The Villainous Noble Who Kept Rewinding After Death: The Story Somehow Changed When I Committed Suicide

Chapter 113: Time for Medication

~side Ryan~

Ryan, having escaped from Lewis, was dragging his broken leg through the forest.

“Dammit. My leg hurts. How did it come to this…”

It had started well enough when he received Hydra’s poison from that suspicious man and prepared to put it in Shanrain, but because Lewis had been overly cautious and didn’t trust Ryan at all, he ultimately failed to administer the poison.

On top of that, he had been abandoned by both his father and Shuvina, along with her parents. Lewis’s magic had broken his arms and legs, leaving Ryan mentally pushed to the brink of breaking.

“What have I done? I just wanted the person I love to notice me, I only tried to get rid of an annoying pest…”

Though inherently wrong, Ryan remained blissfully unaware that his determination to achieve Shuvina would justify any means.

“W-What’s that? The ground is shaking?”

Suddenly, the ground began to tremble, and the sky, which had been bright just moments ago, turned purple.

“W-What in the world…?”

“Oh dear? I wondered who it could be and found you, Ryan-sama!”

“You—!”

“Hehehe. Long time no see.”

The one who spoke to Ryan, who had fallen to the ground from the tremors, was the man who had previously handed him Hydra’s deadly poison. With a deep hood obscuring his face, he looked down at Ryan with bulging eyes.

“What brings you to a place like this?”

“That’s…”

“Hmm… A broken arm and leg, and filthy clothes. I take it you’ve failed?”

“N-No!!”

“Well, given the state you’re in, it’s hard to believe that.”

Seeing Ryan’s dirty clothes and broken limbs, the man provocatively remarked.

“C-Cut it out!!”

“Hehehe. Quite a sight, isn’t it? To think you were so full of bravado, and yet here you are, failing miserably. Truly foolish.”

“Shut up, shut up, shut up!!”

“I shall grant you my power, a gift for you. Here, take this?”

The man pulled out a small vial containing tiny black grains and held it up for Ryan to see.

“What is this?!”

“Hehe. This potion will grant you immense power just by drinking it. Take it, and firmly achieve your revenge.”

“Power…?”

“Yes, yes. Immense, indeed. After being humiliated twice, do you intend to just take it lying down?”

“Why are you giving this to me! What’s in it for you?!”

“Hehe. Didn’t I say it before? I simply wish to support your feelings of love. Now, drink this and seek your vengeance.”

Ryan hesitated for a moment to drink the suspicious potion, but the humiliation he suffered from Lewis and being abandoned by his father made him swallow the contents of the vial without further thought.

“Something like this can’t possibly— Gah!! Cough!!!”

At first, nothing changed, but then Ryan suddenly started to writhe in pain, clutching his chest.

“Gah!! Ugh… Ahhhhh!!!”

Scratching at his throat from the pain caused blood to flow from his neck, but it was not red; it had turned black, and Ryan’s body began to transform increasingly.

“Hmm. It seems the changes are proceeding well, albeit still experimental. Now let’s see if you maintain your sanity and how powerful you’ve become.”

As the man analyzed the effects of the potion while watching Ryan, the transformation halted.

“GAAAAAAAH!!!!”

“Hmm. No sanity left, I see. It seems adjustments will be necessary. Well, this was a rather good experiment, I suppose.

I have no further use for this man, so I’ll be heading back to Hydra. Ah, and it seems your beloved lady has made her way into this forest. What you choose to do now is entirely up to you.”

After witnessing the drug’s effect, the man vanished like smoke, leaving Ryan behind.

“Shu… Vina! Shu Vina! SHU VINA!!!!”

Left alone, Ryan continued to call out Shuvina’s name while instinctively moving toward the direction where Lewis and the others had just entered the forest.

~side Lewis~

After leaving Shuvina’s house, we dashed through the woods towards the revived Hydra.

“Shuvina, you don’t have to push yourself. It’s fine if you want to come later.”

“I’m fine. Just keep running!”

Although we were using body enhancement to sprint, the speed of the Fiera, who has naturally high agility, and my well-trained pace made it tough for Shuvina, the rear guard, to keep up, making her breathe heavily as she showed signs of fatigue.

“If it’s too much, just tell me. I can’t wait, but if you want to come later, that’s alright.”

“Okay. I understand.”

While we continued running with Shuvina, I noticed through my detection magic something approaching us at an outrageous speed.

“Something’s coming. Stop for a moment.”

Following my command, Fiera and Shuvina halted to remain vigilant, as we heard something flying down from the sky.

“Above!”

Looking up at the now-purple sky, we saw a beast-like creature with a body length of about 2.5 meters, purple skin, red eyes, and bat-like wings descending toward us.

It landed slowly in front of us, drooling as it continued to gaze in our direction.

“That’s…”

“Shuvina… SHUVINA, SHUVINA, SHUVINA!!!!”

“Could it be…?”

“It’s Ryan.”

Reading the magic power of the creature before us confirmed it was Ryan, which I relayed to the others.

Fiera seemed indifferent, but Shuvina appeared greatly disturbed, stepping back while covering her mouth with her hand.

(Is that a potion made by the demon race? But it looks different from what I know… Is it an incomplete product?)

Back in my previous life when I attended the academy, there had been a horrific incident where the demon race attacked a village, turning people into monsters or pseudo-demons.

While it was surely the heroes who resolved that event, I too had witnessed the aftermath first-hand.

However, those people were much more vicious, possessing various monster traits like chimeras, while Ryan in his current state didn’t seem all that dreadful.

“Well, I was going to kill him anyway, and he came right to me, so this works out well.”

“Wait.”

As I reached for my Ignid, Shuvina urged me to hold on.

“What? Are you telling me to let him go now? There’s no saving that guy anymore.”

“I know that. I don’t want him saved. What I mean is, I’ll take care of him myself.”

“You?!”

I was a bit taken aback by her unexpected words, diverting my gaze from Ryan to look at Shuvina.

“Yes. He’s my kind. I’ll deal with the shame of my kind myself. Moreover, I don’t want to make you clean up after me anymore.”

As she said this, Shuvina grasped the silver bow she had slung over her shoulder in her left hand while holding a quiver of arrows in her right.

“Are you sure?”

“Of course. I’m prepared for this.”

“Understood. If you end up tired afterward, you can rest.”

“Hehe. I’ll definitely catch up with him, so just wait!”

“Shu… Vina, do your best!”

“Thank you, Fiera. While I go, please support him so he can enjoy the fight.”

Fiera nodded in response to Shuvina’s words and quickly positioned herself beside me.

With that, we entrusted this situation to Shuvina and sprinted off once again toward Hydra.

“Hehe. Alright! We have to finish this quickly to catch up with him!”

“SHUVINA!!!!”

Thus, the battle began between Ryan, who had become a monster due to the demon’s potion, and Shuvina.
