Chapter 4: Hanma, the most powerful bloodline of humanity (Rewrite)
When I awoke, an excruciating pain immediately assaulted my entire body. I couldn't discern how long it lasted, but when it finally ended, I knew that my body was very different from how it was a while ago.

Kenichi: (DAMN...!!! I TOLD YOU TO WATCH IN ADVANCE!!!!)
Kenichi: "Agh... Ghh... Guh... Ahh..."
I couldn't help but grunt in pain as the Hanma's blood rushed through my veins; it felt like a raging tempest surging inside my body. This sensation brought back a long-forgotten warmth; it felt almost nostalgic, like the time I lived with my parents before they died. I felt as happy as I did in those moments and, at the same time, it was so painful that I felt like I was going to turn back.
Inside my body, it felt like a turbulent roller coaster. My muscles weren't just expanding; they were transforming into a new form of strength, taking on contours that defied the limits of imagination.
Kenichi: "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
My cells were working feverishly, adjusting and intertwining to form a web of pure power. It seemed like a wild, electrifying dance, with every fiber of my existence undergoing a profound transformation under the influence of the Hanma blood.
Every cell in my body seemed to pulsate with untamed electrical energy. It was as if a primal power was taking hold of me.
My body refused to hold back, and I could feel it stretching and expanding. A remarkable metamorphosis was occurring along my back. For a brief moment, unbeknownst to me, the muscles of my back underwent a strange and irregular transformation, almost resembling the face of a demon.
It was an unsettling and captivating sight; it was as if an ancient and powerful force was being etched into my flesh, all without my fully understanding it. My muscles swelled and expanded beyond imagination, creating a colossal form. I looked like a living giant, radiating raw, unbridled power.
But the transformation did not end there. My muscles continued to grow, but at the same time they also began to compact, evolving into a more efficient form.
After an indefinite amount of time, the pain began to subside slightly and I could feel a new strength coursing through my body, a strength not to be underestimated. I wasn't sure how long this transformation lasted, but my body now felt much lighter than before.
I slowly started to lift myself off the ground and looked at my hand, which was obviously bigger than before.
Kenichi: "So... I am now a Hanma... Or more specifically, my body, blood and muscles are that of a Hanma..."
I could feel that even my voice changed slightly; the only way I could describe it was that I sounded more manly, and I can also feel that I am now taller, not in an exaggerated way, but I was definitely taller than before.
Kenichi: (So... This is what it feels like to be a Hanma.... This is great, I can feel the power coming out of every part of my body, I feel so free. I wonder if this is how Baki and Yuujirou feel; I feel like I can do anything).
Now I understand why Yuujirou, Jack and Baki were so powerful. I haven't done anything yet, but I already feel so powerful.
In addition to my voice and height, I could also notice that my arm was full of muscles, which, luckily for me, didn't look like Yuujirou's. Although I like that manga and also the anime, I have to admit that both the bodies and the muscles of the characters are very unrealistic. The more muscular ones, like Yuujirou and Oliva Biscuit, practically had muscles on top of muscles. Honestly, they looked a bit misshapen for my taste.
I remembered an image of Hanma Yuujirou's muscles, and while the image looked great, that body type is pretty awful, even for an anime.
Plus, it doesn't fit at all with the kind of anime To Love-Ru is. Can you imagine a group of beautiful girls wearing their school clothes, walking around happily, while next to them walks a nearly 2 mt tall guy with macho muscles? It would be a completely bizarre sight.
Kenichi: (Shit, I should have thought better before accepting the reward. All my school clothes were torn when my muscles expanded. Hmm... That's a mirror, I'm a little curious. What kind of appearance will I look like now?)
I approached slowly with firm, confident steps. Also, I'm completely sure that I was projecting some sort of arrogant and confident atmosphere; the simple act of walking made me feel so powerful.
Until I could finally see my figure completely reflected in the mirror, and I have to admit that I was quite surprised.
Kenichi: "So this is what I look like now."
In the mirror I could clearly see my new appearance: I had long messy black hair, my eyes were brown, and I had an incredibly toned body, although not in such an exaggerated way. At first glance, it was a compact body, neither too lean nor too muscular, but if you looked closely, you would notice that it was full of firm muscles; they were perfect in every way.
Overall, my appearance had changed quite a bit. If before I looked like a Character from a humorous anime, now I looked like a character out of Kengan Ashura. I would even go so far as to say that I am quite handsome, but not in an exaggerated way. I guess it's accurate to say that I look more manly.
Kenichi: (The good thing is that my change wasn't as exaggerated as I imagined. While it's true that I'm taller now, it's also not that much of a difference compared to a while ago. If I was 166 cm before, now I must be around 170 cm or maybe a little more.... Although it's still possible that I may grow more. After all, I'm still a growing teenager and, if I remember correctly, Hanma Yuujirou was 190 cm tall).
And to think that the problem of being in poor physical condition would be solved so easily. This is definitely the perfect body; I feel like I can throw punches like the hook from earlier without any problem. But I have to be careful that this doesn't go to my head. If there's one thing I know about the Hanma lineage, it's that it's a lineage of pretty brutal fighters. Even Baki, who was quite gentle compared to his father, had times when he behaved excessively.
