon and the Cloud Giant God.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Leaves and flower petals, like meteors, crossed through space, flying towards the area where Garon and the Cloud Giant God were.

Mountains, rivers, giant peaks, and starry skies—illusions created by the Cloud Giant God to confuse Garon's perception—were easily torn apart by these leaves and petals, scattered like punctured bubbles.

The Cloud Giant God's heart tightened.

At the same time, a mighty dragon roar, like thunder in dark clouds, suddenly erupted.

Garon roared, his divine power boiling within, divine light flashing brilliantly, like a rising silver full moon.

Authority of Fate: Entangled Doom!

Invisible, full of disaster, misfortune, and death, the authority power descended, clinging to the Cloud Giant God like maggots on bones, unstoppable by any means.

The Cloud Giant God glanced angrily at the direction of the five-way battle but dared not speak.

The leaves and petals were from Siati's natural authority, dispersed by the Iron Dragon King and reaching Garon and the Cloud Giant God, tearing through the Cloud Giant God's illusions and exposing him to Garon's perception.

Entangled in doom, the Cloud Giant God was noticeably affected.

First, his divine power surged uncontrollably, not obeying his will. If he were a lower-level god, his divine body might have already cracked.

Next, everything went wrong for the Cloud Giant God.

He tried to recreate illusions, but small things like sudden breezes or flying rock fragments hit the weak points, causing a series of unfavorable changes, making it extremely difficult to set up illusions.

Under the shroud of doom, ordinary beings could choke on a sip of water.

Seizing the opportunity of the weakened illusions, Garon's body soared through the sky, charging towards the Cloud Giant God with overwhelming force.

"Thanks to your pantheon's Natural and Hunting God for the assist!"

As he approached, Garon taunted.

At this moment, the Storm Lord, wielding a giant hammer, struck one of the Immortal Dragon Queen's red dragon heads.

The red dragon head, spewing a torrent of fiery breath at the Storm Lord, was knocked aside. The redirected dragon breath swept towards Garon, who, despite the Beast Lord weakening its power, still found it lethal.

Perhaps calculating the strike's strength and direction, the Storm Lord ensured Garon was caught in the dragon breath's residual wave.

Forced to retreat, Garon missed a prime opportunity to heavily injure the Cloud Giant God.

Entangled in doom, the Cloud Giant God couldn't avoid the dragon breath either.

Despite trying to dodge, one of his arms was caught in the fiery breath, igniting and burning his divine body.

Sweating heavily, the Cloud Giant God's face twisted in unimaginable pain.

His arm was charred at a visible rate, his divine power unable to extinguish the flames, which absorbed his divine power and spread towards his torso.

Crack!

The Cloud Giant God tore off his arm to escape the flames.

Simultaneously, he dispelled Garon's Entangled Doom.

On the other side, Garon's scales were burnt red, like a hot iron, with flames trying to invade his body. He tore off the affected scales, leaving himself bloodied.

"Whew, that was terrifying."

Garon exhaled.

Mid-level divine power is just a step away from great divine power, but the gap between them is a vast chasm, difficult to cross. The higher the level, the greater the gap.

Outstanding legendary beings might contend with minor demigods.

However, the most powerful mid-level divine power finds it nearly impossible to contend with even the weakest great divine power.

Due to the fierce battle among the five powerful beings, residual waves filled the sky, and the Beast Lord struggled to intercept them. Mid-level gods like Garon and the Cloud Giant God couldn't avoid being affected, needing to guard against the residual waves while fighting each other.

At this moment, the Radiant Forest had become one of the most dangerous zones in the multiverse.

Residual waves could heavily injure or kill weak divine powers.

Only mid-level divine powers could barely resist.

Numerous demigod animal lords fled in panic, trying to escape the divine disaster. However, due to the powerful beings' influence, the Radiant Forest became an unstable, violently shaking ship on a stormy sea, making escape difficult.

