RWBY: Oscar the gamer

Chapter 18: Upper Team Part 2

Yang and Yatsuhashi was I the gym, as Yang was using a punching bag, as she was speaking to Yatsuhashi as she was speaking

Yang spoken, not looking at the boy. "My sister, I am proud of her, she is nice but I can't have just really on her". She did one more punch as she continued. "It makes me a bit uneasy, heck I don't even have a partner, Blake is Oscar partner and Weiss is Ruby partner, I am more of a 5th member then Oscar as the people have been saying".

She then kicked the punching bag. "I wants ruby to be confident, I want her to be stronger, and one day I live Ruby all alone, just Like M-". She stopped as she rember her mother. "Forget that".

Yatsuhashi then spoke, as he finally got everything. "I see what you are getting, you feel out of place, and you feel like you are the black sheep in your team". He then continues as he looked at her. "And that is ok but now let's talk about your thoughts".

Yatsuhashi looked at her as she sat next to him. "People like good leader needs someone to relay, by focusing on what If, will make it happen sooner".

Yang just looker at him, as hee hair glows a bit. "That maybe work with Oscar and Ruby, but Blake is quite and Weiss will Weiss".

Yatsuhashi nodded, understanding the complexity of Yang's thoughts. "I get it. Each person has their own way of operating. But that doesn't mean you can't find your place in the team. Ruby, Blake, Weiss... they all need you in different ways. It's not about being a traditional 'partner,' it's about what you bring to the team as you."

Yang took a deep breath, her fists still clenched from the punches she'd thrown. "I don't know if I'm doing it right. It feels like I'm supposed to be the strong one for everyone else, but... what if I'm not ready?" Her voice faltered slightly as she looked at Yatsuhashi.

Yatsuhashi gave a gentle smile. "That's the thing about leadership. It's not about always being ready or always being strong. Sometimes, it's about knowing when to lean on others and when to step up for them. You don't have to do it all on your own, Yang. And no one expects you to."

Yang looked at him, a mixture of frustration and understanding in her eyes. "But I want to be strong for Ruby. I want her to be confident and feel like she can handle anything... I just don't know if I can teach her that."

Yatsuhashi chuckled softly. "You don't have to teach her everything. But you can show her what it means to struggle, to fail, and then to rise up again. Ruby looks up to you, Yang. Just like how you look up to your mom."

Yang froze, her heart skipping at the mention of her mother. Her mind flashed to the memories of her mom's words, her warmth, and her strength. It was a painful but necessary reminder. She sighed deeply, dropping her head slightly. "I don't want to let Ruby down... or anyone else."

Yatsuhashi placed a hand on her shoulder, offering her a reassuring look. "You won't. It's okay to feel lost or uncertain sometimes. It makes you human. But don't shut yourself out, because you're never really alone in this. You've got your team... and you've got me if you ever need a sparring partner."

Yang looked up at him, her expression softening. "Thanks, Yatsuhashi. I... I think I needed to hear that."

"Anytime," he replied with a friendly smile. "Now, how about we work on focusing that energy into something more constructive? I'm sure your punches would have more impact if you focused on the why, not just the what."

Yang took a deep breath, looking at the punching bag again with a renewed sense of purpose. "Alright, let's do this. No more distractions." She turned her focus back to the bag, but this time, there was a calm determination in her movements.

Yatsuhashi then looked at Yang. "Now let's talk about how you dress your self in your school outfit".

Yang just looked at him. "What about it".

Yatsuhashi then stopped, feeling it was wrong question. "Yeah no not touching that, don't want it get my ass kicked"

Meanwhile in the garden was Blake and Velvet, as she was making then flowers as Blake asked a Question.

Blake looked at her as she spoke. "Why put up with it".

Velvet looked at her as she Rembers what happens. "You mean why keep up with the Bullying that Cradin, as an upper classmates".

Blake looked at her as she spoken. "Yes why keep up with it, why do you do it".

Velvet was still giving the water to the flower as she continued. "While yes Cardin is a bully, but an Eye for an Eye will make the whole world blind".

Blake then looked at her as she spoke. "Ok then, what will you will do, Ans why do it".

Velvet looked at her as she spoke. "You are nice to Faunus that is good, but if I hurt him he will have more resignment to try Faunus, I rather be friend him, maybe he will stop bullying people all together, I gather gained friends then make enemies, and he will be challenge".

Blake sigehd and had a Noticeable frown. "Ok, do you have something about your team you wanna thank about it".

Velvet paused, taking a moment to think as she watered the flowers. She smiled gently before answering. "I think... I'm thankful for how my team has supported me. Even though I don't always speak up about how things affect me, they've been there for me when it matters. They never make me feel less because I'm a Faunus, and they respect me, even when I don't always agree with their methods."

Blake nodded, understanding where Velvet was coming from. "It's hard to find people who don't judge you because of who you are. But I think you're right—sometimes, if we try to understand others instead of just fighting back, we can help them change. It's not easy, but it's worth a try."

Velvet looked at Blake, seeing the complexity in her eyes. "You understand, don't you? It's not just about fighting for what's right, but sometimes, it's about being patient, showing kindness, and hoping the other person sees the world through a different lens."

