Chapter 112: Meeting Thor IV
Dave smirked. "Simple. Your brother is lying. He's ensured you stay here, drowning in despair and guilt, while he consolidates power in Asgard. The mighty Thor, reduced to wallowing because of a trickster's words."
Thor frowned deeply, anger flickering across his face. "Loki is my brother and the Prince of Asgard. He wouldn't lie about something like this!" he growled.
Dave crossed his arms. "And yet, Loki is also the God of Mischief. Lying and scheming—it's his very nature," Dave said, standing up. "I was hoping to give you a push in the right direction, but in your current state, it's like fighting against a child."
Thor bristled at the remark, standing up abruptly. "You dare insult me?" he growled, throwing a punch at Dave in frustration.
Dave didn't flinch as the punch landed squarely on his face, doing absolutely nothing. "As I said," Dave replied with a smirk, "a child's punch."
Without much effort, Dave raised his palm, countering Thor's next move. The god went flying across the room, crashing into the wall with a loud thud. Thor groaned, stunned by the sheer force.
Dave turned to leave. "Find your strength, Thor. You'll need it," he said coolly as he walked out of the room, leaving the God of Thunder to stew in his thoughts.
"That was your goal? Fighting him?" Phil asked, as he followed Dave out. Dave nodded without hesitation. "Why else would I be here?" he replied, his voice calm, though there was an edge to it.
Phil shook his head in disbelief. "You're something else, your father, James. Always trying to make more and more money, while you remain a battle maniac," he said, watching as Dave walked off with Diana.
"What is this 'New transport' he was talking about?" Phil muttered to himself.
"It's like a portal, reddish-orange in color. He creates it with just a wave of his hands," Black Widow explained as she caught up with Phil, showing him the dash cam footage from the car.
Phil studied the footage thoughtfully. "Hmm, he's becoming more and more powerful," he remarked.
"Yes," Black Widow replied, "I can literally feel the power radiating off him. It's like being in the presence of a super-powered being." She sighed. "With Agni and Rudra's help, I'm becoming more than just human. I've gained many powers, but Dave... he doesn't even mention it. To him, it's all just normal." She paused, her expression turning serious. "I'm now half-demon, thanks to Agni and Rudra. They've been guiding me."
Phil looked at her, processing her words. "You're not the same person anymore, are you?" he asked softly.
"No," she said, a subtle grimness to her voice. "But neither is Dave."
"Then it's best we find a countermeasure against him," Fury's voice echoed through the comms, cutting through the tense silence. Black Widow shook her head, clearly frustrated.
"Is there even a countermeasure against a being that can destroy Earth with a single stomp?" she asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Fury fell silent for a moment. "Then have him as an ally. That's the only path we have," he said, his tone begrudging but resigned.
Black Widow and Phil both nodded in agreement, realizing the truth in his words.
"I don't think he'll ever fight against us. He's usually neutral, most of the time," Phil added, his voice thoughtful.
Fury's voice crackled back through the comms, "I do need certainty, not just a possibility ." He ended the call abruptly.
Back in his office, Phil stared at an old-looking communicator, deep in thought. "I really hope this doesn't escalate to where I have to call you in," he muttered, referring to the super-powerful woman he knew.

Dave, on the other hand, returned to his bedroom, where he exercised with Diana. After a long workout, she fell asleep, and he smiled as he cleaned up. "Maybe I'm obsessed with it, but it's fun," he muttered to himself, diving into another magical theory he'd been exploring.
The next morning, Diana woke up, rubbing her eyes and stretching. She noticed Dave was already working on something, scribbling notes. "Ha, I let him finish," she thought to herself, watching him.
She sat up, the blankets falling from her body as she stretched, then blushed when she saw him looking at her. "You were working?" she asked, her voice still soft with sleep.
Dave, noticing her discomfort, leaned in and whispered into her ear, "But I wanted breakfast first." He then gently pushed her back onto the bed.
"Mhm..." Diana responded softly as the moment deepened, their time together lasting a while.
After some hours, Dave stood up, giving her one last kiss. "Thanks for the fun," he said, his tone affectionate.
Diana's face flushed as she stood up, her hair messy. "You're really something else," she muttered, heading to the bathroom to wash up.
Dave, on the other hand, smiled as he went after Diana. They spent a few hours together in the bath, relaxing and enjoying the moment. By the time they came out, it was already after noon.
Once they were dressed and ready, they found out that Thor had been released. A man named Dr. Selvig had bailed him out.
"Why did you release him?" Dave asked, addressing Phil, who seemed irritated.
"We wanted to see if there are more Asgardians besides him. We had our men monitor him," Phil explained.
Dave nodded thoughtfully. "Where did he go?" he asked.
Phil quickly contacted Black Widow, who was already on her way to the Thor location. She offered to take Dave and Diana with her to track Thor down. Dave agreed, ready to go with her.
Soon, Black Widow returned and picked up Dave and Diana. They drove towards the town where they were staying.
"Why are you after him? Right now, his weak self surely won't attract you," Black Widow asked, glancing at Dave, who was looking out the window. He replied, "Well, soon enough, he'll regain his strength, and I'm waiting for that moment."
Black Widow nodded thoughtfully. "By the way, Fury was asking if you can teach us those Navy Six styles Diana was talking about," she said.
Dave looked at her and nodded. "Sure, but it requires high physical strength. Otherwise anyone who tries it can injure themselves," he warned.
Black Widow nodded, clearly understanding the risk involved.
