The Ancient Beast Tamer Bloodline

It had been an entire month ever since Samuel and the group of children from the village arrived in this city. They were hosted by William, the middle-aged man that found them in the forest.

Reti city turned out to be completely different from the village that Samuel and the children had gotten used to. Everything here was way more advanced as compared to the village.

Just as his father had told him, the city was on a completely different level as compared to the village. Things such as travels were all simplified in such a way that they just had to sit inside metals that were connected in a special way, and they would be able to get to their destination faster.

Additionally, the buildings here were extremely tall as compared to those that were constructed in the village. The buildings here were extremely strong, made with some kind of material that he did not know.

Simply put, the experience that some will and the other children had been experiencing for the past month was the same as that over a person coming from the village for the first time, and entering a giant city.

Regardless, within this one month, Samuel had finally understood many things. Even though his father had explained to him about beast tamers, the information was obviously not detailed enough.

But during the one month that he had been within this city, he understood many things about beast tamers. His father had told him that he had been a 7 star beast tamer.

It was only after he had gained the information that he finally understood how difficult it was for a person to be able to advance into a 7 star beast tamer. It was not that easy, and only the geniuses could make it to that level.

And the genius is only consisted of those that could control at least two monsters. As for those that could control only a single monster, it would only be due to luck that they would be able to reach the seven star level.

As for the powers within this city, Samuel understood that the one who held the highest authority was only a three-star beast tamer. That was the ruler of the city, the one that controlled the entire city and the powerhouses within it.

As for William, he also held considerable power, considering that he was actually a two-star beast tamer. He was amongst the few that were just below the city ruler level.

The categorization of the power levels was not only related to the star level, but instead, each star level was divided into four more levels. This included the initial, mid, late and finally the peak phase.

William was currently in the peak of the two star level. He was just a little distance away from reaching the three star level. It was just that it was not that easy for him to be able to break through from one star level to another.

That was the exact reason why he had been venturing inside the forest, trying to Hunt for monsters, to find a method of advancing the level of the monsters that he controlled.

And during the time that he had been here, Samuel came to know that once a monster was controlled, it was no longer being referred to as a monster, but instead, as a beast. That was the title given to the monsters that were being controlled by the humans, to avoid confusion.

William had been providing the necessary for both Samuel and the children, of which Samuel was thankful. He thought that if there was a chance, and if what his father had said was the truth, then he would definitely find a chance of repaying William for this.

After all, Samuel understood that if they had actually arrived at this city, if they had actually survived the monsters in the forest, they would have no place to go. And, it was not that easy for them to be able to get the currency that was used here.

In any case, today was going to be a special day. As for why that was the case, it was simply because today was a day that Samuel was going to join other youths in order to try and control a monster.

Coincidental as it was, the event that only took place once each year, was going to happen during this month. And if Samuel had come later on, he would have definitely missed this chance, and would have to wait until the following year in order to get the chance of becoming a beast tamer.

"Hey Samuel, it is time. Let's get going, the earlier we get there, the better it is. The number of people that want to become beast tamers is extremely high, and the population there is always high. We don't want to queue up for a long time." Just as Samuel was thinking about the events that had happened in the past month, Williams voice suddenly reached him from outside the door of the room that was allocated to him.

He took a deep breath, and stood up. Currently, he was wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. He headed straight outside the room, and found that William was waiting for him.

William looked at Samuel and smiled as he patted Samuel's shoulder while saying, "You don't have to be nervous. Becoming a beast tamer is something that everyone in the world yearns for. But of course, this is something that is related to fate, and not just anybody can become a beast tamer because they want to.

You don't have to be nervous at all, because if you have to be a beast tamer, you will become one. And even if you cannot become a beast tamer, I will take care of you and the other children."

Samuel looked at William with a grateful expression on his face. At the same time, he responded, "I understand."

Looking at Samuel's expression that was currently calm, William nodded. Then he said, "Even though you are going to be the oldest amongst the group that is going to awaken and become beast tamers, you don't have to worry. You are currently 19 years old, and even if you fail becoming a beast tamer this year, we can try it next year and see if something has changed."

Samuel nodded. He understood that people would immediately try becoming beast tamers at the age of 15. And, those that could actually become beast tamers at the age of 15 was quite low, but each and every one of them was a genius.

The majority of the people that could become beast tamers would become this timers at the age of 16 and above. But of course, the higher the age of the person, the lower the probability of them becoming geniuses would be.

And considering that Samuel was currently 19 years old, it was clear that the probability of him becoming a genius was going to be extremely low. But that was just the situation within this city.

This city had never produced a genius of a high level. Only a few geniuses had been produced, but the moment that they became geniuses, they would be poached away by other forces from outside this city.

Even though the people within the city did not want the geniuses to be taken away, they did not have the ability of resisting. Additionally, they understood that if the geniuses remained within this city, they would not be able to grow to their full potential.

As helpless as they were, they had no other choice but to allow the geniuses to go out and develop. The good thing was the fact that those geniuses did not forget about the city where they had grown up.

They would occasionally show up after they had grown, and they would bring benefits to the city. It was just that till this day, none of the geniuses had risen to a higher level that would be extremely beneficial for the city beyond the current level.

In any case, even if Samuel did not become a genius, he would definitely be able to become stronger as long as he was a beast tamer. William was willing to provide the necessary resources for him to develop, allowing him to be able to reach the two star level.

The two of them immediately set off inside the car that was owned by William. Judging from the looks that they were receiving by the people along the road was clear that this car was more than it looked.

Samuel was not really sure about the features that were possessed by this car, but he understood that William's status within this city was obviously high.

About an hour later, they finally arrived at the area where people would undergo the ceremony where they would try making a pact with the monsters, and try being beast tamers.

The entire venue was bustling with people, considering that this event was something that involved people from all over the city. And despite the two of them coming a little early, it was clear that some people had already arrived here even before the two of them departed.

The venue was a huge arena, where the parents and relatives of the people that would have come to become beast tamers would be sitting in the spectators seats around the huge arena in the middle.

As for those that were going to undergo the awakening, they would be undergoing the procedure in the middle of the arena.
