I was abandoned by my parents on my fifth birthday.

Just as the girl called Kushana and the boy named Roland started arguing, I raised my hand and for the first time spoke since arriving here.

I thought if my presence was the problem, leaving would solve everything, yet I got scolded by Kushana for even suggesting it.

Kamael said that with a smile, but from the looks of it, he seemed to be the oldest among them, so should he be the one bringing everyone together?

“For now, we can’t just send you back since we’ve already brought you here; from now on, you’re part of our family!”

And so, I received the name Lavienne from Kamael, finally giving me a new family.

Later, I got to see similar exchanges with a boy named Ryug, who returned in the evening, but he too accepted me.
