Chapter 4: 04."Clash of Powers: Carlo vs. Whis in Training
"That's right, this is the form of Super Saiyan Five."
"I hadn't learned about this form before, but at this moment, I know very well that the power and speed mastered by Super Saiyan Five are far beyond what Super Saiyan Four could achieve," Carlo nodded earnestly, his voice full of conviction. "After transforming, this power that is almost gushing out is indeed not comparable to Super Saiyan Four."
"Well! I can almost feel it," Whis responded, his expression a mixture of curiosity and admiration. "The power you have now has indeed surpassed some of the Gods of Destruction! If you continue to strengthen your basic training, you'll definitely be able to surpass most of the Gods of Destruction and stand at the very top among them."
Carlo gave a polite nod. "I'll have to rely on your guidance for my training, Whis."
"It's our duty as angels to train and counsel the Gods of Destruction," Whis replied with a smile. "To be honest, Lord Carlo, your current strength makes me a little curious!" He continued, intrigued. "Then let's see what you've got!"
Whis knew that angels were forbidden from engaging in full-on combat with Gods of Destruction unless it was for training purposes. But the line between training and combat was a thin one, and when it came to training the God of Destruction, an angel could use most of their power without breaking the rules.
Although Carlo's power had greatly increased, Whis knew that even now, Carlo still had a considerable gap to close before truly reaching the level of an angel. But it was certainly an exciting development!
Carlo nodded in response, his fists clenched, and his body surrounded by crackling energy. The air around him grew heavy with tension.
"Alright, here I come!" Carlo's body blurred as golden lightning swirled around him. In the blink of an eye, he was already in front of Whis, delivering a powerful, unrestrained punch.
However, Whis showed no sign of worry. He merely flickered and effortlessly dodged the blow. His movements were so fast that Carlo barely had time to react.
Carlo didn't flinch, his experience telling him how powerful Whis truly was. But his determination burned brighter than ever. Without hesitation, he launched a flurry of rapid punches, each one leaving trails of lightning behind.
But Whis was a blur, his movements fluid and precise, dodging each attack without breaking a sweat. Carlo's strikes seemed to miss by mere inches each time.
"Whis, you don't fight fair!" Carlo called out, frustration creeping into his voice. "If you keep using the ultra instinct Technique, I won't be able to land a single blow!"
"You're right, this isn't much of a fight," Whis replied with a teasing smile. "But let me experience Lord Carlo's strength firsthand!"
Whis knew that Carlo had a lot of untapped potential, but his technique needed refinement. He had already taught Carlo the basics of the Ultra Instinct Technique, a training style that allowed one to be perfectly calm and able to fight without restrictions. However, Carlo hadn't yet mastered it fully. The technique demanded not just power but an immaculate level of mental discipline.
"I think this might be a bit boring for you, Carlo," Whis said, as he slowly moved his staff into position.
Carlo smiled, unperturbed. "Let's see how well you handle my strength now!"
Carlo raised his power even further. His aura flared, the golden energy mixed with lightning crackling violently as it surged into the sky.
His body shook with the intensity of his transformation. His hair, already long and wild in Super Saiyan Five, now seemed to pulse with energy, glowing even brighter.
He charged forward once more, this time with all the strength his body could muster, throwing a punch directly at Whis.
Whis responded with calm precision, lightly extending his staff. The moment their energies collided, a deafening hum echoed across the entire Divine Realm. The force of their clash sent shockwaves through the ground, ripping apart the surrounding trees and leaving the earth bare in their wake.
"That's right," Whis said, his tone still calm, almost detached. "Lord Carlo's current strength is indeed countless times stronger than before. But this is still just a fraction of the power I can handle."
"Cut!" Carlo growled, frustration building. "Is this really the power of angels? It's a little too unreasonable, don't you think?"
Whis didn't respond to the outburst. Instead, he lightly twirled his staff, his face as serene as ever.
Carlo's fists clenched tighter. He refused to be disheartened. Instead, he steeled himself and focused harder than ever before.
"HAAAA!" He roared, as golden lightning erupted from his body, shooting straight up into the sky like a pillar of pure energy. The sky itself seemed to tremble in response.
His aura soared, building once again as he prepared for another attack.
