Chapter 4: To the next island.

Chapter 4

The small ship creaked and rocked as the crew sailed further into the open sea. The sun hung high above, casting its golden rays over the calm waters. Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Roy sat on the deck, with the ship's sail billowing in the wind as they made their way to the next destination. There was a sense of camaraderie among them, despite their differing backgrounds and goals.

Roy leaned against the railing, watching the horizon with a contemplative expression. Luffy, as usual, was grinning like a maniac, swinging his feet off the edge of the boat.

"So, what's next?" Luffy asked, his voice full of energy. "We gonna find the next island and kick some more butt?"

Roy chuckled. "I'm sure that'll happen along the way. But it's not just about fighting for me."

Nami, who had been sitting cross-legged on the deck, looked up, curious. "What do you mean?"

Roy stretched, his eyes thoughtful. "It's about becoming the strongest. That's my goal."

Zoro, who had been cleaning his swords, raised an eyebrow. "The strongest? What does that even mean to you?"

Roy looked at them both with a steady gaze. "You see, I'm not after some grand treasure or fame. I want power—not just to survive, but to be the one who stands above everyone else. Because even the king has to bow before the strongest."

Nami raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "So, you're saying you want to be the strongest person in the world?"

Roy nodded. "Exactly. It doesn't matter who the king is or how much wealth they have. If they're not the strongest, they have to bow to someone who is. I want to be that person. I want the strength to protect those I care about, and to make sure no one can ever stand in my way."

Luffy, hearing this, grinned even wider. "That's awesome!" He hopped up from his spot and punched the air excitedly. "I want to be the King of the Pirates! We're not so different! We both want to be the top!"

Zoro smirked, standing up and stretching. "Well, in that case, if you want to be the strongest, you'll need to fight me for it one day. That's how it works, right?" His grin was cocky but friendly.

Roy laughed. "I'm looking forward to it, Zoro. But don't expect me to go easy on you. One day, you'll see what real strength looks like."

The mood on the ship lightened as the crew shared a moment of mutual understanding. Nami shook her head, her face forming a teasing smirk.

"Great, now I have to deal with two idiots who want to be the strongest," she said sarcastically. "What about you, Roy? You think you can take on the whole world?"

Roy met her gaze, his expression serious. "I've never backed down from a challenge. But it's not about being reckless. It's about growing stronger with every step we take. You'll see. One day, the strongest will have all the answers."

Luffy raised his fist into the air dramatically. "I'm gonna be the strongest, too! But first, I need a crew that can help me get there! We'll all be the best together!"

Roy smirked at Luffy's optimism. "If you're the King of the Pirates, then I'll be the one who helps you protect it from anyone who dares try to take it from you."

Nami laughed softly, shaking her head. "You guys are unbelievable. But fine, I'll help you too—because if you two end up being the strongest, that'll make my treasure hunting easier."

The conversation fell into a comfortable silence as the crew continued their journey across the sea. The wind whipped through the sails, and the sound of the ocean filled the air. Roy's thoughts drifted as he looked at his sword, Kurogane, knowing that with each battle and each sign-in, he was one step closer to his ultimate goal.

The ship sailed onward toward the next island, the crew united by a shared sense of adventure and determination. While each of them had their own goals, they all knew that the journey ahead would be filled with challenges, battles, and new friends. Whatever came next, they were ready.