Only the dragon and giant gods continued their fierce battle, the scene becoming increasingly perilous.

Meanwhile, on the shoulder of the Hill Giant God, in a fertile prairie, a white wolf shifted its gaze.

Dark, bloodthirsty, fierce—the green eyes locked onto the silver dragon fighting the Cloud Giant God.

"Gloranto, I can't help you against the Dragon God of Death and Judgment."

"His Eye of Judgment can see through my shadow clones, countering my abilities."

"Be careful, I'm heading to another battlefield to feast on dragon blood!"

The Hill Giant God immediately understood the Wolf Lord's intention, a deep voice resonating in the Wolf Lord's mind, "You want to help the Cloud Giant God? No, stay with me. My task is to keep you alive."

The Wolf Lord raised its neck, gazing at the majestic silver dragon, eyes filled with ferocity.

"We are partners, not subordinates."

"I don't take orders from you."

The Hill Giant God, displeased, said, "Don't say I didn't warn you. The situation is dangerous; if you insist on risking it, you might die."

Naturally ferocious, the Wolf Lord was unwilling to stay under the Hill Giant God's protection. After notifying him, it ignored the advice and quietly left the Hill Giant God's body, heading towards Garon's location.

The Dragon God of Death and Judgment noticed the departing Wolf Lord.

He wanted to pursue but was intercepted by the Hill Giant God's giant fist, leaving him unable to spare any attention.

Entangled with the Hill Giant God, the silent Dragon God of Death and Judgment raised his neck and roared.

Elsewhere.

Garon tore through countless mental chains, chasing the evasive Cloud Giant God.

Due to the Cloud Giant God's deliberate avoidance, both were mostly unharmed, the most severe injuries coming from the powerful beings' residual waves.

The Dragon God of Death and Judgment's roar caught Garon's attention.

This dragon god rarely made a sound, his silence notable. Sensing something unusual, Garon split his focus towards the Dragon God of Death and Judgment, discovering the Wolf Lord silently approaching his area.

Realizing he was spotted, the Wolf Lord no longer hid.

Leaping through the air, the Wolf Lord split into countless white wolf shadows, each identical, even their fur moving in the same wind.

The Wolf Lord hid among the white wolf pack, hard to distinguish.

Millions of white wolves filled the space, surrounding Garon and the Cloud Giant God.

Seeing this, the Cloud Giant God's eyes gleamed.

Reluctant to risk his own life, the giant god naturally handed the battlefield control to the Wolf Lord, using his mental and illusion abilities to assist, confusing Garon's perception and making the white wolf pack more elusive.

The white wolf pack surged towards Garon.

In an instant, Garon's dragon body was covered with seemingly endless white wolves.

These white wolves clawed and bit at Garon's Chrono Barrier, leaving minor marks. One or two were negligible, but accumulated, they became a significant problem.

The Chrono Barrier was attacked from all sides, rapidly consuming Garon's divine power.

"These millions of white wolves all have real destructive power..."

In the material world, white wolf shadows were mere illusions. However, in the Beastland, the Wolf Lord's full-powered white wolf pack were real energy beings, causing real damage. With the Cloud Giant God's assistance, their power increased.

Of course, for Garon, the white wolf pack was a minor issue.

Their main value was confusing his perception, allowing the Wolf Lord to hide and strike.

The Wolf Lord's snowy fur flutter

ed, face proud and defiant, moving like a white lightning bolt among Garon's massive body, never staying in one place, flashing among the white wolves, each appearance leaving deep marks on the Chrono Barrier.

"Outnumbering me? Do you think I am easy to bully?"

Garon spread his dragon wings wide.

Authority of Time: Relentless Time.

Divine power erupted, the river of time raging around. The millions of white wolves around Garon halted, seemingly experiencing long ages in an instant, dissolving like bubbles.

All the white wolf shadows vanished, leaving only the Wolf Lord.

Garon locked onto the Wolf Lord, eyes narrowing.

