Chapter 2: Chapter 1- A warm village
Footsteps echo through the lively streets of a small town. Flowers of all kinds decorate the streets as villagers stroll between improvised food stalls. The small steps stop in front of a grilled vegetable stand.
- Welcome, what are you having little Natasha?
- One of those purple things please.
- One of these perhaps?
The man shows her a huge green pepper inserted in a stick, the disgusted girl shakes her head frantically.
- Of course not!!
- Hahaha, I will never understand why children do not like this wonder.
As he said this, she took a bite of the pepper with a grimace of happiness.
- There really is nothing better than a good grilled pepper.
- C-could you give me my purple thing?
- Ahh, sorry girl, here, the eggplant will be 1 copper coin.
- Here.
After taking a small coin from her bag, she gives it to the man. After taking a bite, a satisfied smile appeared on the girl's face.
- As delicious as ever.
- Of course, I have the best technique in the whole town, not only roasting them but growing them. You know, there was once a time when that poor guy...
By the time the man began his story, the girl had already continued on her way.
- Uncle Javier really loves to talk too much.
Enjoying her eggplant, the girl began her way to the hill where her house was located. On the way she came across a huge field of well-kept flowers arranged neatly around her house. The small path that led her to the top in particular was especially dotted with flowers of different types and colors, each with its own beauty.
- Mommy, I'm here.
- Oh, welcome.
A fearless smile greeted her from the kitchen, with a knife in hand, the girl could only smile bitterly at such a welcome.
- Sister... Where's Mommy?
- Are you not saying hello to your sister anymore?
She tried to ignore her and walk past after concluding that her question would not be answered, but she was hugged from behind before she managed to do so.
- Hey, don't be so rude.
- Leave me alone.
- And I received you and everything.
- Just leave me alone, you are too abrupt sister.
- Don't worry about details.
After a few useless moments of resistance the younger sister surrendered to her sister's arms.
- You really are very cruel sister.
- And you are very cute, how could I resist your cuteness?
- I know you are not serious, you know?
- Wow, was I that obvious?
- Just leave me alone.
After breaking free from her sister's grip, Natasha went to the shared room she had with her sister to leave her bag.
- Our parents are visiting that place.
- Really? I guess I'll go see how everything is going.
Before she could run away again she was caught.
- What are you talking about? You have to help me with the food here.
- I don't want to do it.
- Come on, you don't have to be so defensive, in this house who doesn't work doesn't eat.
- Then I won't eat, I'm not hungry anyway.
- Of course you won't be hungry after eating Uncle Javier's vegetables.
An awkward smile grew on Natasha's face.
- … Was I that obvious?
- Not really, you just gave yourself away.
A sigh of frustration came from Natasha.
- You know very well that you can't fool your sister, right?
- Uggg.
After a few moments, a sudden movement from Natasha made her free herself from her sister's grip and run out of the house.
- Hey!
She ran out of the house before her sister could react.
When she made sure that she wasn't being followed, she headed towards that place.
