Super Five:The God of Destruction

Chapter 5: 05,A Meal for the Gods: Carlo’s Kitchen Showdown

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Buzz!

After hundreds of attacks, Carlo's strikes still had no effect.

Frustrated, he could only call an end to the fight. The gap between him and the angels was vast and unfathomable. To defeat an angel, he would need to transcend even Super Saiyan Five.

Perhaps only by surpassing this form and reaching Super Saiyan Six—or higher—could he stand a chance against beings like Whis.

"Alright, Lord Whis, that's all for today!"

"You angels are so disrespectful to martial virtues!" Carlo stopped, his voice tinged with helplessness. The power of these beings was simply too overwhelming.

"Oh yes, Lord Carlo, what you said was very wrong for us."

"Why don't we discuss martial virtues?"

Whis retorted with a hint of grievance.

Although angels were indeed extraordinary, they had existed for billions of years, accumulating knowledge and strength over time. Whis couldn't help but feel that Carlo was being unfair to their race. After all, Carlo's progress had been almost unnatural. "You're the anomaly here," Whis added.

Carlo pursed his lips. He believed that the angels were just too "angelic" in their immense power. Their abilities seemed to have no limits, and it frustrated him.

"Lord Carlo, you have to make it up to me," Whiscontinued with a jokingly serious tone.

"What did I say that hurt you?" Carlo smirked, meeting Whis's eyes with a challenge in his gaze.

"I don't know... But you've wounded my angelic heart deeply!" Whis replied with mock sorrow.

Carlo raised an eyebrow. "Do you want me to offer up my flesh as payment?"

Whis's eyes widened in surprise, but Carlo was already grinning.

"Forget it," Whis waved his hand dismissively, though his eyes gleamed with curiosity. "But if you really want to make it up to me, find me a planet with delicious food! I'm starving for something tasty!"

"Ah, a foodie at heart, huh?" Carlo chuckled, but then he raised a brow. "If you keep acting like that, people might think you're... a little too fond of me."

Whis's face turned red at the teasing.

"Fine, fine," Carlo laughed. "I'll cook for you then. My best dishes will make you bite your tongue, I promise."

"Oh no, not this again!" Whis grimaced. "I can't believe you're actually going to cook. I've never seen you lift a finger in the kitchen! And you're telling me you know how to cook?"

Carlo grinned. "Wait and see. I'll impress you, Whis. Just you wait!"

Whis shook his head, unconvinced. "I pity the ingredients you're about to ruin."

Carlo was undeterred. "You'll see. My cooking skills are unparalleled, at least for someone who's a self-proclaimed chef."

As they entered the kitchen, Carlo began to prepare the dishes. The ingredients had been provided by Whis from nearby planets.

Vegetables and fresh meat had been gathered during his travels, and Carlo was ready to put them to good use. It was his turn to shine.

Ten minutes later, Carlo had completed four dishes: braised pork (made with unknown meat, but it looked great), stir-fried seasonal vegetables, and a fish dish he couldn't name but had transformed into a chopped pepper fish. While the ingredients weren't top-tier (especially compared to Earth's finest), they were fresh and flavorful.

"Well, look at this," Carlo said, wiping his hands. "I think you'll be surprised. I guarantee you'll be impressed."

Whis, standing by the kitchen door, took in the scent of the cooking and immediately started sniffing the air. His eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, this… this smells good?"

He quickly realized he was underestimating Carlo's abilities. The scent was unlike anything he had ever smelled before. Could it be?

"Hey, Whis," Carlo called out, his voice smug. "Tell me what you think after you try it."

Whis was still reluctant but couldn't deny the tempting fragrance filling the air.

"Well, I didn't expect this at all," Whis said, slowly taking a bite. His eyes went wide, a rare moment of genuine surprise crossing his features. "This… this actually tastes great!"

Carlo smiled triumphantly. "Told you. A chef's skills are hidden beneath the surface!"

Whis raised an eyebrow, clearly impressed by Carlo's cooking. "I must admit, I underestimated you."

The three of them sat down to eat, and as they dug into the meal, Carlo couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. His power may not have been enough to defeat an angel yet, but he was certainly becoming stronger with each passing day. And who knew? Maybe this victory would be enough to lift his spirits.
