The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 172: Visiting the Burrow

Most of the theoretical knowledge of dark magic recorded in the books is nonsensical. It's the rapture of authors trying to lure readers into the abyss of dark magic.

What Irina really needs to focus on are the spells, the casting gestures, and the effects of these dark magic spells.

Among this large pile of dark magic books and materials, the only ones worth a careful read for Irina are probably the Fire Curse and the Three Unforgivable Curses.

Thus, Irina spent the entire night on the fourth floor of Rowle Castle, and even Linn brought her dinner from downstairs.

It wasn't until one in the morning that Irina finished reading all the theoretical knowledge of dark magic and walked tiredly to the guest room prepared by Lynn to rest.

The next day.

This was the day that Lynn and Irina planned to visit the Weasley family at the Burrow.

Both Lynn and Irina woke up very early. After breakfast, they prepared to travel to the Burrow through the Floo Network at the fireplace in the living room.

Since they were visiting someone else's house, it was obviously impolite to ask the house-elf Gale to appear at someone else's house by force.

Lynn took a handful of Floo powder from an ashtray that contained Floo powder and then handed the ashtray to Irina.

Lynn approached the fireplace, and suddenly a green flame ignited in the hearth.

"The Burrow."

Lynn walked toward the fireplace. He read the Weasley family address a little uncertainly and threw the Floo powder in his hand.

With the house-elf Gale nearby, Lynn rarely had the chance to use the Floo Network, so he wasn't very skilled with it.

Even Lynn, who came from a pure-blood family, was like this, let alone Irina, who was born a Muggle.

Irina had never used Floo powder before.

Since receiving the acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, this was the first time Irina traveled through the Floo Network, and her memories of being a fan of the Floo Network still remained in the original books and movies.

Seeing Lynn disappear into the green fire, Irina swallowed nervously before walking toward the fireplace.

She silently prayed in her heart, hoping to speak clearly and at least not have a "bad landing" like Harry.

Irina closed her eyes, threw the Floo powder in her hand, and quietly said, "The Burrow."

Flames shot up suddenly, and Irina felt the scene in front of her moving rapidly.

The next moment, she stumbled out of a chimney.

Just as she was about to fall, a pair of hands caught her.

"Keep your balance when exiting the Floo Network."

Lynn withdrew his hands and told Irina.

Though he himself hadn't used the Floo Network many times, he still had the impression that he wouldn't fall when exiting the Floo.

"Ah, Irina! Welcome to our home!"

At that moment, a surprised voice came from not far away. Irina looked closer and found Ron standing next to the table with a smile on his face.

The Weasley family and the Weasley twins were also there.

On the stairs of the Burrow, Irina also saw Percy, the Gryffindor prefect, and Ginny, the youngest child of the Weasley family.

Ginny seemed a little scared of Lynn. After realizing he was there too, she timidly shrank behind Percy.

"Welcome, Lynn and Irina," said Mrs. Weasley cheerfully to both of them.

Lynn and Irina greeted Mr. and Mrs. Weasley at the same time, saying in unison, "Nice to meet you!"

Mrs. Weasley smiled warmly and said, "Good children! Have you had breakfast?"

Lynn said, "We already ate, Mrs. Weasley. Irina and I had breakfast together at Rowle Castle."

"Together?" Mrs. Weasley seemed a bit surprised.

Lynn explained, "I invited Irina to my house yesterday, and we talked about the Patronus Charm. But after discussing the Patronus Charm, it was too late, so she stayed in my guest room for the night."

Mrs. Weasley nodded understandingly.

Mr. Weasley asked curiously, "The Patronus Charm? You're learning the Patronus Charm?!"

Lynn nodded, recited the incantation, waved his wand, and the silver wolf appeared in front of everyone.

The Patronus Charm is not something that Lynn would hide. First, because it is an auxiliary spell and can only be considered a standard method for him, and the situations in which it can be used in battle are extremely limited. It doesn't function like a trump card.

The second reason is that being able to cast a Patronus in most cases is a symbol of a kind and just wizard. Showing his ability to produce a physical Patronus can easily make Lynn leave a good impression on many highly respected wizards, which doesn't harm him at all.

"The physical Patronus! Incredible. It must be a wolf, right?" Mr. Weasley exclaimed in surprise. He didn't expect Lynn, a young wizard about to be in his fourth year, to cast a physical Patronus so easily.

"Irina, can you cast a Patronus?"

At that moment, Ron looked at Irina with interest. He hoped his good friend could compare with this Slytherin boy.

Though after the past two years, Ron was no longer as hostile toward Lynn as before, his discrimination against Slytherin had not lessened at all. In his view, Gryffindor is a just person who should be defeated.

Hearing Ron's words, Irina didn't think much of it. She also recited the incantation and waved the wand in her hand.

A cute silver fox appeared at Irina's feet. This silver fox, originally a bit shy, actually showed a look of surprise after seeing the silver wolf nearby. It then cautiously approached the silver wolf, sniffing here and there, constantly looking at the silver wolf.

Everyone didn't pay much attention to the odd behavior of the silver fox and simply considered it a sign of sympathy between the Patronuses.

They were more interested in the fact that Irina, a young witch about to enter her third year, was able to perfectly cast a physical Patronus.

Mr. Weasley applauded and said, "That's incredible, Lynn and Irina! Can you tell me where you learned the Patronus Charm?"

Lynn smiled slightly and said, "Uncle Weasley, you're being modest. I learned the Patronus Charm from my mentor, you know, the famous French alchemist, Wallison Green."

Upon hearing Lynn call him "Uncle," Mr. Weasley felt even happier and turned his attention to Irina.

"Irina learned the Patronus Charm from Lynn. His Patronus is very powerful, and he teaches it very well!" Irina said with a sweet smile.
