The Licentious Cultivator

Chapter 320: Chapter 319: Eccentric Reverend Divine Prime Jade

Byron's words were cold and simple. The martial warriors could hear him as clear as day.

"The final trial of the time path true inheritance?"

"Finally"

"I just can't wait to leave this place"

"…"

The martial warriors all had different things to say but one thing was certain. They were truly excited.

After some jubilant exchanges, the eleven martial warriors turned to face Byron again as if asking, what is this final trial?

Byron chuckled and the martial warriors suddenly tensed. They remembered the previous trials and knew how difficult they were. Many of them lost their lives because of them.

Of the sixty four martial warriors that entered the aperture fragment, only eleven remained excluding Alaka'i. If any of the forces returned without gaining the time path true inheritance, it would be a great loss for them.

Byron seemed to know what they were thinking and simply smiled: "Do not think too much. This final trial is simple. You will all fight yourselves and the last person alive will gain the time path true inheritance"

"Hmm!?" The martial warriors paled at Byron's words. Who would have thought that they would have to massacre each other at the final step?

Immortal Star, An Yin and the others from Eight Extremities Palace exchanged glances and had complex expressions. They had fought many battles together and had developed a sense of familiarity for one another. They found it hard to even think of killing themselves.

"Do not worry. My main body does not indulge in needless killing. Those who die will be revived and sent back to the aperture fragment" Byron said simply.

"Doesn't indulge in needless killing?" Lu Zheng nearly coughed at Byron's words. It was common knowledge that Reverend Divine Prime Jade was the most murderous of the past five Reverends.

It was often said that meeting him was as good as dying.

Even though he had these thoughts, Lu Zheng did not dare to voice them. Even so, Byron gave him a weird look before shaking his head.

"Follow me" Byron said after retracting his gaze from Lu Zheng.

The martial warriors exchanged glances before walking after Byron.

The stone island was incredibly crude and simple like it had been carved from a stone mountain in a rush. The surface was incredibly rough and the soles of the martial warrior's shoes were quickly cut apart and rendered useless.

If it were not for their strong physiques, they would have suffered serious injuries to the soles of their feet.

As they walked away from the edge of the stone island, the ground level seemed to rise and soon, they could see a grand temple.

The temple was beautifully constructed and unlike the rest of the stone island, the ground was paved with white stone. As the martial warriors walked after Byron, they could sense a feeling of antiquity from the temple.

The temple had many buildings, all constructed in a similar design. The walls were made of wood that glistened like metal and the roofs were made of precious metals and gems.

At the centre of the temple was a grand shrine but Byron did not lead them into the shrine. He took them to a large building at a side of the temple.

Inside the building, there were many paintings on the walls and statues carved from wood, stone and metal. The paintings and statues were all about Reverend Divine Prime Jade and each depicted different journeys he had embarked on during his lifetime.

By merely gazing at the pictures, the martial warriors could glisten a rough understanding of the story behind them.

One painting showed the young Reverend comprehending the secrets of the Heavenly Dao. He was refined and smart looking, giving off a scholarly aura. Another showed him fighting about twenty experts on his own as his hair danced wildly in the air with a madden expression of bloodlust carved on his face. His aura was raw with battle lust.

Lu Zheng wondered how the Reverend had two extreme personalities and how he managed to keep them balanced with each other.

Byron did not stop to explain the pictures and statues. They were not on a museum tour.

After some turns, they found themselves in a large room. The walls of the room were made with shiny tiles and on the ground, the insignia of Reverend Divine Prime Jade was stylishly drawn – a grand jade with blue flames on one side and red flames on the other, perfectly describing the Reverend's eccentric nature.

Finally, at this moment, Byron stopped and faced the martial warriors behind him: "We're here"