Authority of Time: Temporal Mirror!

Instantly, beneath the Wolf Lord, one of Garon's dragon scales turned mirror-like. Surprised, the Wolf Lord looked down, seeing a white wolf in the reflection, staring back.

Whoosh!

The reflected white wolf lunged, bringing a fierce wind, passing through the mirror-like scale into reality.

Though quickly dodged, the Wolf Lord was still bitten on the shoulder by the mirror image.

Howling in pain, the Wolf Lord's body shook, countless white wolf shadows emerging, but mirrored shadows appeared from the Temporal Mirror, biting each shadow.

Furious, the Wolf Lord, triggered by rage, bit at the identical 'Wolf Lord,' claws and teeth embedded in each other, occasionally enlarging or using the same beast power in fierce combat.

Thus, countless white wolves entangled in close combat, fur flying, blood spraying.

The time abomination's essence was a mirror-like entity.

Temporal Mirror was a unique skill of the time abomination.

Transformed into Garon, the Temporal Mirror evolved into an authority, becoming Garon's most powerful ability, bar none.

Among all time abilities Garon wielded, only the Temporal Mirror was stronger than Garon himself, as it required influencing the river of time and the time abomination's essence to reflect the enemy for maximum effect.

"Ah, which is real, which is fake!"

Seeing the countless fighting white wolves, the Cloud Giant God was troubled.

All the wolves had the same aura. With their numbers, it was impossible to distinguish the real Wolf Lord after the fight began, as they were all the Wolf Lord, except half came from the past under Garon's control.

The Hill Giant God glanced at Garon's situation, sighed deeply, and shook his head.

As a god, his intuition told him the Wolf Lord was in danger.

"I only have a quarter of my divine power left..."

The situation was favorable, but Garon remained unsmiling.

Temporal Mirror's summoning consumed a vast amount of divine power, with each moment of maintenance also draining divine power. Its power was immense but also a bottomless pit.

To deal with the Wolf Lord, Garon consumed much of his divine power.

He was an avatar, not finding it easy to fight many.

"The Cloud Giant God's divine power isn't much consumed, and his divine rank is higher, with more divine power, consuming at most three-quarters..."

"Should I abandon the Cloud Giant God and focus on killing the Wolf Lord?"

Garon faced a dilemma.

In this situation, killing the Cloud Giant God was extremely difficult.

This guy was too passive, focusing on self-preservation without attempting to kill Garon, having different goals.

If he killed the Wolf Lord at all costs, Garon would also be killed by the Cloud Giant God due to exhaustion.

"Let things flow naturally, seek opportunities."

Garon's eyes flickered, not demanding too much of himself, fighting the Cloud Giant God while biding his time.

Thus, time passed.

The battle among the five powerful beings grew more intense, each fighting fiercely, divine power raging, becoming destructive forces.

The Iron Dragon King spread his steel wings, roaring mightily.

Steel Abyss!

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Within the battlefield of the five powerful beings, countless dark, misty steel particles appeared.

"Huh? The target isn't me?"

Siati, on guard, was slightly surprised.

The dark particles surrounded the Storm Lord and the Iron Dragon King, then collapsed, drawing them into a temporary dimension.

Within the dimension, countless dark steel particles closed in, intertwining, forming a wide yet confined octagonal cage with iron walls, trapping the Storm Lord and the Iron Dragon King.

This was the Iron Dragon King's ultimate move.

Like a degraded, deployable divine domain, it could boost its power and weaken the enemy, capable of drawing in one enemy at a time, be they gods or ordinary beings.

Once used, even the Iron Dragon King found it hard to leave the Steel Abyss.

When provoking the Metal Dragon God, the Iron Dragon King used the Steel Abyss to trap the Metal Dragon God and himself, escaping only after being half-dead.

Now, at the Immortal Dragon Queen's behest, the Iron Dragon King trapped the Storm Lord.

