The dreamer: Adventure in MHA(Previously MHA x The Backrooms)

Chapter 61: Just a small conversation

A few hours of riding on one of the trolleys he created, which were looping back and forth from level to level. Rain began pouring down, it was such a vibe the calming sound, which somehow made him feel tired, even if he didn't use too much of his power, he felt more human like, thirst, hunger and the other bodily needs. The trolley was empty allowing him to just enjoy the quietness that the frontrooms lacked to some degree. He felt comfortable, maybe he could add a new room for himself a trolley house. A nice thing to have, and the nicest part, he was going to get to see what was happening in between levels. But there was a small problem intruders... Unless.

He looked over to the control room of the trolley and thought of making a special design just for himself, a single trolley that would travel. But he saw the flaw of the randomness and the odd of it not appearing again, since the vast size of the levels, except his limited comfort bubble. It was nothing compared to infinity, but 'if there is something in infinity, doesn't it practically also make it infinite?' He thought to himself, it actually seemed like it, the universe is infinite for him, he can't actually bound himself to a size, because compared to infinity one loses their meaning in size. He made himself a small key that transforms the controller room into a small packed room with all there is he needs, a small fridge, a couch like bed, and such... Then he remembered another fellow creator and that telepathic communication she somehow pulled out, even he could do this, and he was practically the summary as his card calls him... But the summary of what, the backrooms as a whole or a piece of it. Maybe he can find comfort in philosophy by talking to her, she seemed like a smart woman, so why not use some brain power with someone who knows what they are talking about. He thought he could share with her how his journey in the frontrooms has been going.

And so he reached his hand through reality and grabbed the book he was given, even if he was somewhat tired, and rubbed the tip of his finger on her signature.

And so he fell backwards and noclipped into her level, the moment he set foot in this maze of a library, he felt a strange feeling of familiarity. There was just something in the air that was making him feel smart, as if his head was taking in information... At least it's not depleting his sanity.

"Welcome Etheral!" Blanche said, it seemed as if she just appeared there, but it wasn't much of a surprise, since he was also capable of doing this... but on a much larger scale. "Hello Blanche, it's nice to see you again..." Eth replied with a friendly tone, his facial expression showed delight or something else similar.

"I'm glad to see you in person. Would you take upon an offer for a cup of tea?" Blanche asked walking towards him, before shaking his hand.

"Sure, But what is such an act without a story or two, or a nice book to read." He asked pulling out the book and giving it to her. He seemed to express himself as if this is a stage act. "Thank you Etheral, I will lead you to the guest room before I brew us both a cup of tea."

"You are welcome, dear." He said pulling out the reversal on her and using her own way of calling the reader of the web page or her guests. He looked around her office and saw a portrait of her, and signature. Someone else's, he felt a hype over it, more creators in the backrooms, books and now painting, and of course the architecture by himself. "Blanche before we go, I see there are more creators in the backrooms except us..." He said looking at the painting and leaning forward to read it. "E. Isle" Though this wasn't the only thing that caught his attention, just like that unfinished book... "comfort foods" were just two of the words he read. Were they for her? Was there something more deeper to her character that just this comforting smile and this friendly attitude radiating from her? And then philosophy... when he thought of such concept he wasn't a believer in books, since philosophy was just a way that the thoughts flow into someone's individual truth. "Yes, River is one of them." Blanche replied unaware that with just a few glimpse his interest to dig into her character grew immensely. "This name seems familiar..." He said without a clue of where this name came from, and why it seemed to stick with him.

"Oh? Do you know her?" Blanche asked, yet the way his tone presented the words seemed to confuse her.

"No, haven't heard of her... Deja vu maybe or something like that. But there is a question, what are your thoughts on Deja vu? How do you think living organisms sense it?" He asked litting her mind a flame, as she began theorizing. "Well there are many theories actually, but I'm not sure which are more believable."

'What is deja vu is a resonance between each version of oneself?' Eth thought to himself. "I have seen a lot in such short while... Like the... I'm not... actually sure how to call it." He said opening a portal and showing her what's inside, portals that slowly fade into the distance. After that he closed as she began leading him while they continued talking. Theorizing, but he felt like he lacked the knowledge needed to come to a clear point. As they continued walking, he somehow brought up a theory about alternative universes, because of that glimpse of his other versions. And those portals weren't mirrors, maybe... "Like there is something so cool about those universes, yet we see somehow only one of them. What if there was something bounding us here? No not only that, if my void is infinite and has this many portals, doesn't this mean that there are infinite amount of them." He added to his theory, furthermore proving a point of sort.

"Yeah, it does seem like it." She said before they reached a door which she opened for him. "Oh no, ladies first."

"No it's alright, you are my guest after all." Blanche said holding her free hand close to her chest and shaking it left and right.

"I insist. From a creator to another creator I show my respect to you, also I didn't bring anything to this household, this will serve for a lesson, I could have brought some curious cuisine from the frontrooms."

Blanche's face with which she denied his offer to allow her to go first, grew into a satisfied smile as she chuckled. "Alright, if you insist." She said walking before him, he followed her into the room closing the door behind him. "Make yourself comfortable while i prepare things, would you dear?"

"Of course, I have a few stories to share, so I believe we will be enjoying this meeting plenty." Etheral said as he sat down at the table and waited patiently.

After a bit she was finished with preparing the stuff, and handed them to the table, as she sat opposite of him she asked "So, what would you like share with?"

"So, let's begin from the start." He said as he summarized how he got in the situation of attending the entrance exam. "As I entered there was a rush of a crazy feeling, or at least that's how I could explain it. Are you aware of those organiguns? I created myself an actual RPG. It traces a little while back, when I realized I could alter the physics of my own body, sadly that can't be said to everything else at will. And I am actually happy about it, because if that was another part of my kit that is infinite, it would have been really boring." He said as he continued on and on until he finally got to the part where he created an update of his level, making it feel more nice and calming. "I added more adjustments to my own level with the ziplines, out of the range of trolleys, of course I added one course which had obstacles which went over the trolley, just for that extra adrenalin like feeling. People could enjoy some nice challenges and the last of each course, oh it's the nicest part, it's something like a leap of faith. The trolley part is what is putting the limit on the level, since it's kinda half-half." He said, sighing as he felt as if he had written a novel with his words.

"A lot has happened since we last met, huh?" Blanche replied to the whole story. "Anyways... Oh man, my tea has gone cold." He said, his tone had nothing serious about it, he took a sip of the tea and was pleasantly surprised by how good this is. "For next time I'm bringing something from the frontrooms. What do you want, for me to bring?" Eth asked, placing his cup back down.

"I'm not really picky about it, anything is appreciated." She replied, her tone was filled with conviction.

Etheral nodded, before they continued on with conversations on various themes, philosophical questions, thard person viewing onto the stories they shared, mainly his because in battle there are more decisions that could make the outcome better. And any other, he shared his blue prints on the trolley and shared his plans. This continued on for a few more hours until Etheral few asleep as Blanche was preparing them some more tea.
