Refusing My God’s Advances
142: Back on The Grind
Once I was in my studio, I opened up my inventory and found what I was looking for, but I narrowed my eyes at the stupid message I got.
[Area is too small]
"Huh? How is this room too small?" I demanded and then headed over to the window to open it and hop down.
As I landed, I noticed that Shelli was waiting in the middle grassy meadow between the house and the edge of the island. I tried to summon the printer again, but I sighed.
[Requires 20 x 14 foot platform to be placed Resin Printer]
Just how big was this damn thing?! A resin print was not normally very big, even compared to a 3D printer that used filament. The size of this thing was massive compared to that, and that made me think of long hours to print. That was a luxury that I didn't currently have, so this would have to wait.
"How are you feeling?" Shelli asked as she walked over, and I smiled.
"Good, I was just trying to see if I could mess around with my new printer, but it is a lot bigger than I expected. Are you almost ready to go?" I asked, but Shelli shook her head.8
"That was why I was waiting. Mary thinks that you need to train alone for the next two days. The rest of us are going to find a certain person," Shelli explained, and I frowned.
"Certain person?" I asked, and Shelli nodded.
"Aria will finish activating the last Island crystals here on Emberfall today. The problem is that even if you activate the central island, that will just give you dominance over the island. We still have to find someone who can teach you the magic to move the island," Shelli explained, and I nodded, forgetting about that.
"I guess that is the case, but I am still stealing Scarlet for the day," I said after giving Shelli a peck on the cheek and she nodded with a smile, her wings fluttering from the kiss.
Shelli stepped back and then walked past me. "That is fine, and maybe you can ask Danielle about making you something to put your new printer on. Just make sure you stay safe while you are out."
I turned and watched Shelli leave, her white dress blowing in the soft breeze. I would have to make sure I really pushed it today. I wanted to be able to get all the girls something like what I had gotten Danielle from the Character Lottery.
Feeling pumped up, I headed to Danielle's lab. When I got there she was wearing the lab outfit she got yesterday.
"You finally showed up! Where is all my Essence?" Danielle demanded, and I smiled.
"Yeah, Yeah," I said and went into my inventory, and then put my hand over the table we were standing beside. As I did, a pile of five-inch crystals that were all about an inch thick and wide, but of various colors. "Is this enough for now?"
Danielle's eyes sparkled just like the crystal essence shards, and she nodded with a big smile, before wrapping her arms around my neck. "Be careful out there today. I know that you are going alone, so don't be stupid," She said, and then kissed me before pulling away and letting go of me. "You had better make sure nothing happens to my assistant! Scarlet, Leon is here for you!"
At the sound of her name, Scarlet popped up from where she had been working, pulling up the goggles that she had been wearing. "Coming!"
I watch Scarlet jog over, or I watch parts of her as she did. Out of all the women, my redheaded pirate had the biggest... personality... yeah...
"You could at least wait until you two leave before you start staring at her breasts," Danielle mumbled, and I turned to her with a grin.
"I could stare at yours instead?" I offered, and Danielle rolled her eyes.
"You got more than enough this morning and last night. Now," She said, narrowing her eyes at me. "Don't you have more of these crystals to be collecting?"
I laughed as Scarlet joined us, taking off the apron she was wearing to reveal a black outfit that cupped her breasts while also wrapping around them to create a collar at her neck. I found it hard to believe that her breast could even be contained like that, but her jogging had proved the outfit's resilience.
"Ready to go, Scarlet?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Always ready for an adventure with you, Captain," Scarlet replied with a playful wink.
I turned back to Danielle, giving her a quick peck on the cheek. "Don't worry, we'll be careful. And can you see if you can make something for the printer setup while we're out?"
"I will make something, just bring back more of these," Danielle instructed, pointing at the crystals.
With that, Scarlet and I left Danielle's lab and made our way outside, and then I scooped Scarlet up into my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and I was about to take off, but I heard Shelli's voice call my name.
I turned back to see her running over, carrying a basket. As if in response, my stomach growled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten yet. With a smile, I waited until Shelli reached me, and then she handed Scarlet the basket.
"I had almost forgotten to bring your lunch. There is something in there for all three meals in case you end up staying later," Shelli told us and then kissed my cheek.
Scarlet and I both thanked Shelli for the thoughtful gesture and with the basket in hand, we took off into the sky. The air around Emberfall was crisp, and the sun was shining brightly, making it a perfect day for our adventure.
Today felt like the day that I would finally be able to clear Crystal Cavern.