Siati, watching the Storm Lord leave, met the gazes of the two dragon gods, feeling a chill.

"Damn, trapping the Storm Lord was to focus on me. Their target is me!"

"Aren't they afraid the Storm Lord will kill their kin?"

Instantly, the Metal Dragon God and the Immortal Dragon Queen focused their attacks on Siati.

Boom!

A golden claw, covering the sky, struck towards Siati's slender waist. She bent her body, swinging a rope that formed a lush forest, a green dragon meeting the claw, but it was quickly torn apart.

The Immortal Dragon Queen's five heads moved.

Flames, lightning, poisonous mist, acid, and snowstorm dragon breaths surged. Siati raised a round shield, struggling to defend, retreating step by step.

The Metal Dragon God also unleashed a dragon breath.

Crack!

The shield shattered.

Siati was engulfed by the two dragon breaths.

She raised a divine shield, but it shattered instantly, her divine body swallowed by the dragon breaths.

Within the breath, a vibrant flower bloomed, barely opening a gap. The Natural and Hunting God escaped.

She was now covered in wounds, a pitiful sight.

Facing the two dragon gods, Siati was far from the Storm Lord's match.

Immediately overwhelmed, she fell into an irreversible disadvantage.

Even one-on-one, Siati wasn't a match for the Metal Dragon God or the Immortal Dragon Queen, let alone both.

As time passed, the Radiant Forest's situation worsened. Siati was in dire straits, repeatedly injured, her divine power rapidly waning.

Meanwhile.

Within the Steel Abyss, the Iron Dragon King endured the Storm Lord's onslaught.

Boom!

In his eight-armed giant god form, the Storm Lord's attacks were like a storm, relentlessly striking the Iron Dragon King, breaking his steel scales, causing deep dents, dragon blood flowing.

However, the Iron Dragon King's greatest trait was resilience.

He curled up, wrapping his body tightly, dragon wings folded, becoming an 'iron ball,' fully defensive, enduring the Storm Lord's onslaught without counterattacking.

If the situation continued, the Iron Dragon King might survive, but Siati would certainly fall first.

Despite being trapped, the Storm Lord sensed the outside situation, growing more anxious.

"This iron dragon is too tough, his defense is astonishing, but Siati isn't good at defense."

"Terrible, I can't let this continue, or Siati will die."

Realizing this, the Storm Lord knew he had to escape the Steel Abyss.

He suddenly stopped attacking the Iron Dragon King, surveying the dimension.

He took a deep breath, focusing intensely.

Under the Storm Lord's will, his authorities over sky, sea, sun, weather, knowledge, and magic were mobilized.

Whoosh. The sound of waves rose, a sea forming below, a sky appearing above, stormy with rain and a rising golden sun. Under the sunlight, the strange weather intensified, thunder rolling.

The Storm Lord abandoned his divine weapons, gathering his eight arms, forming a sphere.

A chaotic magical energy ball appeared in his palm, extending countless light strands, merging scenes together.

Authority of Creation: World!

The newly formed sky, sea, weather, sun, and other scenes poured into the energy ball, which became colorful, like a newborn world full of vitality.

The Storm Lord hesitated, then resolutely pressed his eight palms on the world ball, infusing it with his authority.

His divine power rapidly depleted, the world ball inside undergoing rapid evolution—day and night alternated, continents shifted, life flourished briefly before the sun dimmed, sky fell, sea overturned, and the world ball cracked, its life force turning into destructive power.

The Iron Dragon King peeked out, looking at the Storm Lord.

Seeing the cracked world ball, the Iron Dragon King's scales bristled, feeling deep fear.

The Storm Lord glanced at the Iron Dragon King, eyes cold and merciless.

He raised the cracked world ball, his arms creaking under the unimaginable pressure.

With a fierce look, he scanned the dragon gods, briefly contemplating, then aimed at Garon's area, hurling the world ball.

