Chapter 91: I need an extra room
But that didn't mean he should be reckless. He entered the room looking at little Adalyn, she was sleeping calmly with steady breathing.
He walked to the bed and attempted to pick her up when Della woke up from her short meditation. " I'll go with you to your room, I mean, the room" She came down from the window frame, the wind lifted her hair and it covered part of her face and Kian had the urge to help her move her hair to the side but she did it herself.
She waved Alvah goodnight with a slight wave looking at her sister " take care of her" she whispered with a smile. Alvah didn't respond to her, he locked the door as they both walked out. Kian stood at the door looking at her from behind. Her gown had exposed a bit of her curves from behind and her back figure looked just as amazing as her face card, was he in a trance why couldn't he move his body.
She opened the door to the room and entered. She looked behind her but Kian wasn't there. She sighed and took the blanket. Looking at the time, it was past 11. She knew she wouldn't get enough sleep and it would affect her the next day.
The door opened and she heard heavy footsteps towards the bed. She frowned but she didn't look at kian to prove she was already asleep.
He held the blanket and before he could pull it, she heard a loud sound and when she was forced to open her eyes she saw a huge man and he was about to fall on top of her when she moved quickly towards the other side. She was frightened by what happened, who was the strange man in the bedroom.
He fell on the bed and she quickly stood with her heart running a marathon and her eyes wide open, she was dumbstruck. What was this huge man doing in the room.
She looked at Kian and he walked to her taking her hands. He saw that she looked irritated at the scene and she would not be able to sleep here anymore.
He went to the receptionist. He rung the bell a few seconds someone came in attendance. " Sorry what do you need dear pr... I mean Sir". Della looked confused, was it a mere salutation or the policy, why was a commoner like him addressed formally.
" I need an extra room". He requested without hesitation, it was more like an order.
" We are very sorry and displeased to tell you, we do not have an extra room Sir, our apologies". He bowed slightly. Was he doing too much Della thought to herself looking at Kian.
She heard a loud groan from behind and she shifted a bit closer to Kian when she saw a strange tattered looking man coming out of a room. She squeezed his hand tightly getting his attention. He looked at her hand and looked in her direction.
He held her by the waist placing her in front of him and she could feel his body on hers and she instantly felt warm and safe. She looked up at him and he looked down at her, "don't worry I'll get us another room". He rubbed her softly in assurance and she had goosebumps.
" Get me another room" he looked at the receptionist and it looked like his mood had changed to what could cause a havoc here.
"Excuse me Sir" the receptionist ran as fast as he could inside to get his manager as the situation at hand was becoming advance.
The manager came out almost immediately, " I apologize very much my pr... Kian coughed loudly as if stopping the man from saying what he had to say. " I...sir ...we did not expect this sudden arrival but... but there is an empty room we could fix up for you".
" Be quick about it" . He replied to the scared manager. " Yes... Yes we will". He quickly organized 5 staffs to get the room upstairs to be cleaned very neatly more than it has before in the history of the foundation of this hotel.
" Come" he was still in physical contact with Della guiding her to the waiting room before the staffs would be done.
All that did not escape Della and she was lost in grave thought. " Why do they address you like you're someone in a high position?" She asked not beating about and hitting the nail.
He coughed before replying " I guess it's just the hotel policy and bad customer service ", He shrugged. " Normally stories I've heard about and read, this only happens when it's a prestigious being coming to a lowlife area and he forces everyone to get him the best treatment and convenience like it's their fault he arrived at a hotel late at night " she said laughing at the similar coincidence
He giggled at her silly thought. " You're Soo delusional you know that?"
" I am not, I just..." She stopped in her words. " Youre just what?" He asked tilting closer to her.
" Nothing". The couch was soft and fluffy so she laid on it. " I need to sleep, it's already too late and tomorrow will be hectic for us".
He held her by the legs indicating that she should lay on his thigh instead for better support. She was hesitant but she did so.
He tucked her hair behind her ears stroking it gently subconsciously his hands moved from her shoulders to her waist pulling her closer to him.
She was still awake and she wondered why he was doing that. As if he heard her thoughts " let me warm you up a bit, it gets more cold in the night". He said with a gentle smile.
There wasn't a blanket near by either so she understood. She quickly nodded at his words and she felt surprisingly really warm and before she knew it she had dozed off.
