The Crown's Mundane

Kian and Alvah were dumbfounded. Aren't this girls too young to be carrying out these kinds of tasks. Kian was worried to death.

Alvah as usual couldn't feed an expression out of himself.

They both shared a heartfelt moment hugging each other tightly. Soon after she sat on the rough woods cuddling Adalyn . Alvah and Kian didn't know what to do anymore.

Should they interrupt the two girls. Kian took a good look at them and for sure they look exhausted of life, although they were both beautiful, they didn't seem to be in a better situation.

Few hours passed they all took a rest but the two girls had dozed off together. Alvah couldn't handle this calmly any longer. He stood up from the grasses headed to the both of them when Kian stopped him .

" Let's Carry them instead" . That sounded like a good idea to him. He was about to take Della's hands when Kian spoke "I'll carry her, you take Adalyn".

Alvah knew he was more powerful in strength compared to Kian and he wouldn't get tired, would Kian be able to survive all evening and it was already getting dark.

" It's okay I'll take her with me" he reassured Alvah and he could only nod.

Kian released Della's arm slowly from her sister and Alvah got a grip of Adalyn. He lifted her up swiftly in his arms soothing her from the back, he stroked her gently.

Kian took Della's hand and wrapped it around his neck and carried her up gently. He looked into her asleep eyes like he could see through her with their nose almost touching.

Alvah saw this and acted like a monument. "Where exactly are we headed?" He asked Kian. He responded to Alvah, " The fire district"

Alvah asked curiously "how many districts are there?"

"Do you really want to go there this hour?" He replied with a question. Alvah replied nothing and they both took off.

"It's a far trip but we can make it" he said to Alvah as if perceiving he was impatient. " Can you take this two girls with you?"

Kian looked at him although in the dark. He was surprised at alvah's statement. "Why?" He asked simply.

"If this is going to take days long, I have somewhere to be" Alvah replied to him

" Where exactly do you have to be?" He asked Alvah. This got Alvah enraged a bit " do you think I'm homeless?" Was his reply.

" If we want this trip to be Shorter, we'll take a really bad road is that safe for the girls?"

" We'll climb trees" Alvah responded expressionlessly and Kian bursted in laughter. His voice echoed in the lonely forest and Alvah looked at him provoked

" Did you hear that?" Alvah asked him. " What was that?" He asked Alvah slightly intrigued" I think your last brain cells just echoed".

Kian laughed and felt weak in the knees. " Alvah we can go a bit faster if we would carry the girls, because they would delay us if they walked.

Their voices were supposedly loud, this got Della to strain her eyes waking up. She got a lovely manly scent in her nose and her head placed gently on a hard chest that suited her head perfectly like it was structured.

She saw her arms wrapped around a neck and for a brief moment she wanted to fantasize but if romance till It hit her the type of men she was with. She opened her eyes widely and when she recognized his perfect jaw line and facial structure looking down at her. She was a strawberry

She shook herself from him, loosening his grip on her and he dropped her. " Why... Did you do that?" Della asked him almost confused

"Because if we have to arrive early, we have to move faster and big guy here has a home" Kian explained to her.

" Della is it possible to go with him?" Alvah's asked hopelessly

" Alone" she screamed when her voice echoed, she covered it with her hands. " No, I don't trust him she whispered lightly"

Kian felt a bit hurt in the chest " why don't you trust me, but you trust Alvah. Do you have any idea who he is?"

This question caught Alvah in two ways, either that he was a complete stranger to the two girls or that he is actually a dangerous person to these two girls and Kian himself.

"I don't care, she looked at Alvah " please don't leave us, my sister would not be happy with that decision "

" Then let's get moving" Alvah ordered " Get on his back " he was referring to kian

She pulled no argument if she needed Alvah to stay with them. She moved closer to Kian asking for a piggy back instead.

" I won't do that " he said. " Why won't you?" She asked with a raised brow

" Where I come from we carry women elegantly. I wouldn't carry you in that way" he said firmly.

Alvah wasn't responding to any drama, he was focused. She finally got on him and he carried her in the previous style with a flirty grin on his face.

She sighed at him looking in another direction.

After a few kilometers, Kian said " I know a hotel near by, I would get us rooms there". They both nodded at him

When they arrived, it was a small hotel. He went over to speak with the manager himself.

Coming back he had 2 keys with him.

" They were only 2 rooms left" He gave one to Alvah taking the other one.

"Why don't you give us a key?" She was referring to her and her sister. But he ignored her question leaving them to go order some food.

Alvah went to the room he had the key to and opened the door. He walked in, gently putting the weak adalyn on the bed.

"Are you alright? You haven't spoken since you woke up?" . You're hungry?" He asked her and she kept a sad face.

He sighed "Kian is bringing some dishes okay".

Kian walked into the room with the waiters behind him. When they got in they settled the dishes on the table but it wasn't big enough.

They took some plates towards the bed serving the hungry little kid. And adalyn helped with some dishes.

They had left the moment they were done and Kian closed the door shut, he locked it too.

Della was curious why he was overly insecure but they would only call her trouble if she said anything.

Alvah didn't eat much of the food. Della and adalyn stuffed their belly full and they were some left overs.

Kian requested for some staffs and he walked over to the door opening the lock and the waiters took the dishes away.

" Why did you order that much food?" Della asked with a fulfilled smile on her face. For the first time he had actually seen her smile since they met.

"Because I wanted to put a smile on your face" Kian answered.

Alvah grinned wide with his perfect set of teeth at this flirt line. Kian grinned at him like they both planned it but they didn't. Adalyn giggled tucking in herself to sleep cause she could not waste the little energy she had conserved on these people.

Della found herself smiling at his words. And they all heard a word forbidden in Della's dictionary. " Thank you " Kian didn't expect that but he was grateful deep down.

He stood up walking over to her
