Chapter 6: Take Down the Corruption
The sound of the steps echoed in the tunnel; Leon was scurried towards a discernible small light.
As Leon forged ahead, the light grows wider and larger. In color, it was green.
When Leon existed out of the tunnel, he was greeted with sparkling particles in the gloomy place.
The place had a dome ceiling, far above the ground. His path was illuminated by those millions of particles glistering.
The surroundings were vast but visible to Leon clearly.
However, Leon was looking at something else. His head was lifted, almost looking at the ceiling of the chamber.
[A successor?]
The bold voice of the creature reverberated throughout the place.
Three heads, one body, and a pair of wings. It was a three-headed dragon. Its scales paint in purple. Each had its own horn at the centre of the head.
The giant dragon spoke once more in refusal when he darted a glance at the sword Leon held in hand.
[You're not qualified; only a man with fresh energy can challenge for the position of successor. You're already selected by corruption.]
Instead of listening to the three-headed dragon, Leon treads ahead.
[Take another step, and you shall be burnt to ashes.] said the middle head.
Several crystals appeared and began to revolve around the dragon's middle head's neck like the seven planets.
Four of them were blue, indicating ice, two red, indicating fire, and then there was a green. Flames of various colors ignited and enveloped each crystal.
Each flame was hotter than the other. Even ice was hotter than fire itself.
[Banish from this world!]
The maw of the middle head opened wide; all the energy swirled up before his maw. Only to be blasted at once.
When the energy clashed against the ground, in between was a man standing still and unruffled.
When the flame began to extinguish, what unfolded was a scorched ground, and the man was nowhere to be found.
Not even the soot of his remained behind or left any mark. The right and left heads were carefully examined and made the conclusion.
The man was dead.
When they were about to retrieve back. From behind came a voice crashing into their ears.
"You're a low-tier fourth-dimension creature." Said Leon.
Standing beside an altar and grabbing onto a dark crack of space and world. It was more like a crack made in space, and black smoke was craving to come out.
When Leon held the crack on his palm, the smoke swiftly grasped his finger, enfolding them completely.
[How did you escape? I had predicted your actions… you shouldn't have been able to avoid it.] said the left head, bewildered as he saw Leon unscathed.
"Left can predict future action, middle can use magic power, and then right… can tell the stats of the target."
[Your no measly feeble human; you must have defeated a strong Arc-nor before.] said the right head of the dragon.
"You're right, Arc-nor, like you died from my hands many times." Said Leon, his eyes completely focused on the crack.
When the three-headed dragon saw how disinterested the man looked, even ignoring them like they weren't worth fighting.
One of the three, the left head prideful among them, showed his wrath.
[Try it; you will die even before the assumption process commences.]
The dragon had no choice but to watch Leon absorb the black magic.
When the process transpired, the smoke rushed in as it clashed head-on with corrupted magic. Leon's heart writhed in pain, and blood was turning jet-black.
His skin was getting darker, and pain had overtaken him; consciousness was blacking out gradually.
But he was still on his wits, regardless of how unbearable the pain was. He moans in pain as he holds the hilt of the sword tightly.
The sword began to glow, emitting whitish light, and that light swathed Leon's whole body.
[The human came prepared.] said the middle head, impressed.
[Doesn't matter; the frequency in which the corruption is striking is greater than both the holy and black.] said the impatient Left head, snorting.
[However, he's winning.]
When closely peered. Leon body was absorbing without trouble, while the holy power emitted from the sword expedited the process.
The corruption within Leon was eradicated, which left the three-headed dragon bemused as to how this was possible.
Holy magic was never able to intermingle with the black magic. It was an absurd thing.
The thing was. "There is no such thing as magic; it's just a tale of holy and evil magic, told by people of imaginations."
What Leon believed was a different notion regarding magic; creating something through already-created things only by arranging them together.
Arrange atoms into the required formation to create a desirable element. Even if it meant changing the whole subatomic structure.
Noo, just changing everything about it… That was what he wanted to do.
It was a strange fantasy for people, but for Leon, it had to become reality. Because there was someone who showed him this reality made of fantasy.
Dimension 21st being, dream and imagination.
Leon's knowledge wasn't just within a certain dimension but had reached far above his own level. After fighting with many different dimensional beings. He had come to a conclusion: he will reach the dimension 21st in order to achieve everything.
But for that, he had to defeat everything.
Every step is hindered by something, and that was Holy Palace.
Leon's skin turned to its original color, everything within his body was functioning properly without a fault. Both powers had fused with each other.
When the three-headed dragon saw the supreme power, the compulsion had made them surrender to the newly germinated power.
The dragon bowed, [My liege, from now on we will serve you.]
However, the right head knew.
The man was no longer pure; his ego had also evolved with his power. This might be the start of an era where the evil wins or perishes with everything.
