LIGHTNOVELWORLD Chapter 4: Revelation
Upon hearing the question, Samuel's father remained silent for a while before he finally responded.
"Currently, I am in an injured state. I'm not talking about the current situation where I am burned after facing that monster, but instead, I'm talking about before coming to this village.
Back then, I was already a seven star beast tamer. But I was involved in a fight that ended up with 3 of my monsters being killed. The moment that they were killed, I ended up suffering a backlash.
And after the monsters were killed, I was also terribly injured back then. Still, I managed to escape. That was when I came with you to this village, in order to hide from that group of people.
It was not only to hide myself here, but instead, it was also to hide you. After all, if they came to know about the talent that you possess, they would go mad. They would do everything that they could in order to make sure that they exploited the abilities that you possess.
And with the interest that I suffered, it was obviously impossible for me to be able to display my abilities as a beast tamer at the seven star level. After all, a beast tamer was not regarded as a beast tamer without the monsters.
So, the only monster that I had left was the one that possessed an auxiliary ability. It was not meant for combat, but for support.

Even though the monster was capable of developing on its own as long as it was given time, the time was supposed to be long. But until now, it has only been 18 years.
Anyway, the worst part of this is the fact that the monster, the only monster that I had remaining was killed by that monster that attacked the village today.
During the time that I was facing the attack of that flaming lion, I was obviously incapable of blocking the attack. It was my monster that sacrificed itself in order to save me.
But considering that it was not powerful enough, it was not capable of surviving the flames of that flaming lion, and it perished. After all, it was only a 2-star-monster.
With the death of that monster, I suffered yet another internal injury from the backlash of losing a monster under my control. That is the reason why my injuries were extremely worse even after the monster sacrificed its life in order to protect me."
Samuel's father explained, but Samuel was totally confused at this point. He did not understand much as compared to how confused he was. After all, if his father was that strong, then how was it possible that he had been injured? Just who had injured him?
Additionally, who was it that wanted to exploit his abilities? Leave that aside, what abilities did he possess? He was just ordinary, completely ordinary. After all, even if he went to hunt wild animals in the wild, the only used the ordinary methods.
So far, he had never experienced anything that showed that he was extra ordinary in any way. But now, his father was clearly claiming that the reason why they were here was simply because he was to be hidden.
And just as he was wondering about that, his father continued.
"I understand that you have so many questions in your mind right now. But I hope that you don't focus on them for the time being. You will naturally find the answers later on.
I would like you to leave this village together with the children. My time in this world is coming to an end, as it is impossible for me to be able to survive after this attack. The internal injuries that I suffered from the first attack, including the loss of my monsters, it is impossible for me to be able to recover.
You have to find a place for those kids. Find a place and make sure that they are safe. As for yourself, you have to find a method of becoming a beast tamer. As long as you head to a city, you will definitely be able to access the methods of becoming a beast tamer.
And when your strength is good enough, you will naturally be able to gain all the answers. In fact, you will not have to go around looking for them, the answers will naturally come looking for you.
I had initially thought that it was a good idea to hide you here, but it seemed that I was wrong. If I had not hidden you in this village, and allowed you to develop, by now, you would have definitely been powerful enough to be able to protect yourself.
But there is nothing that I can change, I just hope that after you get out of this village, you kids get to a city, and find a method of surviving.
Just as I have said, with you getting stronger, you will definitely get the answers. As for the abilities that you possess, you will come to know of them as time goes on."
Samuel was still confused. But even then, he decided to listen to what his father had said. He did not really care much about the part where his father had said that he was not going to survive.
As a son, it was obviously impossible for him to allow his father to die. So, he simply responded, "I will get you guys out of this village. As long as we get to the city, I do believe that we will be able to find people that will be capable of treating your injuries. Even if you cannot regain your combat power, at least, you will be able to survive."
That was what Samuel was thinking. To him, it really did not matter if his father was really a beast tamer or not. To him, his father was his only family. He had been with his father as long as he could remember.
It was obviously impossible for him to allow the only family that he had other than those kids out there to die. So, he decided that he was going to find a method of healing his father.
Since the city was where technology was located in, then, he was going to look for that technology. He believed that if the technology was as his father had claimed it to be, then it would definitely enable his father to be able to recover.
But Samuel's father shook his head. He said, "You have to understand Samuel. I know myself. I have already been out there. Even though it has already been over a decade ever since I went out, I know that with the injuries that I suffered, it is impossible for me to be able to be healed.
Actually, it is not that it is impossible, considering that the methods of healing me are available. But with the current situation that the two of us are in, it is impossible for us to be able to access those methods.
With you not being a beast tamer, not even having any currency that can be used, it is obviously impossible to purchase those methods. Additionally, I don't really have enough time to be able to travel from this village all the way to the city. I only- Cough! Cough!"
Before Samuel's father could finish what he was saying, he suddenly began coughing violently. At the same time, as he coughed, blood could be seen at the corners of his mouth.
At this point, Samuel could not help but panic. He immediately tried looking for something that he could give his father, but realized that in this village, there was nothing that could be used in such a situation.
As he was still struggling, trying to see if there was something that could be used, despite knowing that there was none, his father suddenly held his hand.
Looking at his father's eyes that looked at him with hope, Samuel stopped looking around. He understood that his father had something to say.
"I'm pretty sure that you are curious about your mother. Don't worry. You will come to know about your mother later on. The only thing that you need to do at this point is to focus on developing.
Don't let your thoughts go astray. You just have to develop, get stronger, and everything will be revealed." Samuel's father stated.
The moment that he finished speaking, the hand that was holding Samuel's suddenly released it as it collapsed onto the ground.
Samuel was immediately hit with sorrow. He understood that his father had passed away, especially after he confirmed that his father's heart was no longer beating.
Samuel ended up mourning the death of his father silently. But in his heart, he was obviously filled with anger. He vowed, he was definitely going to look for the answers to the questions that he was having.
The day that he would come to find the information about those people that had attacked his father, leading to the current situation that his father was in, he would definitely not forgive them.
After a while, Samuel went ahead and dug a deep hole. He buried his father deep into the ground, just to ensure that the wild animals would not find his body and eat it.
After that, he organized the group of children, and they left the village for the very first time in their lives. And this was the start of a new journey. As for what waited for him outside the village, it remained unknown.
