Chapter 2: New Crew
Chapter 2:
Roy and Zoro walked side by side through the streets of Shells Town, their eyes set on the Marine base ahead. Zoro was skeptical of Roy's skill but intrigued by his confidence. Meanwhile, Roy couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Meeting Zoro was one thing, but now they were about to meet Monkey D. Luffy.
As they approached the base, a loud commotion erupted. Marines were scurrying around, shouting orders. At the center of the chaos was a boy wearing a straw hat, a wide grin plastered on his face as he dodged Marines effortlessly.
"That has to be him," Roy muttered.
"Who's this idiot?" Zoro asked, raising an eyebrow.
The boy turned to them, his grin widening. "Hey, you must be Zoro! Join my crew!"
Zoro's jaw tightened. "Why the hell would I do that?"
"Because I'm going to be the King of the Pirates!" Luffy declared proudly.
Roy chuckled, stepping forward. "You've got guts, I'll give you that."
Luffy tilted his head. "Who're you?"
"Name's Roy. Let's just say I'm new around here. And I think we've got a common goal—taking down these corrupt Marines."
Luffy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Sounds good to me! Let's go!"
Roy quicly explained what he'd seen earlier. Captain Morgan, the tyrannical Marine leader, was holed up in the main tower. Helmeppo had the keys to Zoro's swords, and they'd need to retrieve them first.
"I'll handle Helmeppo," Roy said. "Luffy, you create a distraction. Zoro, be ready to fight once we get your swords."
Zoro grinned. "Fine. But if this doesn't work, don't expect me to save you."
"Noted," Roy replied with a smirk.
Luffy burst into the Marine base like a wrecking ball, his Gum-Gum abilities shocking the soldiers. With his rubbery limbs flying everywhere, he knocked out groups of Marines effortlessly, laughing the entire time.
Roy, meanwhile, slipped into Helmeppo's quarters. The coward was cowering in a corner, clutching Zoro's swords.
"W-who are you?!" Helmeppo stammered.
Roy pointed Kurogane at him. "Hand over the swords, and I won't hurt you."
Helmeppo hesitated, his eyes darting to the window as if planning an escape. But before he could make a move, Roy used his newfound speed to close the distance, snatching the swords from Helmeppo's trembling hands.
"Thanks," Roy said, turning to leave.
"You'll regret this! My father—"
Roy slammed the door shut, cutting him off.
Facing Captain Morgan
Back in the courtyard, Zoro's swords were tossed to him just in time. The imposing figure of Captain Morgan appeared, his massive axe-hand gleaming in the sunlight.
"So, you're the ones causing trouble," Morgan growled.
Zoro smirked, drawing his swords. "About time I got some action."
Roy stepped forward, gripping Kurogane. "Mind if I join?"
Morgan roared in anger, charging at them. His strikes were powerful, but Roy's swordsmanship and Zoro's three-sword style proved to be a deadly combination.
Luffy joined the fray, using his Gum-Gum Pistol to land a devastating blow to Morgan's midsection. The corrupt captain crumpled to the ground, unconscious.
Even though Roy could have destroyed the whole base by himself, he held back a lot just so he can enjoy the fun with these two block heads.
With the Marines defeated, the townspeople cheered. They had lived under Morgan's rule for too long, and now they were free.
As the dust settled, Coby, the timid boy who had been helping Luffy, approached.
"Luffy, I've decided to stay here and join the Marines," Coby said, his voice steady.
"Are you sure?" Luffy asked.
Coby nodded. "Someone has to show the world that not all Marines are bad. I want to make a difference."
Luffy grinned. "Then go for it. Do your best, Coby!"
Zoro shrugged. "Good luck, kid."
Roy clapped him on the shoulder. "You've got guts. Don't lose that."
With the town celebrating their victory and Coby staying behind, Luffy, Zoro, and Roy boarded a small ship.
"So, Roy," Luffy began, "are you joining my crew too?"
Roy leaned against the mast, his katana resting on his shoulder. "I've got no other plans. And honestly, this world's too exciting to explore alone. Count me in."
Luffy laughed. "Alright! Let's set sail! Next stop—the Grand Line!"
And with that, the trio sailed into the horizon, ready for whatever adventures awaited them. Roy's Sign-In System chimed in his mind, reminding him that there were countless opportunities ahead. His journey in the world of One Piece was just beginning.
