Chapter 390: Chapter 391: Thor's Two Souls

Thor did not believe that the previous feeling of a blood connection was an illusion. He had seen Peter Parker wielding Mjolnir before and knew that Mjolnir was now his only chance! Especially with his boss, Tohru, in an unknown state of life or death, Thor had to find a way to deal with Peter Parker and Barry Allen. He couldn't afford to waste any more time!

With a swish, Thor's figure instantly disappeared from his original position, running towards Mjolnir. Peter Parker saw through Thor's intentions.

Although Peter Parker didn't know if Thor could lift Mjolnir at this moment, he certainly couldn't just stand by and watch Thor pick up Mjolnir.

After all, Peter Parker couldn't use Mjolnir against Thor, and he also didn't want Thor to use Mjolnir against him. Only those who have used Mjolnir can understand how powerful it truly is!

With a swish, Peter Parker's figure also disappeared from his original position, and a spider web shot out from his wrist.

Peter Parker hadn't used this move in a long time. At least in the later stages of fighting the demons, this move had been mostly abandoned.

There was no choice. Those demons were either hideously strange or covered with all kinds of bizarre powers. Even though his spider webs were stronger than natural ones, they still had little effect on the demons.

However, Peter Parker's spider webs were now different. After undergoing a transformation in his powers, his webs had also changed.

Sizzling sounds accompanied the webs as they shot out, now charged with the power of thunder. Not only did they have additional elemental damage, but they also increased the paralyzing effect of the webs!

"Huh?!" Seeing the mass of lightning-infused, milky-white substance flying towards him, Thor instinctively dodged. However, in that instant, the web expanded into a net of thunder, enveloping Thor.

At this moment, Thor was only a step away from Mjolnir!

The thunder's power paralyzed Thor instantly. Peter Parker had initially thought that thunder might not affect Thor much, but using it this time proved extremely effective!

Peter Parker even faintly felt that not only did Thor lack resistance to thunder, but he also seemed somewhat weak against it.

"Damn it!" Realizing his body was trapped in the thunder net, Thor gritted his teeth, trying to resist, but the paralysis was too strong. He couldn't move, let alone break free.

A humming sound came from Mjolnir, which began to tremble slightly, with thunder surging within it. It seemed like Mjolnir wanted to fly back to Thor's hand.

After all, in Mjolnir's perception, Peter Parker was just a temporary wielder; Thor was its true master.

Seeing Thor in danger, Mjolnir wanted to help him, even though Thor hadn't completed the trial set by Odin. But just then, Odin's enchantment on Mjolnir activated, calming its power and returning it to its ordinary form.

Peter Parker frowned at Mjolnir. When it acted up, he felt a bit panicked. He wasn't stronger than Thor in pure combat. If Thor received Mjolnir's help, neither he nor Barry Allen could match him.

But now, with Mjolnir calm again, Peter Parker felt his connection to it restore, allowing him to control it once more.

Clearly, there was a controller behind all this. Although Asgard had declared they would no longer protect Earth, Odin wouldn't leave his son Thor unattended.

While Asgard sought Loki and Heimdall, Odin watched over Earth.

Seeing Thor grow stronger and improve his combat skills, Odin felt gratified. But he wanted Thor to become even stronger, to face more trials.

Even when the Warriors Three were in mortal danger at Tohru's hands, Odin didn't intervene. He believed such experiences would be Thor's greatest trials, preparing him for Asgard's future.

Similarly, Odin had stopped Mjolnir's actions. He knew Thor was just trapped and not in real danger. Given Peter Parker and Barry Allen's style and their knowledge of Mjolnir, they wouldn't kill Thor. They'd likely want to understand what had happened to him.

"Looks like you've got things under control here?" Barry Allen asked Peter Parker, looking at Thor struggling in the thunder net.

"Sort of. At least, I've taken care of the other enemies. If this guy had shown up earlier, I wouldn't have managed so many monsters…" Peter Parker shook his head, sending another jolt of electricity through the webs, further paralyzing Thor.

"What should we do with him?" Barry Allen frowned, looking at Thor and Mjolnir. "After what happened with Loki, this could be troublesome if he's really Thor."

"Let's take him to Robert. This is beyond our decision…" Peter Parker shrugged, looking at Mjolnir with a smile. "And we need to handle the energy in Mjolnir. It's getting harder to use its power."

"Let me go…" Peter Parker walked toward Thor, who, gritting his teeth, shouted intermittently, "You dare to oppose Hydra? You're dead…"

"If you were really Hydra, you'd be dead by now!" Peter Parker scoffed, grabbing Mjolnir. The hammer trembled but ultimately stayed in Peter Parker's hand.

"Heh, I can still lift it and use its power? Can I use this power against him?" Peter Parker's eyes flickered as he considered Mjolnir. After today, his perception of the hammer had drastically declined, understanding why Robert and others disregarded it.

Despite their greater strength, the hammer's power was external, not their own.

For example, if Thor could reclaim Mjolnir, it would be dangerous in Peter Parker's hands. Thus, he had no intention of relying on its power anymore.

"Zzz!" Peter Parker's words went unanswered. Though Mjolnir had its consciousness, it couldn't speak. With Odin's enchantment active, Peter Parker finally used Mjolnir's power against Thor.

A stronger surge of electricity flowed, and Thor fell unconscious, losing the ability to resist.

"Could've solved this sooner, huh?" Peter Parker mocked the unconscious Thor, unclear if he was talking to Thor or Mjolnir.

"By the way, the Hydra guy seems to have escaped…" Barry Allen remembered Tohru's disappearance.

"Escaped? What do you mean?" Peter Parker asked, puzzled.

"I smashed him into a mountain, but his body vanished without a trace. Only rubble was left. He couldn't have turned into rubble, right?" Barry Allen sighed, his performance feeling inadequate compared to Peter Parker's.

"Take me to see. If he's gone, we'll take this guy away…" Peter Parker said after a moment of thought.

"Alright!" Barry Allen nodded, leading the way. Peter Parker, now wielding Mjolnir, followed closely, carrying Thor wrapped in the thunder net.

After some time, they reached the mountain. Peter Parker searched with Barry Allen but found nothing. They decided to leave with Thor.

Afterwards, Peter Parker and Barry Allen contacted Robert to handle Thor.

"So this guy is Thor? Doesn't look like much…" Robert muttered, looking at the unconscious Thor.

"We can't be sure, but based on Mjolnir's reaction, he probably is. We just don't know why he's with Hydra…" Peter Parker shrugged, recounting their experience to Robert.

"Animal warriors? Tohru? They're still around? I thought Steve and his team dealt with Hydra. Are they really that resilient?" Robert was surprised, not having kept up with Steve's activities.

"If he's with Hydra, maybe he's brainwashed?" Robert speculated, thinking of Bucky, and eyed Thor, intrigued.

Thor was difficult to handle. Killing him was out of the question without the power to defeat Odin. Killing Thor would provoke Odin's wrath, likely leading to a battle on Earth.

Even with powerful defenders, protecting was always harder than destroying. If Odin wanted to destroy Earth in vengeance, Clark, the Ancient One, and Robert might not stop him.

Thus, the best solution was to send Thor back to Asgard.

"Ancient One?" Robert called out but received no response. Either the Ancient One didn't hear or chose not to intervene.

Realizing he couldn't use the Ancient One's portals to send Thor back, Robert sighed.

"Alright, let's restore this guy's memory first." Robert focused on Thor, lifting him into the air with his powers.

With a hum, a strange energy enveloped Thor, making him tremble. Two similar-looking souls appeared, floating beside Thor.
