Chapter 141: Embarrassment Evolution
Once the door closed, Danielle pulled the covers over her head and buried her face in my chest. I put my arms around her and tried not to laugh.
"It's not funny! Aria is going to murder me in my sleep!" Danielle complained into my chest, and I laughed.
"I don't think that is the case. I think she was more worried about you. I was making you make some pretty loud noises," I laughed, but then let out a yelp as Danielle bit me. "Hey! Don't be mean! I am just teasing you!"
Danielle pulled back and then hopped out of the bed with the blanket around her still. She looked back at me and then grinned.
"That was a lot of fun, but now I am making my escape!" Danielle laughed and then jumped out my window only wearing my blanket.
I just stared at the space where she had been, and then shook my head as I got out of bed, and grabbed some new underwear. They weren't anywhere as nice as the ones I had, but they needed to be washed. I might have to see if I can print some new ones cause these bastards are kind of itchy.
Once I equipped my clothes, I left my room but then stopped by to poke my head into Lrya's room, but she was passed out with her phone still in her hand. I walked in quietly and went over to kiss her forehead, but right at the last second, Lrya's eyes shot open, and she launched at me.
"Good morning, Daddy!" Lyra squealed, and I flinched. Yup, it definitely didn't sound the same when Danielle didn't say it, but not in a good way.
"Let's just stick with Leon," I laughed, scooping her up into a princess carry. "You are getting stronger."
Lyra frowned at me. "But Aria said Danielle was calling you Daddy, and you are a dad to my children, so doesn't that make you Daddy?"
I really couldn't fault her logic, but it still didn't feel right. "Daddy is like Danielle's nickname for me..." I trailed off, trying to think how I could best explain this.
"Oh? Does that mean I can think of a name to call you?" Lyra asked, and I nodded.
"If you want," I smiled, and Lrya hopped out of my arms to float in the air in front of me.
"Good, I will think of one, but I think that tomorrow I will be ready for my next Sequence. I am going to need your help for that again," Lyra explained and then gave me a kiss.
I smiled and nodded. "Just let me know. I should have a lot more Magical Power by them," I said, and Lyra got back into bed, picking up her phone.
"Okay! I will be ready for you, Papa!" Lyra giggled, and I shook my head.
"You are going to have to try better than that," I said as I headed for my studio. It was time to get my new printer set up!

After jumping out of the window only wearing Leon's blanket, Danielle streaked back to her lab. The moment she was inside, and the door was closed behind her, Danielle let out a long sigh, leaning back against the door.
"Danielle?"
Danielle froze, and then slowly opened her eyes, feeling the color drain from her face as she found Aria's nose almost touching hers. Panis set in, but Danielle was frozen in pure terror. Aria could do literally anything, and it would most likely kill Danielle.
In her entire life, she had never been scared of another person more than Aria, even though it was because of Aria that Danielle and Daryle had their positions.
"Are you okay?" Aria asked, but then stepped back with a red face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to get so close!"
Danielle gasped for breath, finally able to do so now that Aria had stepped back. Her mind had only been thinking of all the ways it was going to be erased from existence.
"I am fine now, but is there a reason you are visiting me?" Danielle asked but then added. "Not that I mind, but this is the first time you have come into my lab since I got here."
Aria turned from Danielle for a moment, before turning back with a warm smile. "I wanted to make sure that you had really changed."
"Changed? You mean about my affection for my brother?" Danielle asked, not bothering to hide it. It was in the past for her now that Leon was in her life, and her brother was happy.
"That is one thing, but like me, you don't have any friends, right?" Aria asked, and Danielle flinched at the cruel truth.
"And I have changed? I don't think I have really spent any time with any of you, or the other women for that matter," Danielle said, finally feeling confident enough to walk past Aria, and into the lab where the sounds of working could be heard.
Aria turned and followed her. "I don't think that is entirely true. Scarlet is quite fond of you, and I haven't heard you complain about Rosily leaving. That is not that Danielle that I am used to"
At the mention of Rosily’s face, Danielle turned her head so Aria couldn't see her blushing face, but almost instantly, Aria was in front of her.
"Why are you blushing at the mention of Rosily's name? Is she the reason why Leon was so impressed by your skills last night?" Aria asked, getting close to Danielle again.
Danielle tried to back up, but her workbench was conveniently in the way. "I-I d-don't know w-what you are talking about!"
"Ho? What did she teach you? I want to learn!" Aria exclaimed, and the embarrassment suddenly was sapped out of Danielle, replaced by a mischievous feeling that spread to her face.
Danielle knew that she was an insect compared to Aria's power, but Danielle had also known her for a very long time. This was Danielle's one chance to get the princess back from all the abject terror Aria's presence had put her through over the years. She didn't hate Aria for it, it wasn't her fault, but that didn't really make Danielle feel better, but this might.
With a smile and renewed confidence, Danielle leaned into Aria’s ear and vividly started to describe last night along with everything Rosily had taught her. Danielle kept going until it felt like the heat coming from the side of Aria's face was going to cook her own, and she pulled back.
Aria's face had officially conquered the beet and evolved back to a light red color. Now, the embarrassment glowed from her skin like a red Christmas bulb. There was also a visible distortion around her body from all the heat that was radiating from Aria's skin.
Aria had evolved from the (Unique Rare)Beet Red Embarrassment to the (Epic) Burning Red Blush successfully.
"... I think I need to lay down for a bit..." Aria mumbled as she walked backward and collapsed onto a nearby chair, her hand covering her face as if trying to shield herself from the embarrassment. Danielle couldn't help but burst into laughter, feeling a sense of satisfaction that she had turned the tables on Aria for once.
"Are you okay, Princess?" Danielle teased, unable to contain her amusement.
Aria peeked through her fingers, her face still a deep shade of red. "I... I didn't expect that. I've never... heard such details before."
"Well, now you have," Danielle chuckled. "Consider it payback for all the times you've scared the living daylights out of me."
Aria sighed, her embarrassment slowly turning into a sheepish smile. "Fair enough, Danielle. I suppose I had that coming."
The tension in the room lifted, and Aria stood up, brushing off the embarrassment. "So, about the friendship thing. I may not be the best at it, but if you ever need someone to talk to or hang out with, I'm here."
Danielle raised an eyebrow, surprised by Aria's sincerity. "Really?"
Aria nodded. "Yeah, really. I may not show it well, but I do care about the people around me. And it seems like you've changed, so maybe we can be friends."
Danielle smiled, appreciating the unexpected offer. "I'd like that, Aria. Friends it is."