After unleashing an uncontrollable attack, the Storm Lord knew he would be deemed a villain, unwelcome in any realm except the Abyss.

He couldn't kill the semi-great dragon gods but could trap Garon in a dire situation.

Due to its uncontrollability, the nearby Cloud Giant God would also be endangered.

"Garon Aurelius, let's see if you can still use Time Reversal."

"If not, die here!"

"As for the Cloud Giant God... Hmph, too many schemes. Your fate is your own doing."

Under the Iron Dragon King's watch, time seemed to stop.

The world ball touched the steel wall, paused, then shattered.

Silently, the white light of world destruction spread, dissolving the walls.

The Steel Abyss was broken.

The Storm Lord and Iron Dragon King reappeared, immediately moving away.

The gods felt deep unease, looking over

.

In the divine light-filled Radiant Forest, a point of white light appeared.

Though not conspicuous, it instantly drew the gods' attention.

It extended, space dissolving into a void.

"This is... the light of world destruction!"

This phenomenon occurs when a realm naturally dies, returning to nothingness, holding the terrifying power to absorb and destroy the realm's essence, but usually can't exist outside the realm, extinguished upon birth. As long as it doesn't appear within the realm, it poses no threat.

But now, the Storm Lord brought the light of world destruction to the Radiant Forest, amplifying it with divine power.

"Storm Lord, do you want to destroy the Beastland?"

The Beast Lord, seeing the light, first froze, then roared in fury.

Under normal circumstances, it would be manageable, but with the ongoing battle among five powerful beings, the Radiant Forest had become fragile, unable to resist the light's erosion. As it expanded, it rapidly disintegrated more space.

Saying so, the Beast Lord's body expanded, transforming into a giant snake, circling the Radiant Forest, burrowing into the ground.

Amidst the Beast Lord's furious roars, the gods felt the connection between the Radiant Forest and Dawn Forest weakening.

To save the other two forests, the Beast Lord was separating the Radiant Forest from the Beastland.

"Sorry, blame the dragon gods. If they hadn't attacked, the situation wouldn't have deteriorated."

The Storm Lord said.

Angering the Beast Lord, who was deeply connected to the Beastland and would take ages to recover, didn't concern the Storm Lord.

He addressed Siati, "My foolish sister, to save you, I must destroy all life in the Radiant Forest."

Siati, a powerful divine being, was indispensable. The Storm Lord had to save her.

He commanded, "Giant gods, leave the Beastland!"

Siati, hearing this, was dazed.

Not an evil god, realizing the Radiant Forest's impending destruction unsettled her deeply.

The Radiant Forest, one of the three layers of the Beastland, was the top layer.

As a famous outer realm, the countless beasts living there, numbering in the trillions, would be a historical catastrophe if the forest were destroyed.

Seeing the indifferent Storm Lord, Siati felt a rare fear.

A fear only her father had occasionally invoked.

She instinctively lowered her head, not daring to meet the Storm Lord's gaze.

Not just the giant gods, the dragon gods sensed danger.

The Metal Dragon God, the Immortal Dragon Queen, and the Iron Dragon King ceased entangling the Storm Lord and Siati, ordering the dragon gods in the Beastland to leave.

However, the enraged dragon and giant gods didn't want their enemies to leave easily.

With mutual destruction in mind, the battle continued.

Reluctant to risk falling, they had to leave when the destructive light dissolved space.

The most perilous were Garon, the Cloud Giant God, and the Wolf Lord.

The light's explosion point was their battlefield, giving them little time to escape.

In an instant, time seemed to slow.

Garon's mind raced, seeing the approaching light.

"I can't escape."

Closest to the destructive light was Garon, then the Cloud Giant God, and the Wolf Lord.

Realizing the situation, Garon's expression turned grim but delighted.

This was exactly what Garon wanted.

Dragon gods roared in anger, trying to aid Garon, but the Storm Lord and Siati blocked them.