Also, I'm not like Baki, Jack or Yuujirou. As cool as it sounds, I have no reason to become the strongest creature on Earth. Besides, I know that with my new strength I should be able to defeat any of the aliens that appeared in To Love-Ru, but Lala's father is another story. Even if one day I become as strong as Yuujirou, I doubt I'll be able to fight him if he decides to destroy Earth. Although Yuujirou's ultimate strength was never made clear in the story, I don't think he is strong enough to destroy a mountain with one of his punches. To face off against someone who is capable of destroying planets, I need to be at least as strong as Saitama from One Punch-Man.
Although in the story they never showed Lala's father fighting, from what they said, he could easily destroy Earth in his weakened state. Also, I can't underestimate the aliens either. In To Love-Ru they were ridiculous and perverted, but there might be some really strong ones here. Plus, there's also Yami, Mea and Nemesis; they're pretty powerful too.
When I understood my situation better, I began to slowly calm down and lessen the intimidating atmosphere I was unconsciously releasing. Maybe in Baki's world one can behave that way if one has the strength to back up that arrogance, but in a ridiculous world like this one, where a guy who looks like a six-year-old is able to easily eliminate me, I have to be much more cautious.
Not to mention that this world is much more complicated than the To Love-Ru world I saw with my ability. After all, an Outer God granted me the system. Also, at school I saw several students who resembled those in various anime I've seen. I have yet to confirm if they are the same or just look alike. So it's possible that even here on Earth there are powerful characters from other anime; maybe there's even magic....
I'm especially quite worried about that pervert I saw running around in those panties earlier at school. I just hope his anime isn't part of this world.
Kenichi: (I have to calm down.... At the moment, until I see something with my own eyes, I can't be sure of anything.... For now, let's analyze the situation well).
Now I have the Hanma bloodline. In Baki's manga only three people with this powerful bloodline were shown:
- Hanma Yuuichirou (Baki's grandfather).
- Hanma Yuujirou
- Hanma Baki
These are the three that I know of from history, although there is also Jack Hanma. However, he wasn't born with the distinctive strong body that the Hanma have; his strength is based more on drugs and the improvements he continually makes to his body with operations. But, seeing how he can endure all that without dying or showing difficulties, he also possesses the characteristics of Hanma blood.
Although Yuujirou mentioned that he has had a large number of children all over the world with different women, only Baki and Jack have appeared so far. That's why it's hard to know if there are more people with Hanma blood.
If I compare them to other fighting anime that have special powers and abilities, the characters in Baki's world are weaker, but they can't be underestimated either. Baki's grandfather, for example, slaughtered an army of 2,000 U.S. soldiers fully equipped with just his bare hands.
And not to mention Yuujirou; not only is he considered the strongest creature on Earth, he also has a huge list of feats that are told almost like urban legends, like when he participated in the Vietnam War and single-handedly slaughtered the entire U.S. Army, or as seen when he single-handedly killed a giant African elephant that looked like those from prehistoric times. One of his most unreal feats was when he stopped an earthquake with a punch.
Kenichi: (Even looking at Baki's alternate reality, I still don't understand how that phenomenon is possible. In the whole story so far, Yuujirou has never shown all the brute strength he has, but he shouldn't be so over the top as to stop an earthquake with his physical strength either. On occasion, when he got angry, even buildings would shake from the intensity of his presence. The only sense I can see in it is that, just like in To Love-Ru, Baki's story also follows the ridiculous logic of the anime).
The most important characteristics of the Hanma lineage are:
- Demon Face, a "technique" in which the user flexes the back muscles with great force to form the face of a demon. The user becomes many times stronger in all aspects after activating it, experiencing an increase in physical strength, speed, defense, endurance, etc. The user can absorb virtually any blow without taking much damage.
- The Demon Brain is a brain deformity in the shape of a demon's face. As far as is known, it enhances the five senses, increases mental processing capacity, parallel thought process and accelerated thought processing.
Also, Demon Face is not so much a technique; it is arguably more of a predetermined advantage, like height or the ability to build muscle, as it is a gift that depends more on genetics and lineage than training. However, it can be treated as a technique, as it is only activated when the user decides to use it. The only logical way to explain it is that this phenomenon is due to the unique body constitution that those with the Hanma bloodline are born with.
Baki has proven to be one of the best martial artists in the entire series; he can practically learn any fighting style just by watching it and use it even better than the person he learned it from. Yuujirou can do it too, but rarely does. The reason he is considered the strongest creature on Earth is because he relies solely on his own strength. He sees martial arts as something that is only for the weak.
Kenichi: (Although that only applies to his world, because if characters like those in the anime Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken, or even Bang from One Punch Man heard him, they would laugh in his face. They developed their martial arts to the max without relying on a special lineage and could defeat Yuujirou without much effort).
Well, that's basically all I know about the Hanma lineage.
