Chapter 66: Are you serious?!
Etheral rest there, slowly waking up as he felt as if he had held something, yet there was nothing. He felt good about himself, starting the day on a good note, as he stretched and felt like walking or exploring the backrooms, like the good old days. Though his mind was chaos then, he could only appreciate the fact that it allowed him to grow as a person.
He stood from the hammock and looked outside, it was raining snow, which meant that the lower parts of his creation had normal rain. He didn't change clothes when he got here, instead he fell asleep with all he had, a fedora hat he used to cast his eyes a shadow so he can sleep, and that outside clothes he calls hero outfit. He took a deep breath as he phased through the floor into the non-secret area of the hotel.
He walked out and took in the cold weather, before stepping into the snow and slowly making his way down, he didn't mind being rained upon, it felt nice, the light taps that he heard calmed him. It took him a few good minutes to get to the lower parts of the levels, but it was worth it, as he was met with the nice sound of little taps all around him, the sound of rain and the smell, such delight. But now he didn't know where to actually go, should he take random routs just like he did before.
In the end that was his last choice as he walked on the paths, before coming to one of the trolley stations and just his luck one was coming right away. So without much of a second thought he got on and rode on towards level 11. Though the rain sounds brought his mood down and made him feel lazy, he persisted, as not in every level there was rain. He waited... and waited... and waited... Until finally he reached level 11. From there he could plan his route in so many ways. When he could use a device to check where he can go. This reminded him of the idea of the logic breaking device. The one of his earlier plans. 'If I can make levels, what is stopping me from doing this?' He thought to himself, but this would require him to move from levels in his own strange way.
He sighed as he didn't felt like it so he continued on walking, maybe level 48. But searching for another sandy room would take some time, and he had just a day to do what he wants here... Nothing is actually stopping him...
He didn't know what to look for, exploration with the knowledge of where one goes, gives them the motive the move, but he didn't had a route just a chaotic mind, with the hope of something. So in the end he saw himself forced to make the spread out device, or just force it to work. By using mobile data from unknown source. He altered the entire being of the phone and how it should be acting, forcing the men made device into a something far superior. He looked into the backrooms. "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go... I have no idea where to go..." He said counting with each word which exit to take. "Level 171 it is then." He said as he read what the condition of entering it, before beginning his search. luckily for him it didn't took him much time to find it. "Well, time to unlock another page of information." He said to himself as he entered through the doors. He was greeted by a weird interior of golden age, yet it all looked so old, as if it were left out to catch dust. "Poor lighting, poor conditions, enough for a 1/5. Lemme see what the exits are..." He said as he looked into his phone, going from level 11's page to this one.
He opened and was confused at first as it seemed that there was no page, until he opened some restricted information, yet it wasn't restricted, a person just has to click on it and boom. He scrolled down and saw that there was no exit. "No way there is no exit." He said as he turned around to see that the door was gone... "Well, the nature of this level can suck it, i ain't dealing with it... Nothing personal." He added before tapping the walls of the level as if to say sorry to it. Before making a door and going back to level 11. "Nice first attempt... Maybe a random number would be better..." He said before searching for a random number. 22... The cathedral... Which he has already visited. "AGAIN!" 4... "Nice a level i haven't been in." it was level 30 that he was talking about. And so his search begins anew. A few more hours of walking around aimlessly and finally he found a glassy building, he judged it slightly before going it "Great design..."
The moment he entered he felt a strange sensation creeping on his back trying to grab onto his head. "..." He couldn't say why but this feeling was making him feel annoyed, as if a fly was buzzing around his ear.
"Probably a level phenomena..." He said, before using his will to bend the effect off him. He looked into the phone as he looked at the exits... "unknown... This is getting annoying..." He murmured to himself... He just looked down at the phone blankly, before looking back and seeing that there was no physical way for him to return to level 11. Should he let himself just go with it and walk around, he couldn't tell for himself, perhaps just rest a little. He just sat back and read the rest of the page. And then he realized, that feeling he felt on his back wasn't a phenomena, but a memory lurker. The thought that this little creature attempted to take control over him disgusted him in a way, and it surely brought his mood down, he looked up and saw it waiting for his command to not be attacked to be possibly removed, so it's will is released. 'If they can control someone's mind... and that card i have calls me the summary... Am i capable of doing it too?' He questioned it. "No, no..." He had a moral dilemma on that question, he wished that he can't do it... But it seemed that the evidence were pointing out, the name that he was called, his capabilities... Yet, there was one thing that he knew, his dimension... It wasn't a part of the backrooms.
He stood up, before summoning himself a pack of on the clouds, and smoking one. This might not be the best option, but sometimes... He just wished to accept his reality. He summoned himself a glass door that lead to level 11, the level was visible even if the door wasn't open and it made a really confusing picture. He went through it, before picking another number.
He felt better after the cigar was done, he made the rest of it vanish, and the number finally came out. Sewage... He took a deep breath, he didn't want to be touched by that water directly. He expected a dirty nightmare, which he despised the thought. But he accepted it, and looked to it from the side, before he summoned himself a hazmat suit, just for the occasion. He put it on and went over to the closest sewer grate and opening it up. He looked in his phone confirming that this is where he should go and... It wasn't, luckily for him. He hasn't read fully the conditions of entering.
But this piqued his curiosity, he made himself a mask as this exit would be easier for him to find and jumped in without a second thought. Ignoring this, he chose a random path, just to find a choice that would actually interest him... If there is such a level there might be something interesting that will come out of it. Like a high risk, high reward type of situation.
