Reincarnating as a demon in sousou no frieren

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Magic

I have established a consistent routine of going out to harvest plants near the forest. During this time, I have managed to improve my harvesting tools with great results. Using obsidian, I have found the optimal knife shape for cutting wild plants. It is now much easier for me to gather what I need to feed myself and study plants for new resources.

I have continued to try to identify different plants, and I have noticed something interesting: some of them help me generate more mana than I already possess , but temporarily. Is this how potions were discovered in the past? Perhaps those plants have magical properties that increase my mana flow for a short period of time. This opens a world of possibilities. If I can study these plants further, I might create potions or elixirs that enhance my magical abilities.

I have also continued to try to improve the efficiency of the mana flow to my brain. I have been practicing visualization to make the flow of energy enhance the processing of information in my mind, and I succeeded. I now know how to generate spells that can work directly on my body. Visualization seems to be the key, and I need to hone this technique further . If I can control mana more efficiently, I might even learn to create magic that affects not only my mind but also my surroundings.

I decided to give this magic a name so I have a more concrete concept and can use it more effectively . I called it "Berechnung," which means "calculation" or "computation" in German. I chose this name because it sounds appealing to me and because it has a direct connection to my past life as a computer engineer. "Berechnung" reflects how my magic is based on a logical and rational process, as if I were calculating each action before executing it. Furthermore, I believe I could use computational concepts to further enhance my magic. Perhaps I can structure it as if I were "programming" the flows of mana, making the magic more efficient and predictable.
