The Crown's Mundane

Chapter 88: In debt to a stranger

Della had returned into the arena after turning off her cooking pot. She sat next to her sister while the two men sat next to each other.

Adalyn munched happily on her popcorn wondering what was going on when it finally begun the slaughtering

Alvah knew this was very similar to what he had gone through during his evaluation test and thought to himself how many lives have been lost because of this guy called Quilan.

Alvah's rage couldn't be controlled and sipped through into the atmosphere. He was the only one and any infernal that can be permitted to waste this amount of lives but a fellow human like himself.

The death of Leona wasn't worth all this amount of lives. Because of Alvah's, he triggered Kian. He deft to look at Alvah with an intense gaze and he pondered to himself who is this guy with this Aura.

This similar energy somehow found it's way to Quilan and oh did his eyes get shot wide open. He quickly traced with his eyes to this familiar energy.

He looked Soo desperate seeking for Alvah with voices echoing in the background, kill him. Axai, Zayden and zale where no were to be found around him. He looked like a lonely wolf looking for lost sheeps to devour.

"Let's go" Alvah spoke speedily. They all glanced at him. Kian was already looking at him. " We can't afford to waste much time here we have a journey ahead. And this movie isn't for kids" He looked at the poor adalyn with stuffed popcorn in her mouth enjoying the scenery although she didn't understand anything.

" I agree, but where are we headed?" Kian asked Alvah. Alvah shot him a look of confusion but he was curious. " Why do you intend to come with us?"

" I don't know, maybe I want to see the end of this story and who the lovely princess Della gets to choose as her suitor" He leaned ahead and gave her a cute smile.

What the hell was he doing right now, was he opening flirting with her. Did he begin to drive joy from doing this to her.

" No way we are leaving with him, we are better off as a trio" She mockingly smiled at him.

" But he knows the way better than we do" Alvah said to her. He had made his calculations and getting lost wasn't an equation at the moment. He would rather journey with a stranger whom he could kill afterwards if he attempts anything on the two girls than run in circles like a child in the park.

" Alvah!" Della called his name but he responded with "let's go" he patted Kian on the thigh and they both stood up.

Kian took Adalyn by the arm and they walked out of there. Della kept looking at Alvah in disbelief, was he going to get them sold to a slave trade with this move.

Getting lost in her own thoughts, Alvah had his last glare on Quilan. He knew damn well in his heart if he stayed any further he would be tempted to pull up a fight right here with Quilan and promises to kill him just to tell Zillah the story but he was taking too much time to go home and Lord knows what's going on in Zillahs life.

On his way out, Quilan alas got his scent, he keened his eyes a little more and yes they crossed eyes with each other. Quilan had never felt Soo thirsty to kill in a while until he set his eyes on Alvah once again. Alvah smirked darkly at him before leaving and a host of people covered Quilans sight of him.

Quilan smirked back and murmured, " we will meet again and soon Alvah"

Alvah was outside with Della. Kian guided let's take the left road. " The left road?" Della questioned. Kian looked back at her " Not down Della" he sister spoke from below looking at her with a tired expression.

" I'm just asking, he's a stranger after all, we have to know where we are and you have to tell us every detail of each street we pass" She ordered him.

"Would you pay him to do that?" Her sister asked. Della replied boldly " My husband to be willing. He will reward you if your great service to his wife"

" A wife to be, in debt to a stranger?, what a fantastic impression" Alvah asked her with an almost expressionless face.

" You aren't indebted to me, this is too petty". Kian answered to her. " Let's not further delay ourselves then let's go" he said and they all took off.

Midway, Kian got somewhat invested in Della and Adalyns life. " Where did you say your village is again?" He asked investigatively. Adalyn responded " it's the blacksmith's village, and you should know already they work with iron already "

" Do you get involved in heavy tasks sometimes?" He asked further

" Yes I do, we both do , she pointed at her sister behind ". Kian looked at her and suddenly he saw through Della and how stressed she was about not just her unforeseen marriage but her lifestyle.

" Our dad makes us work hard and I Carry out some duties in a fun way to help but my sister thinks I do too much" Adalyn said this in a hurtful voice because she never felt her sister was being appreciative of her stride and effort despite her freaking young age.

They had gone a little far than Della who had stopped after she heard what her little sister said and she felt Soo evil. The way she treated her sister, that was 4, she felt Soo cruel.

They all stopped to look back at her and she had teary eyes. " What's wrong sister?" Adalyn said letting go of kians hand and walking over to her sister.

Della rushed over to her, crouching to her height and hugged her dear loving Little sister tightly. " I... I... Don't ever treat you well like an elder sister should, she sniffed. I am Soo mannerless I can't get me a man"

" And adalyn, you... You always fight to push me away, to get married, who would stay with you then huhn", she pulled her away from the hug looking into her eyes.

Adalyn was already in tears. " Why would you push the only girl you can wake up in the morning to see away from your life just because you want her to get married".

Adalyn cut her short with the most heart breaking words she had ever heard " Because you've suffered since you were a kid and now you're 20"

Della looked at her sister in shock. " That's...that's... adalyn counted on her little fingers, that's 15 years isn't it? You probably started as early as 4 didn't you?

"Why do you want to add extra years ?. It's my turn to begin and maybe I might get married early too so I can leave early. That's why I want you to go" she bursted in tears and hugged her sister.

What did her 4 Year old sister know about marriage and suffering when she should be eating ice cream and getting stuffed with ponies and chocolates.
