The Licentious Cultivator

East Extremity was a handsome man with a curious gaze. His hair was brown like maple tree and his eyes were purple like amethyst. Even though he was staring at Lu Zheng, he made no attempt to hide it.

Although they were at a table, he still had a small book on his laps.

The Palace King was different. He was dressed in a simple uniform and had blond hair that curled at the ends. A refined scholarly air surrounded him as he sipped his tea and the confidence of a peak expert could be sensed from his actions.

When he gazed at Lu Zheng, he smiled faintly: "Moon Envoy, Lu Zheng. I congratulate you on your great success in the secret realm. Come join us for tea, you too, An Yin"

An Yin's pupils enlarged in surprise from being invited to drink tea with peak experts such as this. He never knew that he too could one day receive such a treatment.

Lu Zheng's pupils glistened as he sat at a side of the table on a comfortable pillow. He sipped a bit of the tea and allowed the flavour to mix in his mouth before swallowing it.

The tea was incredibly delicious. It had many tastes and among them, eight were very distinct. Those eight tastes seemed to remind Lu Zheng of his many travels around the world during his past lifetime as they wrapped around his tongue and went down his throat.

"Truly enjoyable" Lu Zheng did not hold back his praise for the tea.

The Palace King smiled at Lu Zheng's words and sipped a bit of his tea too: "The tea was refined by our Grandmaster Cangxiang and has many medicinal benefits. Your meridians should be able to absorb more of the ambient Qi during cultivation now"

An Yin was stunned as he sipped the tea too. His expression became lofty as he enjoyed the tea. He never knew Cangxiang Ziwu could make such a masterpiece.

Lu Zheng and the Palace King engaged in small talk as An Yin and East Extremity sat at a side. An Yin would speak at times but East Extremity remained glued to his book.

Even as they spoke, Lu Zheng's mind never stopped working.

From the very beginning, Lu Zheng had been on guard for the Palace King's methods. The righteous path rarely succumbed to violence unless they were dealing with demonic path experts knee deep in evil.

This setting itself was a method of the Palace King to establish a sense of superiority over Lu Zheng. Lu Zheng was a lone martial practitioner and he was seated with three righteous path experts.

These three were also all stronger than him. Even if a fight was unlikely, the Palace King was displaying his strength.

The Palace King had also referred to Lu Zheng as Moon Envoy. This was meant to tell Lu Zheng his connection to the Palace and to show that even as an external member of Eight Extremities Palace, the Palace King was still his superior.

In fact, the other two men were also superiors to Lu Zheng in this faction. East Extremity was a member of one of the legendary Eight Extremities and An Yin who had reached the third tier of Original realm was sure to be given a position of importance in the near future.

Unlike these men, Lu Zheng's status was a flimsy Moon Envoy.

The final straw was the tea.

Tea was never simple, especially among the righteous path. Good tea could only be refined with high rank cultivation materials and high rank cultivation materials could only be gotten with high battle strength.

As such, tea was a form of displaying strength.

The Palace King did not stop there. He also added that it was refined by Cangxiang Ziwu, one of their three Grandmasters. He was creating a wider gulf between him and Lu Zheng mentally.

Lu Zheng clicked his tongue as he sipped his tea. The eight flavours mixed around his tongue in a sublime manner as his eyes shimmered.
