Veronica's face contorted in pain and shock as blood began to spill from her nose, ears, and mouth. Her trembling hands instinctively reached for the longsword embedded deep in her stomach.

The weapon's polished, razor-sharp edge shimmered cruelly in the dim light, its crimson hue reflecting the blood now pooling beneath her.

Her knees buckled, and her strength drained with each passing second. Her tear-filled eyes met Ali's cold, unyielding mask as her expression faded into nothingness.

Her body finally went limp, the life drained from her in agonising silence.

Ali, his grip firm, held the handle of the massive longsword for another breath before pulling it free in one swift motion. Blood splattered across the forest floor, leaving a haunting trail.

Veronica's lifeless corpse crumpled to the ground with a dull thud.

Ali glanced at her fallen corpse for only a moment before lifting his gaze to the Jedi Master. He closed his eyes briefly then reopened them, his expression devoid of emotion.

The crimson mask made his face unreadable, but the chilling aura radiating from him spoke volumes.

'She's one of how many, Ali?' he thought to himself, a fleeting moment of introspection buried beneath layers of darkness.

The Jedi Master's voice cut through the tension, her tone filled with righteous anger. "You Sith… You leave nothing but destruction and death behind. Is this all you know? To take and to destroy?"

Ali remained silent, his cold demeanour unwavering as he sheathed the longsword back onto his belt. The Jedi Master wasted no time, the air around her charged with her fury.

Rocks, debris, and shattered fragments of the wreckage around them rose into the air as she unleashed her power.

The debris flew at Ali with immense force, each piece like a missile intent on obliterating him. But Ali, with calculated precision, sprinted forward.

His crimson lightsaber, summoned to his hand through the Force, ignited with a sharp hiss. Behind him, his other sabers hovered in deadly orbit, slicing through the flying debris like hot knives through butter.

Ali met the Jedi Master's charge head-on, his cross-guard lightsaber clashing against her green blade with a deafening BOOM.

The collision of their weapons sent shockwaves rippling through the clearing, uprooting dirt and sending loose debris flying.

The Jedi Master gritted her teeth, drawing on the Force to amplify her strength as she held her ground against Ali's powerful strike. Sparks danced between the clashing lightsabers as their gazes locked.

'She's compensating with Force Strength,' Ali observed as he felt the equal push from her. 'She can maintain it throughout a fight without breaking. Impressive… but not enough.'

With a sudden step back, Ali shifted his weight and struck again, his blows faster and more forceful. His hands, now laced with black veins, swung the lightsaber with terrifying speed and strength. The Jedi Master's eyes widened as she struggled to block his relentless strikes.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Each strike resonated through the clearing, the sound of their battle echoing like a drumbeat of war.

The Jedi Master's perfect defence held strong, each block and parry executed with precision born from years of training.

But Ali's sixth strike was different—it carried an even greater force, the Jedi master used her perfect defence to deflect the lightsaber away from his body.

The Jedi Master lunged forward, her green blade aimed for his chest, but Ali's floating lightsabers intercepted her attack.

BOOM!

The Jedi Master used her free hand to unleash a powerful Force Push, sending Ali sliding back several meters. She stomped the ground, and the earth split beneath her, rocks and shards of metal flying into the air.

She hurled the projectiles at Ali, her control over the Force evident in the precision of her attack. Ali reacted instantly, drawing his twin desert eagles.

He fired rapidly, each bullet shattering a piece of debris before it could reach him.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The Jedi Master advanced through the storm of bullets, her green lightsaber a blur as it deflected the shots with near-impossible accuracy.

Her mastery of the Force and lightsaber technique was on full display, her movements a seamless blend of defence and offence.

Ali's masked face betrayed no emotion as he holstered his pistols and gripped both of his lightsabers. Their duel resumed with renewed intensity, Ali using both blades to block and counter her strikes.

The Jedi Master's attacks came fast and furious, her green saber slicing through the air in intricate patterns. But Ali met her blow for blow, his defence unyielding. Each time her blade came close to breaching his guard, his counter was faster, more calculated.

Finally, Ali saw an opportunity. He let go of his lightsabers mid-swing, allowing them to float and attack independently. The Jedi Master reacted instantly, deflecting the red beams with her own blade and crushing Kale's saber with the Force before it could reach her back.

But Ali had anticipated her move. He lunged to her side, his gloved hands ready to strike.

The Jedi Master extended her free hand, releasing a powerful Force Push to halt his advance. But Ali, prepared this time, countered her Push with his own, neutralising the attack.

Her eyes widened in realisation as Ali's other hand closed the distance.

STAB.

Ali's hand pierced through her stomach, his fingers digging deep into her flesh. The Jedi Master gasped, her body trembling as she staggered back.

Ali withdrew his hand swiftly, dodging her retaliatory lightsaber strike as he stepped back. Blood dripped from his gloved fingers, a stark contrast against the black fabric.

The Jedi Master clutched her wound, her breathing laboured as she channeled the Force to heal herself. The gaping wound in her abdomen began to close slowly, though her strength was waning.

"Impressive trick," Ali remarked, watching her with cold curiosity.

He raised his bloodied hand to his mask, smearing a dark crimson streak across its surface. The addition made the already fearsome visage even more sinister.

The Jedi Master's voice was strained but defiant. "Why would the Sith send someone of your level… just for a rumour? What game are you playing?"

Ali chuckled darkly, his voice dripping with menace. "Buying time, are we?"

He gripped his lightsabers tightly, his posture exuding confidence as he began to close the distance. "Two apprentices. That's all the Sith sent to Tartek."

Her expression faltered, disbelief flashing across her face.

"Apprentice? No… you're lying. You're too strong to be an apprentice."

Ali's silence was more chilling than any retort.

With a sudden burst of speed, enhanced by both Force speed and his natural agility, Ali disappeared from her sight. For the first time, fear flickered in the Jedi Master's eyes.