Meanwhile, the Cloud Giant God and Wolf Lord fled without a word.

But Garon wouldn't let them go.

If he was to die, he'd take two with him!

Garon spread his wings, raising his head.

Authority of the Dragon Magic Net: Infinite Self!

Nearly exhausting his divine power, Garon formed the Dragon Magic Net.

Simultaneously, dragons across worlds who used the Dragon Magic Net heard Garon's deep voice.

"My people, I need your strength!"

"Join me, in my fall, to slay the giant gods and beast lords!"

A scene appeared in the dragons' minds.

A white light screen approached, gods clashing, the Radiant Forest collapsing, the sky and earth shaking. In this destruction, the great Eternal and Time Dragon's gaze was deep and calm.

His divine light dimmed, but his fighting spirit burned like wildfire.

His body was covered in wounds, scales battered, blood flowing, adding a tragic and heroic aura.

"What happened?"

"At the brink of death... the great Time Dragon God is in dire straits!"

"Dragon God, I will aid you!"

The dragons, solemn and anxious, lent their strength through the Dragon Magic Net.

"Cloud Giant God, Wolf Lord, you slaughtered my kin. Today, you'll pay in blood."

"Want to leave? I won't allow it!"

Countless dragon powers converged, invigorating Garon.

With the eyes of countless dragons on him, Garon roared, soaring with heroic spirit.

The Temporal Mirror held the Wolf Lord, while Garon lunged at the Cloud Giant God, giving no chance to escape.

Seeing the encroaching light, Garon still clung, making the Cloud Giant God anxious.

"Garon Aurelius, do you want to die?"

"Keep this up, and we'll both die here!"

"Escape now, and we have a slim chance of survival!"

Garon sneered, "A cowardly mouse, a true dragon never fears death! Dying on the battlefield is a dragon's honor!"

Meanwhile, the Wolf Lord howled.

His eyes turned blood-red, skin cracked, revealing blood patterns, releasing a blood mist, turning him into a blood wolf.

His body enlarged, running at full speed to escape.

The Cloud Giant God didn't dare linger, but Garon pursued, hindering their escape.

The light neared, each second feeling long.

Due to Garon's interference, the best escape time for the Cloud Giant God and Wolf Lord passed. Realizing their doom, they turned in despair, fighting Garon.

The light spread, engulfing Garon's tail.

Struck by the uncontrollable divine power, Garon's divine body melted like ice, quickly disintegrating.

"Garon!"

Seeing this, the Metal Dragon God and Immortal Dragon Queen roared in fury at the Storm Lord, "Storm Lord, get lost. You'll pay for this. You'll regret this choice!"

The Storm Lord remained silent, eyes wary, watching Garon's imminent engulfment.

At this moment, the Storm Lord's vigilance peaked, ready to counter the semi-great Time Dragon.

But nothing happened.

"Two mid-level gods with me. I die with honor!"

Garon roared heroically, seemingly unaware of the pain, his body parts eroding.

Watching this tragic scene, dragons' blood boiled, their hatred for giants and reverence for the Dragon God surged.

"Though I fall, upon my resurrection, I will still be the Eternal and Time Dragon!"

With a final roar, the silver dragon was engulfed by the light, his divine body disintegrating, the Cloud Giant God and Wolf Lord perishing.

The Storm Lord, squinting, continued waiting.

Finally, until dragons and giants left the Beastland, Garon showed no signs of revival, and the Storm Lord sighed in relief.

With the Radiant Forest collapsing, Garon, dying there, was truly gone.

The weight on the Storm Lord's heart lifted.

Almost killing Tiamat, the semi-great Time Dragon was feared even by the Storm Lord, unsure of defeating him head-on. Hence, he dreaded Garon.

Now, the greatest threat was gone.

The Storm Lord breathed easier.

"The Beastland battle, the fall of the Eternal and Time Dragon, and the Cloud Giant God."

"Haha, this war heralds the giant pantheon's victory!"
