Chapter 173: Poor Harry and Ron's New Wand
After hearing Irina's words, everyone looked at Lynn in surprise, and even Ron seemed incredulous.
Just now, when Irina released a Patronus that was no weaker than Lynn's, Ron was secretly pleased that his older sister could defeat the top Slytherin. But before he could be happy for two seconds, he found out that it was Lynn who had taught Irina the Patronus charm.
One can imagine the psychological impact Ron suffered.
"I didn't expect you could teach people spells! Are you planning to stay at Hogwarts and become a professor in the future?" Mr. Weasley sighed in admiration and then asked curiously.
Lynn chuckled, shrugged, and said, "I can't say for sure; after all, that will be several years from now."
Mr. Weasley nodded. Indeed, it was too early to ask Lynn about his future plans at the moment. After all, professional orientation at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is only provided to young wizards in their fifth year, just before the OWL exams.
Under the warm invitation of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Lynn and Irina agreed to stay as guests at the Burrow until the start of school, and Mrs. Weasley asked Fred and George to free up two vacant rooms for them.
Of course, the Burrow didn't have that many rooms, so Mrs. Weasley had no choice but to make Ron and Percy share a room, and let Ginny sleep in the same room as her.
In the following days, Lynn and Irina lived with the Weasleys as guests at the Burrow.
During these days of living together, Lynn also met many other Weasleys, except for Fred and George.
Ginny no longer feared Lynn as much as before, understanding that Lynn wouldn't harm her.
However, Lynn and Irina didn't stay at the Burrow all day.
Every afternoon, to take Irina out to play, Lynn would return to the training field at Rowle Manor and take her to practice those dark arts.
In just over a week of practice, Irina became more competent at casting dark magic, except for the Unforgivable Curses and the fiendfyre Curse.
To ensure Irina's mind wasn't corrupted by dark magic, even if the dark magic she used wasn't an Unforgivable Curse (which has an extremely severe reaction), Lynn would cast a Patronus spell immediately after she cast the spell.
Additionally, after removing the Patronus spell, Lynn would also ask Irina to cast the Patronus Charm three times before allowing her to practice the next piece of dark magic.
Under Lynn's meticulous protection, after learning this dark magic, Irina's character didn't change in the slightest as Lynn's had. Instead, she remained as innocent and kind-hearted as ever, despite having learned dark magic.
Soon, the penultimate day before the start of classes arrived.
That day, Hermione also came to the Burrow as a guest. Not only that, but Mr. Weasley also brought some not-so-good news.
"I heard from my colleagues at the Ministry of Magic that Harry was warned by the Ministry of Magic for inflating his Muggle aunt, which violated the regulations that underage wizards cannot use magic outside of school. And in recent days, he's been living at the Leaky Cauldron!"
Mr. Weasley told everyone.
Upon hearing this, Hermione, Fred, George, and Ron instinctively looked at Lynn and Irina.
As you know, the two people who blocked the Ministry of Magic's traces through Lynn's alchemy are probably the only underage wizards in the house who can cast magic at will.
"Oh, poor Harry," said Irina sympathetically.
"What?" exclaimed Hermione, looking worried, "Will Harry be expelled?"
Mr. Weasley shook his head and said, "Fortunately, Minister Fudge allowed Harry to continue studying at Hogwarts, but if he breaks the rules and casts spells outside of school in the future, he might really be expelled."
Ron popped his head in, "Dad, did you say Harry is at the Leaky Cauldron right now? How about we go find him?"
At that moment, Mrs. Weasley came downstairs and said seriously, "No, it's too late today! But I agree that you should all go together to Diagon Alley tomorrow to buy the school supplies you'll need after classes start the following day. And tomorrow, by the way, buy Ron a new wand!"
After learning that he was about to receive a new wand, Ron clapped with joy.
Harry, who was living at the Leaky Cauldron, had been forgotten for quite some time by him.
So, after agreeing on a time and place to meet the next day, Hermione went home first.
Lynn and Irina went upstairs to rest after enjoying dinner at the Burrow.
The next morning.
Lynn and Irina followed the Weasley family to Diagon Alley, where Hermione had been waiting for a long time.
Originally, Hermione wanted to visit Harry at the Leaky Cauldron, but Ron was very eager to get a new wand, so they had to go to Ollivanders' Wand Shop with Ron to buy a new wand for him.
It didn't take long before Mr. Ollivander selected a wand that suited Ron very well. It was a 14-inch willow wand with a unicorn tail hair core.
According to Mr. Ollivander, this is a wand suitable for innocent and good-hearted wizards.
After buying the new wand, everyone simply moved on to buy textbooks and some magical supplies for use in class.
Of course, Lynn and Irina had already finished buying what they needed for the next year on August 19th, so they simply accompanied Hermione and the four Weasleys to buy textbooks and magical supplies.
The process of purchasing magical supplies was very simple, but they encountered two small issues while buying textbooks.
The first small problem was that Hermione had taken all the elective subjects, so the Flourish and Blotts employee spent a lot of time looking for textbooks for Hermione.
The second small problem was that Hagrid, who was about to take up the post of Care of Magical Creatures professor this year, had chosen "The Monster Book of Monsters" as a textbook.
You must know that before the "Monster Book of Monsters" is properly calmed, these "Monster Books" will behave like wild beasts. Not only will they bite the hands of the employees, but they will also fight each other. The other "Monster Books" in the cage were killing each other, biting into pieces and sending torn paper flying everywhere.
After learning that Hermione and Ron each needed a copy of "The Monster Book of Monsters," the employee seemed to be on the verge of tears.
Seeing this, Irina offered to go to the cage and retrieve "The Monster Book of Monsters." She used the method Hagrid had taught her to tame these books during the days she had been invited to Newt's house.
The "Monster Book of Monsters" that was originally about to bite Irina's arm suddenly trembled in her hand, then calmed down, and Irina took it out and stored it obediently.
