The seeds we plant

Chapter 3: Chapter 2- Sunrose

"That place," also known as Sunrose, is the spot on the border of the forest and the garden where Natasha's parents planted their favorite flowers respectively. Her parents are renowned herbalists who have gained some fame among the villagers and the neighboring town. But it seems that they are not only interested in medicinal herbs, but in the flowers themselves. Half of the huge garden that the couple maintains together with their eldest daughter was made up of ornamental flowers. The Sunrose in particular was well kept and they only had 2 types of flowers growing, roses and sunflowers.

- Mommy, Daddy

- Ohh, what are you doing here Nat?

Natasha lunges into her father's arms as he greets her, the father quickly pulls her up to his chest and gives her a huge hug.

- Natasha? Shouldn't you be helping Dorothy with dinner?

- Ah… that… I went to the house to offer my help, but Dorothy said she was fine on her own.

Her mother's cold gaze pierced the girl as she desperately avoided her gaze by burying her face in her father's chest. A few moments later she finally sighed.

- Nat, it's okay that at your age you want to have fun and let yourself be pampered by your father, but keep in mind that just like your sister you must assume your own responsibilities.

- Dad... do I really have to go?

A puppy look attacked the man directly. He could do nothing but moan at the sudden point-blank attack he received from his daughter.

- Of course you don't have to go!

The force in her hug doubled causing her daughter to let out a moan this time. At this scene the mother couldn't help but sigh.

- You really pamper her too much.

- But how can I avoid it! My daughter is the most beautiful thing that exists in this world. Look for yourself.

The attack of the gaze now turned to her mother. Despite her hard front, she also staggered.

- I-I admit that she is cute…, but that doesn't mean she can evade her responsibilities.

- Tch.

The girl clicked her tongue at the ineffectiveness of her attack on her mother. Her father began to gently caress the girl's head while she looked at him perplexed by the sudden action.

- Nat listen to me. It's true that you are still little and perhaps you don't think that responsibilities are important, but think a little about Dot, she tries hard to have a hot meal when we all return home after doing what we have to do. You have to help her from time to time so that you can learn from her, just like she learned from your mother.

- B...but my sister doesn't really like me. She doesn't really think I'm cute! Besides, she is too rough with me and keeps trapping me in her arms.

- T-that's just her way of showing you her affection. She may be a little rough, but she undoubtedly loves you.

Natasha could only respond with an incredulous look at her father as he looked sweetly at his daughter's doubts.

- Nat, since you're here, help us with the care of the flowers.

- Yes

A joyful expression emerged from the girl at her father's proposal. This had undoubtedly been the girl's goal from the beginning. Ever since she was as small as a stool, she showed an interest in the flowers her parents planted around their house. Even now she showed a bright smile as she helped her parents water, prune, and care for the flowers.

"She really loves flowers… there's huge potential here."
