The Executioner of Horror Films

Chapter 7: Away!

Away: Part one.

Mark plunged into the whirlpool of light again, his body was surrounded by a wave of cold air. When the light dissipated, he found himself in a gloomy house surrounded by an impenetrable forest. It was the world of the movie Away.

Looking around, Mark noticed antique interior items that caused a feeling of protractedness in the past. He didn't feel afraid - it was physiologically impossible. His mind was focused on one goal: to eliminate the threat emanating from Chris's girlfriend's family and protect him from betrayal.

Mark walked quietly through the corridors, hearing the sounds coming from the neighboring rooms. He understood that Chris had enough reasons to be wary, and knew that he needed to act quickly. Every rustle around could signal danger, so he was ready.

Approaching the door, he listened. Voices were heard from the inside. - You don't understand that he really is a chance for all of us, - said the woman, her tone like a spell foreshadowing trouble.

Mark carefully opened the door, and a lively feast opened to his eyes. Chris looked at his future father-in-law and mother-in-law, but there was a shadow of doubt in his eyes. They were too smiling, too friendly to be sincere.

Mark remained inconspicuous, but felt the need for intervention. He began to use telekinesis so that small objects in the room suddenly fell, creating a distracting noise. Chris, wary, reached for the idea of escape.

- You can't leave, - said the faw, his smile turning into a grin. - We're just getting started, Chris.

With waiting coldness, Mark thought about how to stop this man without attracting attention. Time worked against them. He knew that if he did not intervene now, the consequences could be devastating.

Chris glanced out the window and saw something moving in the forest, getting lost in the dark. His heart beat faster, Mark noticed it too. He believed that the best way to get Chris out of the attack was to make him believe that he had to act.

Focusing on telekinesis, Mark intensified his actions: he pulled an empty bottle off the floor and directed it straight to the table, forcing it to throw itself aside, as if it was trying to escape. The guests in the room broke away from the main conversation and began to look around.

- What's going on? - the woman asked, her voice changed. Now he sounded wary.

- It's just a wind, - the law parried with a laugh. - Let's not panic.

Mark knew that time did not wait. Using telekinesis, he pushes objects around and causing everyone to panic. He looked at Chris and realized that now he needed to make him get out.

- The alley is not your only option," he said, his voice was like a whisper, but Chris heard it. - You have to act now.

Focusing, Mark activated telekinesis. The windows opened, piercing the air, making everyone freeze for a moment with surprise. Chris, wary, instinctively stepped back.

"You won't leave us," said the father-in-law, raising his hands, filling them with sinister energy. It felt like he was ready to strike.

Mark wasn't going to let it happen. He used his powers, directing the flow of energy to knock objects off their places, creating obstacles. With the help of telekinesis, he controlled the surrounding space, the nearest chairs flew towards the villains.

Chris, seeing the chaos, gathered his strength and rushed to the exit. But then Mark stopped him.

- Don't go there. - he said coldly. - We have to calculate each step.

At that moment, the sound of footsteps was heard outside the door. Chris's heart beat faster. Without waiting for someone to come back, Mark used telekinesis again, creating a barrier on the way to the door.

We need to take control of the matter, it's dangerous here," he said. "I'll get rid of them.

Mark concentrated, creating invisible chains, connecting the actions of opponents. He felt the evil plan start to crack under pressure.

When the door opened, there were two people standing there - aunt and uncle, both with dangerous smiles. - We have a surprise for you, Chris. Do you think you could escape so easily?

Chris ran up to Mark in a panic, and he didn't hesitate. He used telekinesis to knock his mother-in-law off his feet and put her on the floor. Time slowed down when Mark focused on his enemies and felt their malice grow into a real threat.

"This is the end," he said calmly when silence reigned around, interrupted only by Chris's breath.

Mark understood that he had only one chance to stop this chaos once and for all and return Chris to normal life. Now he had to be careful and precise: evil would not be forgiven, and he was ready to eliminate all the threat.