Blake looked down for a moment, her thoughts heavy. "Yeah, I do. I've been through something similar... it's hard when you feel like you're fighting an endless battle. But if you can change one person's perspective, maybe that's enough to start a ripple effect."

Velvet nodded, smiling softly. "Exactly. It's not always about the big victories. Sometimes, the small steps are the most important. Even if Cardin doesn't change overnight, maybe one day he'll see that being kind is the better way. That's all I can hope for."

Blake sighed, her expression softening as she watched Velvet. "I think you're stronger than you give yourself credit for, Velvet. Not everyone would be able to take that path. But it takes a lot of courage to hold onto your principles, especially when it's so hard."

Velvet gave her a grateful smile. "Thanks, Blake. It helps to have someone who understands. And who knows, maybe the world could use a few more people who believe in change, even when it seems impossible."

Blake smiled back, a small but genuine smile. "You're right. Maybe that's something we can both work on. Helping people see things from a different perspective."

Meanwhile with that of Fox and Weiss, he spoke to her about her problems with her team

As she then give a condensed version of her problems with all her team to him, in her words, Ruby is too stupid, Yang to lazy, Blake has a resting bitch face and she can't see her not being interesting in things, and Oscar, will let's just say Fox had to cover his ear.

As Weiss went on rant about him, and not the good one, he wonder what the so call Prodigy did to her, she finishes of by saying if she was the leader she would whip them all into shape

He was going to speak, but Weiss just cut her of, as she said that he doesn't understand because he is not the leader, will the rest of the days want quite.

In the afternoon the group of 10 meet up, as eveyrone went to there side as each then talked about the day.

Coco was the first to speak. "Ruby is inexperience but picks up on what I said fast, which is good".

Yatsuhashi then spoke about Yang. "She definitely has a good shoulder and a strong head".

Velvet then spoke. "I was delighted with the conversation with Blake, even if she opened up little".

Fox then spoke as he sighed. "Weiss is good, she talks lot but not enough listening, also she kept shouting down the conversation". He then looked at Crimson. "What about you".

Crimson looked at him, as he pulled a can of soda from a portal. "Oscar has a lot of potential and is good, but he needs more confidence that for sure, but I can see why everyone is calling him and Ruby, the Prodigy kids of beacon, Oscar is 14 and Ruby is 15".

Fox nodded thoughtfully, processing Crimson's words. "Yeah, I noticed that too. Oscar's got the skills, but his self-doubt definitely holds him back. Ruby, on the other hand… she might be young, but her heart's in the right place. I think she just needs to focus more on what kind of leader she wants to be."

Coco chimed in, leaning forward with a grin. "I'll give it to Ruby—she's quick to learn, but she's got a long way to go. Leadership isn't just about being a good fighter or having potential, it's about knowing how to guide your team and make hard decisions."

Yatsuhashi crossed his arms, his gaze thoughtful. "Yang, though… she seems to want to help, but she's struggling with her own confidence. She's trying to help her sister, but at the same time, she's been distancing herself from the group. She's in a tough spot."

Fox, who had been quiet after what Crimson said. "Everyone's got their own issues… sometimes it's hard to understand, but we're all learning and growing. I guess that's what being a team is about."

Velvet smiled warmly, adding, "Exactly. And maybe some of us have different ways of showing it, but I think we all have the potential to help each other. It's just about finding the right way to connect."

Crimson took a swig of his soda before speaking up again. "For sure. You've all got your strengths, and so do they. But sometimes, it's about more than just what's obvious on the surface. Every one of them's got something they're working through—just like all of us."

Fox looked at the group, his expression serious. "Yeah, and I think we need to remember that. They might not be perfect, but they've got something special. Ruby, Oscar, Yang, Weiss—they all bring something unique to the table. If we help them find their way, maybe we can help them grow as leaders too."

Coco raised her can of soda in a mock toast. "To helping each other out. The more we understand, the stronger we'll be together."

Yatsuhashi smirked and raised his can as well. "Agreed. A little patience and a lot of teamwork—that's what makes a good leader."

As everyone took a drink, the room filled with a sense of camaraderie. They knew it wouldn't be easy, but they were in this together. And if they could help the others grow, maybe they could all rise to the challenges that awaited them.

Coco then looked at Crimson. "Also, sorry Crimson I told them about your team Story, or we'll a summary".

Crimson looked at her as she spoke. "Really sis, did you tell her who it was"

Coco looked at her brother as she scoped. "Hey not my fault your team was mess, and you were not a good leader back then, but no I didn't say any names to Ruby".

Crimson let out a deep sigh, running a hand through his hair. "I knew you'd bring that up eventually. It wasn't exactly my finest hour, but I learned from it. And I'd rather not have people thinking I'm still that guy." He took another swig of his soda before meeting Coco's gaze. "But I suppose it's a good lesson. Even the best leaders screw up sometimes."

Coco smirked, teasing, "Oh, I'm sure you were perfect after all those messes, right?"

Crimson rolled his eyes, but there was a hint of a smile. "Not quite. But hey, I'm better for it. And I think you're doing fine as a leader yourself. Just... don't go telling everyone about my screw-ups, alright?"