To understand more, I'm going to have to train this body thoroughly, and training alone is not going to be enough. In the Baki series, it was shown that for every new experience Baki went through, his strength evolved, like that time when, just by having sex with his girlfriend, he awakened a new strength he didn't know he had. Aside from training, I'm also going to have to experience real fights, and if they are life and death fights, so much the better. I may be acting overconfident, but that's the only way to get stronger quickly.
But it's problematic that I'm so impulsive - what if one day I meet someone who can easily kill me? Besides, unlike Rito, I'm not the protagonist; I'm not protected by the plot. My luck is way below average and I can't forget how I earned the world's displeasure.
I'm going to have my work cut out for me, and not to mention that I might have to overcome the strength of Baki and Yuujirou. This is getting more and more worrisome.
*grunt~* *grunt~* *grunt~*
Kenichi: "Uhh... Shit... With this whole system thing, I completely forgot to eat. I can feel my new body screaming at me to eat something. I'm going to see what I have in the kitchen. Luckily, tomorrow is the weekend; I'll be able to develop my new strength to my heart's content without anyone bothering me..."
After deciding what to do, I quickly headed to the kitchen to enjoy a good meal....
But...
To my bad luck...
Kenichi: "What the hell is this?"
There's only instant ramen here. I checked everywhere, but I couldn't find any cooking ingredients.
Kenichi: (Damn, I had completely forgotten that, while being influenced by the Will of the World, I spent all my time buying perverted magazines or Eroges.... And to think that I even started to neglect my diet. No wonder I was so thin when I checked my body...).
As someone living alone, I obviously knew how to cook. In fact, my grandparents made sure to teach me everything I needed to live on my own; otherwise, they would never have let me come to the city. They were good people, they lived in the country and taught me several of their customs, such as cooking and taking good care of the house....
Things that I completely neglected...
Kenichi: (If my grandparents saw what my current way of life is like, I'm absolutely sure they would be ashamed.... In fact, it's been a long time since I talked to them. As soon as I get my life together, I'll go visit them in town; they must be very worried).
Seeing no other option, I started heating up the instant ramen.
Come to think of it, what will my condition be like now that my body has evolved? I think I'll take a look.

Although I was expecting an increase in my stats, I never thought it would be this much. I haven't even started training and I already far surpassed the stats that people normally have. That means that the fighting level of people in this world is not very high. After all, while it's true that Baki, at the beginning of the series, was strong, he still needed a few years of training to be able to become as strong as his father.
And, along with my ability to see into other realities, I will be able to learn many ways to fight, even the unreal ones from the anime, although I still don't know if I will be able to use things like Ki or magic.
After waiting 5 minutes, the ramen was ready. I quickly served myself and started eating.
Kenichi: "..."
Yes, it's just as I imagined; this is not enough. I'll have to go out and buy ingredients to make something. Wait, now that I remember.
Shouldn't I raise my cooking skills as well?
While it's true that I can cook, it's only at an acceptable level, but now I can acquire knowledge of other realities, like I did before with boxing....
Kenichi: (Let's see... I'm going to try... I want to cook like the characters from Shokugeki no Souma!)
Shokugeki no Souma is simply a story about teenagers who attend a culinary academy called Totsuki, where only 10% of the students graduate. All those who make it become quite famous chefs. Overall, it's just a cooking and humor anime; plus, it has a lot of ecchi scenes. However, what makes it interesting is that the students can have shokugekis, a tradition of the Totsuki academy that allows them to settle their arguments through their cooking skills in culinary duels.
Overall, it's a pretty good story, although the ending didn't quite convince me. But what can I do? It was never a romance story; everything always revolved around cooking.
Kenichi: "..."
Just like with boxing, a lot of information about ingredients, food, and cooking techniques that I didn't know was introduced into my head. Although the knowledge I received was impressive, I wasn't as surprised as I was with boxing. The only thing special about the food in Shokugeki no Souma was that it could cause a phenomenon called culinary orgasm.
In the story, whenever the characters prepared delicious food, those who tasted it began to lose themselves in an imaginary fantasy world that led them to pleasure because of how delicious it was. When the women ate it, they even had quite graphic scenes in which they were half-naked, screaming and moaning blushing from the intense pleasure.
In history, that never had a name, but, apparently, several fans named that phenomenon "culinary orgasm." From what I understood from the knowledge, whenever I cook food this delicious, I'm going to get a pretty similar result.
Kenichi: (Well, I guess being in a world that's based on an anime, that's quite possible. We even have a jerk who always has kinky accidents, so it doesn't sound like something impossible.... With my new knowledge and improved body, it's only a matter of time before my skills improve and are up to the level of the characters in that anime).
Personally, I would like to learn from the cooking techniques of Toriko's world, but that world has many special ingredients not found in this world.
After throwing the bowl of ramen in the trash, I decided to go out and buy some things to eat at a supermarket that was not far from my house.
The question now is.
What do I do?
My clothes got torn and I don't think I have any big enough for my new size?
Kenichi: (Wait, come to think of it, I have old clothes that belonged to my father).
After searching through the clothes I had stored for a while, I found a sweater that belonged to my father. If I remember correctly, he got the wrong size and ended up buying a very large one.
After getting dressed and fixing my hair a bit, I left the house and started walking to the supermarket that was about 10 minutes away from my house.
