Chapter 90: Now or Never
"Let's go to the room" Kian took her slender fingers
" Wait"... She smiled at Alvah. "No way I'm going to the same room with you she nodded side to side". She took his arms off her
" I thought we were just bonding " he said with a glint of sadness in his eyes. " I'll stay with my sister I won't stay with you". She said getting up and walking over to the bed.
" This place is too dangerous to stay with your sister all alone Della" he was genuinely concerned about her but she wasn't getting it.
" Why else did you bring us to this sorto hotel then?" She asked him folding her arm. " It's past ten and you speak like you have better choices" he was getting furious at her and Alvah felt a very much familiar energy and it was stronger than he felt before.
" I'd rather stay with my sister still, maybe Alvah could stay with us" she looked at him not giving Alvah the chance to choose for himself.
" You have no idea who this man is do you really? " He was angered that she left her guard Soo loose to believe someone she just met, entrusted her future and her life to him.
Alvah smirked darkly at Kian. " What's your problem with Alvah? " She enraged back at him. " Besides I met him because of my sister, she was the one always talking about a friend so yes Alvah is a friend and you are?" She was Soo loud Kian could bet that the next room knew their entire privacy.
Kian stormed the room with his aura filling the entire place. And everyone knew who this Aura belonged to. He left with a bang on the door to the other room with Alvah watching him exit.
Alvah took a glance at Della. " Why are you Soo daring ?" He asked her still looking at the door. " I am not daring I am just not easily swayed and as a girl I think it's a good defense mechanism " Her answer made a lot more sense to him.
She was a girl after all how would she just trust him just because he's leading her footsteps. Besides he could be misleading them. Alvah had a strong feeling if he weren't here, she would have never taken this step and she did it for her sister who persuaded her seriously.
None of this was her decision, her only decision here was to get married. Leaving her village, being acquainted with Alvah, finding a husband in the outskirts and refusing her father, all this was never her but them who pushed her over.
Alvah understood her and didn't question further, she had to stand her ground. But something triggered Alvah deeply. Why was Kian speaking about Alvah in a strange way.
" I'll be back" Alvah took steps leaving the room. He walked over to the other room were Kian was. He opened the door looking at Kian who was Soo frustrated with his fingers running through his hair.
The door slowly slammed and Kian looked up at Alvah who put on a little grin on his face.
Kian frowned deeply at Alvah. " I thought we were bonding" Alvah said to him referring to him and Alvah. They were both getting along and friendly with each other but a hidden emotion of anger almost found it's way to the surface.
" Do you have a problem with me?" Alvah asked him very curiously. " Besides being a stranger to them, what else?"
" We both know that you're hiding something Alvah. Maybe you are maybe you're not 'evil' " he said looking at Alvah in the eye.
Alvah looked at him with intense gaze. " Do we want to speak about what we both think about ourselves or...?" Alvah at this point was ready to spill everything and he was willing to if Kian was willing.
" I'm not pleased with that suggestion" He replied to Alvah. " But tell me you mean absolutely no harm to these girls " Kian was ever so serious with Alvah.
" Just because you assume me to be who you think I am which I may or may not be, doesn't mean you know me beyond what you see Kian ". Alvah made it crystal clear to him. He might be dark and mysterious but he never thought harming those girls
" Why are... You know what... they are the ones who chose you and I cannot change that. Besides after this whole marriage we won't cross paths again ".
" For sure" Alvah agreed. " I don't hate you. I don't hate you Alvah. You're the most similar person to me I've ever met". Their energy were a lot similar than he thought and undeniable he wanted to know more but he knows Alvah would never open up to him.
Alvah took a seat beside him. " We both want to say something but we won't do. So let's change the topic". " Do you like Della?" His reactions these few days were obviously that of someone who has feelings. Turns out he might have some undeniable feelings that subconsciously finds it's way whenever he reacts.
" Della... Della is really pretty I mean. Her personality is certainly not my problem. She's a good girl so yeahh, I do".
" Are you interested in marriage though?". Alvah asked deeply.
" Not for now. She looks like she needs one at the moment so I should let go". The way he spoke made Alvah think had this man had been thinking about this for a while now.
" Oh shit, the girls". They both stood up heading to the room. Kian opened the door and he saw Della sitting by the window looking into the night sky. She had changed into a silk, above knee length night gown to feel free and enjoy the night breeze while she changed her sister into a little shorts and tank top.
Kian was awestruck at her beauty. She looked at peace and for a brief moment he felt like he was the one adding more chaos in her life. Alvah looked at him from behind and oh did he feel more annoyed remembering that Zillah had been waiting for his return and he wasn't there for her.
He clenched his arms into a fist pushing Kian inside, Kian turned around looking at him. " Now or never" Alvah said and Kian clearly understood him.
