The Adaptive Quincy of Bleach

Chapter 3: The mission (3)

Stretching his body a bit, Sora prepared himself for his biggest task yet, Sora tiptoed through the Ishida household, his tiny frame wrapped in a childish determination.

He made sure to dampen his reiatsu to the bare minimum, he did not want to be sensed at all.

He had worked his ass off for about 3 hours to get better at mastering that.

Now, his plan was simple, he was ready to sneak into the grand Ishida library and "borrow" a few books.

For research purposes, of course.

Like a child, he smirked to himself.

'This is going to be easy' he thought to himself as he began his sneaking around.

The hallway stretched out before him, it was dimly lit with the soft glow of the moonlight.

Each step he took was carefully calculated, and each creak of the wooden floor was avoided with the precision of a ninja.

He reached the door to the library and gently pushed it open.

He was lucky, as unlike when he was trying to steal cookies while he was younger, the hinges didn't betray him.

Victory was so close, he could almost taste it.

Victory was so close, yet at the same time so far away.

"Sora."

A cold voice rang out, it froze the boy mid0step. He slowly turned his head toward where the voice was, and sweat began forming on his brow.

And there he saw it, just a few feet behind him, the mean adult could be seen.

Ryuken could be seen standing there, arms crossed and face as stoic as ever.

"Wha—how?! I was so quiet!" Sora protested, how was he caught, he was super slippery, and he was super duper focused.

His control over his Reiryoku couldn't be that bad, right?

Ryuken just raised a single brow.

"Your spiritual pressure is barely there, but you breathe like a warhorse. Stop stomping around like a rhino, and maybe I won't hear you."

Why was the man so harsh, Sora pouted but trudged back to his room, he would get in next time.

He will show this mean adult what he was made out of.

Later that night, he made his second attempt, this time it was more refined. Sora had wrapped himself in a thick blanket to muffle any sound he might make.

His Reiatsu was nonexistent, and this time, he consciously held his breath every time he moved.

If Ryuken was going to catch him again, he would have to work for it.

There was no way he would get caught this time.

He slithered through the hallway, his blanket camouflaging him as just a lump of shadow.

Once again he reached the library door once more, and his heart was pounding with excitement. He was in. He—

"Blankets belong in bed, Sora," came the familiar voice from behind him.

Sora jumped, his head snapping back. There he saw it, Ryuken was seen leaning casually against the wall, and the man adjusted his glass with an air of boredom.

"HOW?!" Sora exclaimed, his voice cracking.

Like really, how....how in the heck did the man notice him?

"Why so surprised...who wouldn't notice a white blanket walking around the house"

....

.....

Maybe his super duper plan was not as super duper as he may though.

And as if to rub salt into his wound, the man looked at him before saying.

"Even without spiritual pressure, your presence is loud. Do you think sneaking involves dragging yourself like a slug? Go back to bed." He then walked past him and into his room.

The wheel above the boy's head spun, 2 more times.

This was war...

The man had just declared war and Sora would not back down.

Sora created a truly genius plan that any 9-year-old would be proud of. One that he was sure, the mean adult could not foil.

He would create a decoy out of Reishi constructs. It would be a small glowing bird, whose only goal was to fly around the house as a distraction.

His wheel had to spin about 2 more times before he could do it, but oh well, his control over Reishi had gotten a lot better.

He observed the birds outside, he noticed the way the Reishi in the air seemed to move around their body, he analyzed the bird Reiryoku, the second he was done and his wheel spun 2 times.

He closed his eyes, he then closed his hand, he condensed some of the Reishi in the air, alongside his own Reishi in order to make out a bird.

He felt giddy as the Reishi bird was made.

Now his little birdy friend would fly around the house while he snuck into the library from a hidden entrance, he had discovered earlier that day, this plan was foolproof.

He activated his plan, his reishi bird fluttering noisily down the main hall. Sora, meanwhile, slid into the library unnoticed through the back, tiptoeing with his absolute best effort. He grinned like an idiot as his fingers brushed the spines of the books.

"Sora."

He froze again. Ryuken was seated in one of the library's chairs, legs crossed and a book in hand, as though waiting for him.

"What?!" Sora cried, clutching his head. "I didn't even use my Reistsu this time!"

Ryuken shut his book, his gaze was sharp and almost amused, the man's eyes then landed on the reishi bird.....He thought a bird had entered his house.

The Reishi construct the boy had made....felt so much like the real thing, he was almost fooled.

His gaze landed on the wheel on the boy's head.

The wheel spun again... and he could barely sense the link between the boy and the Reishi construct.

"Your reishi constructs are... creative. But you don't think I can sense the difference between a decoy and a child stomping through the house? And again, stop breathing so loudly."

Time skip.

It's been a week.... Sora was in his 130 attempts....don't judge him, it wasn't his fault, the man had eyes behind his back.

Sora could not sneak past the man, no matter how he tried, the man would sense him.

A/N....Alright here are the adaptions so far.

He can make Reishi construct and control those constructs.

If he makes a bird unless you see it, you will think it is a bird, as you know, no ordinary bird would be all blue.

Another ability is the ability to see through the eyes of his constructs.

Lieutenet level level sensing ability.

Captain level Reiatsu.

Yes...he is busted, how the heck yall think he survived the Ashvallen, or however that is spelled...remember when Ryuken found him....he had the wheel...he is also a distant relative of the Ishida, so his natural hair color is black...if you look at the story cover, you can tell that clearly not his current hair color.

Remember when the wheel vanishes, the adaption is mostly gone, however, he can clearly gain back the strength he had during the adaption as it will be saved as muscle memory to him.

Unless it's something fundamentally opposed to his Quincy heritage, he will be able to do it.

His adaption is like Marohaga but with some slight changes here and there, had to make his power not fully reassemble that of that Quincy that Uraha fought, death-dealing busted, but so is adapting.

Anyway, Sora Ishida is the definition of...I understand it now.

Hit him with a move once, the second time you use that move he will parry it, the third time, dodge, if he somehow hits again, by the fifth spin, your attack deal no damage.

Also yes, if he is put under Aizen Kyoka suigetsu, he will adapt to it, give it like 5 minutes, or 2 minutes depending on how much effort he puts into it.

Yes, He can adapt to the almighty, yes he can adapt to the balance, yes he can adapt to all the Quincy vollstanding, if he is turned into a zombie, give him 3 minutes and he will be back to normal.

And yes, if he gets put under Shusui Bankai, by the time the third arc comes around, he will be fully adapted.

If it's a power in bleach and you wonder if he can adapt to it, remember, his adaption is...

He adapts to any and all phenomena.
