Chapter 9 The Talk of the Town
Noje Village 10:30am
Dante and Axle enter the village on horse back. They both stop in the middle of Noje Village and each climb off there horses. Dante's attire for the mission is a dashiki long sleeve shirt with a pointy high collar. His pants are of the slim baggy type the color being a light blue with a hint of light green. Now for Axle, his attire is a open vest jacket that's sleeveless with baggy dark red pants. Both brothers are wearing combat boots, Axle who typically wears combat boots often. Is wearing a red and black pair with four traps adorn on them. For Dante he usually doesn't wear such shoes but for this mission he's wearing dark blue and yellow combat boots with two traps on them. Now as the sun light shines on the towns beautiful stone and bamboo combination of architecture. Axle and Dante make there way through the town to find a horse stable to put there steads in. Axle then turns to Dante and says, once we find a stable to put our horses in, we will start to conversate with the people here to find out some intel.
Dante nods his head and says, ok with a confident look. The boys steadily walk through the town, until Dante turns his head to the left and says, Axe look! Dante points at a stable and says found one bro! With a smile on his face. Both turn there horses to the direction of the stable and briskly start to walk. Once there, Dante and Axle stop in front of a man who is sitting on a bucket. Axle looking serious as usual and says, how much for the stables? The older gentleman looks up at Axle and says, three rillo pieces each. Dante says three rillo pieces coming right up! Dante digs into his pockets and pulls out six shiny orange coins.
He then proceeds to hand over the coins. The man holds out his hands, Dante drops the coins in them and says, there you are sir! The older gentleman smiles and says, thank you young man! He then says, now you can use the stables! Dante gives a wide smile showing his teeth and says, thanks sir! Both boys then proceed to walk through the stable barn, to try and find any open spots. Suddenly, Axle looks to his right and spots two vacant spots. He trots over, meanwhile Dante is looking elsewhere; until he turns for a split second toward Axle. Dante dumbfounded running over and says, hey you could have told me you found a spot! Axle putting his horse in the stable and replies, I thought you were looking in the direction I was walking in. But never mind that! The bottom line is that I found us a spot. So park your horse and let's go ask the stableman some questions about the rumors going on around here.
Dante looking slightly irritated and says, sure okay. The boys start to walk back up to the front of the establishment. Still sitting on the bucket the older man turns and see's the boys walking up. The man looking at them and says, you boys find any empty stable spots? Axle replies, yes we did sir. The stableman says, well that's good, so where are you two boys headed in this here town? Dante scratching his head anxiously and says, um that's something we would like to ask you sir. The man looking confused and says, me? Axle stepping forward looming over the man looking down with a super intense gaze and says, we have some questions to ask you sir.
The older man looking up at Axle with fear and nervousness in his eyes and says, wha what can I help you with? Axle says, first my father the king says; that he's heard of some rumors of pillaging in this town. Is that true? The old man looks at Axle in shock and says, the king! You mean as in the king of this country King Bujon! Dante creeping behind Axle and says, yep we're his kids haha! With a big grin. Dante walks to the man and puts a hand on his shoulder and says, so please sir. Give us any information you may know, regarding these rumors. The man looking down at the ground and then looking up at Dante and he says, well alright! Well for starters about the rumors of pillaging, it's true. I've heard it's a group of bandits from some kingdom but I'm not sure. Axle says, so it is true hmm? Next question do you know what they look like?
The old man looks at Axle with composed eyes and says, no. But only because they wear purple masks. Dante chimes in and says, what kind of masks? The old man says, well they look like some weird looking boarduck masks you get at a festival. Axle folds his arms and says, bluntly. Did they have any symbols on there attire that indicated where there from? The old man sighs and says, well I've only seen one of them, and it's only been at night. I think that's when they like to strike most. But back to what you wanted to here. I believe the one I saw was a woman curvy dressed in dark orange pants and a green vest. Oh! And she had a tattoo of some kind of serpent fish thing on her left arm. And that's all I know. Axle staring at the man with a pressurizing gaze thus turning his back to the man and says, no further questions. Thanks sir! Still with his back turned Axle says, Dante let's go! Let's see if we can get some more info. Dante says, cool ok! But before Dante starts to walk and follow Axle. He digs in his pockets again and takes out some rillo pieces and hands them to the older man and says, thanks for your help sir. Bye! Then Dante turns and runs to catch up to his brother.
